No they are not. They are temporary. If you are a footballer, your teammates are not necessarily your friends but they are useful and necessary acquaintances. You may decide to make them your friend even though friendship is not necessary. All that's necessary is professionalism.

Take my advice, don't keep friends. Only have necessary and useful acquaintances and business partners. Stop having emotional connections with people. In a world filled with ravenous wolves, being too nice is a weakness.
