If you are among the top200 transcribers of the previous week, yes. It's just a reward. Being a gold member is now nothing on QA world because no much call for them too. But many Silver badge members are getting the feature if they perform well.

but how do you be among the top when there's hardly calls in the first place?

Using chrome tools the value of principal , rate and time as at run time is null hence calc1 is giving me 0.
I am using Visual code as my editor .

Regarding Security+ there are lots of materials on this thread, just in case you need more information. Also, Alison courses has a free Security+ training and that also offers you a certificate of completion before writing the exam.

Pearson advance has a couple of flexible free courses that you can enroll for. One of which is:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: https://pearsonadvance.com/courses/aws-certified-cloud-practitioner/
Course is self paced and runs till December 2020 (subject to change)
Duration/commitment: 4 weeks (4 - 8 hours)
Experience level say Intermediate, but my recommendation is anyone with basic knowledge of AWS can enroll.

Here's a caveat from the site:
This is a popular course and seats are limited. In an effort to support our active learners, you are required to log two days of activity within 7 days of starting the course. Inactive students will be unenrolled to allow other learners the opportunity for enrollment.

PS: I'm really trying to be careful with the word "free" these days as some of these vendors try to outsmart us. Nonetheless, I will keep sharing any resource I come across.

Believe it or not I have learnt javascript. I know all the basics. I've mastered loops, arrays, variables, functions, methods, classes, etc. I've watched tons of videos and I'm tired of video, no way to ask questions or anything. If you're very good with javascript and you live in Port Harcourt kindly mention me. Greetings one and all. I'll try to make my lamentation as short as possible.

My mother accused me of stealing her 2k, but I assure you, I didn't. The money got missing on Thursday night according to her and my 13 year old brother. I won't do such a thing, because the times are hard and the pandemic is fueling this hard times. I'm not lazy, I kind of work from home, I write for opera news hub and to some extent I get money from there, currently I have 19k in my account. I have no motive of taking her money, but she insists I took it, and is currently threatening to throw me out of the house.

This is not the first time such thing has happened. When I was still in secondary school, money got missing often and she'll blame me, beat me and starve me for stealing her money, but God helped me and the culprit was found, my other brother was caught, he is 18 now and doesn't stay with us anymore. He stays with my dad. She never apologized for what she did and the scars of that emotional and physical abuse still ripples across my body. But this time I'm not sure I will forgive her if the money is found. I'm planning on leaving home and starting my life somewhere, it's hard, it might just be my naivety speaking, but I need your advice.

The only skill I have is writing and web designing, which I'm almost getting good at. I just need help and guidance. I'm a 200level student and I major in psychology. I'll be 21 by November.

Hey guys. I’ve always been reading topics and posts on this section from the sidelines so i thought I’d create an account and contribute a couple of things. This post is aimed at answering a couple of questions as to what programming language you should learn and the mode of learning with the highest ROI.

First things first, i see a lot of guys here that try to discourage newbies from going into web development. It is for this singular reason that i really decided to make this post.

What Language should you begin with?

There is no one correct answer to this question. To be able to make an informed decision in relation to this important question, you need to focus on 2 things. First thing is why you’re thinking of learning to code plus what you intent to do with the language you might end up choosing.
The second thing comes after you’ve answered the first which is the Numbers of the surrounding the language you choose. The numbers of active GitHub repositories and the numbers of remote jobs listing that ‘this’ language has.

WEB, MOBILE or DESKTOP?

If you want to answer this based on the second parameter that we assigned to the “What language should you begin with question” , no other form on programming comes close to web-based programming in numbers(all ramifications ). The web is now very very different what it was 5-10 years ago. Hell! It’s even different from what it was 2 years ago . I know over a lot of guys that are in Europe today through the power of JavaScript! I myself did an interview for a firm in the U.S couple of months ago but i didn’t get the job based on falling off short in some few points that would take me to the final round. I have a couple of tests from 2 firms in Europe that i haven’t taken yet. It’s just there sitting in my mailbox waiting till I’m ready for the assessment. What I’m really trying to say is, the web provides a huge opportunity both local and international if you’re really really good at what you do! As a side note, JavaScript happens to be the language that dominates the web (do with this side-note information what you will )


MODE OF LEARNING?
Again, a lot of guys here tell newbies not to learn from YouTube tutorials. I cringe when i see this and I’ll tell you why .

The best way to learn introductory concepts of programming is YOUTUBE/UDEMY! Eventually if programming is your calling, your instincts will push you to search for more information on the tutorials that you’ve watched which will in turn lead to reading of books and articles. In this way, you’re already Hot for clarity and knowledge which makes reading and assimilation almost seamless.
Do not put the cart before the horse.

it's because you're trying to learn the syntax instead of focusing on the concepts. Once you have understood the key concepts of javascript the rest becomes easy

When Shola's mom called me her first question was do i know who the father of Samuel is and I replied and said yes of course it's her grand daughters dad and she said to me I'm the real father of Samuel and that her late daughter reiterated it 2 days before she died guys I went crazy again.
