Health / Re: COVID-19: Lagos Spends Between N100,000 & N1M Daily On A Patient – Akin Abayomi by techstack: 11:43am On Jul 24, 2020
Angelfrost:
100,000 daily for what exactly??!....

Feeding can't cost more than 3000 daily
Daily Supplements less than 1000 daily
Allowance to Health Providers about 10,000 daily
Other Logistics: Give or take, 10,000

That's a total of less than or about: #25,000.

See ehn, if you want to lie and misappropriate funds, I would expect something more intelligent!!! tongue grin

EDIT

I didnt know its per day though

They will be there for minimum of 14 days, some spend more than that

According to your calculation, #25,000 x 14 = #350,000

what of those that spend 1 month: #25,000 x 30 = #750,000

If they can give us the break down

I read somewhere that testing could cost up to 40k and they can do up to 3 times

I guess the drugs are very expensive
Lets do it like this

Testing
Drugs
Food
Toiletories
Cleaning
Some patient are taking Oxygen
Some patient with underline sickness will require special treatment

Then Duration: Some patient have spent more than a month

Well I will not say they are lieing or not

Can they give us the break down

Its a lie Nigeria is not among the list of countries mentioned.
Some people are just hell-bent on discrediting Nigeria.

I was concerned too. I called someone people the US and Canada. They are not worried about Nigerians. Nigerians are doing legit work and are doing well in all work of life

They are more worried about the Indians.

Family / Re: I Was Chosen As King: Should I Damn The Consequence Or Forget About It Entirely? by techstack: 8:40pm On Jun 30, 2020
JONNYSPUTE:
....Good morning folks. Sure we are all good and managing the effects of pandemic well?. To God be the glory.

This is going to be long because I will want us to read and understand it very well before commenting. Reason is because any decision taken is going to affect both myself,my immediate family members, extended and the entire community.

I have been thinking about the way forward since December last year.

It happened that we lost our king (Eze) 5years ago and the community has been in turmoil due to the inability of the elders to select a new king.

Reason is that it is rotational between my village and the other village.

My village is now supposed to bring out the next king and my compound has been told to bring out somebody to be crowned as a king.

I never envisaged or dreamt of becoming a king in my life because.
(1) My father is still alive.
(2)I'm not the most senior in the entire family.

But then, the elders met me last December and told me that the diety in the community has selected me to become the next king and that I have to pick another wife from the community before I will be crowned.

I told them point and blank that the oracle is mistaken due to the reasons I mentioned above but they are not taking it.

Now everyone in my village is against me for refusing the offer and saying I'm doing it be cause I don't want to hurt my wife which is true.

Now my question is,What do I do?
Should I damn the consequence and pick another wife and be crowned a king in other to make my community happy or should I forget about the whole idea entirely and allow the community sort themselves out?

I'm confused here. N B. My wife is aware of all this.

Thanks.

Please bring this to front page cause I'm no longer myself. So many sleepless nights and selfish advices from the elders in my community. I really need to hear the truth from people I don't know.

They told my dad too.

He did say yes or no

When the wife come, my dad didn't touch for over for a year she left herself.

We were very young then

My mom narrated the story

Said she is proud of my dad.

Just they look them

I just completed my intensive study of Java language and no experience yet. I basically have not used any java framework. as for PHP I have use a couple. Laravel, code igniter, Yii.
Asp.NET is a cool language though, although most things I know about it is that many of goverment projects like JAMB, NYSC and some other are built using Asp, don't know why.

That's nice,
ASP.NET is not government projects, I work for a financial institution and we use Microsoft technologies

keep coding and keep learning

You guessed right wink. Backend is cool too but Frontend these days aren't frontend but more like an hybrid. Well done, what's your stack? MERN, knex, faker?

Yes, MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js
C# at work and Nodejs for private projects

But lately have been using Nestjs. NestJs is Typescript written on top Expressjs by default. you can change it to Fastify.
Nestjs has the same architecture as Angular.

I always get someone to do the frontend on the personal projects while I focus on the backend, unless at work when I have to do asp.net MVC

If you are cool with Nestjs I can let you in on a project. We have a team already. we are looking for more hands for the next phase

A degree is just a piece of paper. Even you that studied CS, what did you build as your project without using Google or other online resources? Lemme tell you, someone that took a Fullstack development course on Udemy and practice for a year would do better than someone that studied CS with major in Web development. CS has other departments like networking and I challenge you to bring the best CS student in your class to challenge a third class Geography student I know that has courses in Cisco, NIT, 3 Coursera courses, and 2 Udemy courses in networking. He's currently with an Israeli firm in Abuja teaching Networking to CS graduates.

There's no overexaggeration, CS graduates don't own the computer or software world, anyone that has a good logical reasoning and patience plus determination would excel. Keep your paper somewhere and build your skill, keep building and building. I am a living testimony of the fact that you don't need a CS Degree to talk to computers, all you need is the right resource, time, lots of sacrifice on personal and financial levels to excel.

This is Sunday and I've been in the office since on Friday due to free internet and light smiley, coding and coding and coding.

I am sure that screenshot is React

I am more of backend C# and Nodejs

Programming / Has Anyone Here Used Nestjs? What's Your Experience by techstack: 3:05pm On Jun 24, 2020
Someone introduced Nestjs framework to me about two years ago but I haven't got anything to do with it then, I was deeply involved in dotNet and Expressjs projects. or I don't know how awesome it will turn out to be.

Early this before COVID 19 lockdown, a friend reached out to me about a payment reporting app. I was to head the development team of the project.

They were choosing Expressjs or FastifyJs, when I stepped in I decided to use Nestjs. And since then it has been a jolly ride. its a framework for building efficient, scalable Node applications

If you are a fan of OOP, Nodejs framework will be Nestjs

Perfect for Angular/Typescript developers.

dotNet developers will find it very easy to work with. with ORM like typeORM, just like Entity framework

NestJS is modular — this means that you create modules.

NestJS’s constructor based dependency injection can help with ordering initialization in the background.

Its created by Kamil Myśliwiec, you can read more about him.

Share your experience if you have used it before.
