jamace: After Buhari's woeful defeat in 2011 Presidential election, Buhari said, "I will never contest election again"

The same Buhari has this to say:

I have countless number of sources.
Including their very PT: http://premiumtimesng.com/news/national/4628-buhari_to_contest_again_in_2015.html

I was waiting for Berem or her partner in crime, Abagworo, to show me where and when GEJ declared his intention.
Maybe she's still googling.

Since Abagworo ran away from the thread he created, I'll assume he has accepted his folly.

Berem, I'll be waiting for your proof or white flag.....anytime!

Guy weather u like it or not. The committee chairman have the right to do what he did. Okonjo started the whole saga.if u can kindly tell me the reason why she made such a statement at 1st. She is just a fuc*king minister that can be sacked anytime. This are honourables that directs the affairs on the nation as a whole....! And not a proud minister directing just the finance of the economy
State one "good thing" your said honorable has done.
And you call the finance of the economy "just"?

You should go back to class, ASUU's strike has been called off!

As usual, opposition bigots will queue up behind any tout from the North against anyone working for GEJ and the good of Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: I‘ll Not Contest 2015 Election – Jonathan by TechWalker007: 1:07pm On Dec 20, 2013
@Berem, I'm still waiting......

If you have proof show me GEJ has declared his intention and I will show you Buhari has declared.

If you don't have proof simply agree you don't have proof and I will still go ahead to show you my proof that Buhari has declared to run in 2015(I know you know this however) after vowing not to EVER PRESENT himself for election again.

Does that mean you don't have proof?
If you don't let me know, I'll prove Buhari's intention nonetheless.

aduboy: Why do some people like to always use tribal and religious sentiments to cover their failures and insincerity. Most supporters of GEJ here just keep mentioning abusive and divisive words to distract the topic. The clear thing I saw from this topic is that Jonathan is not a sincere man and plays a lot to the gallery because am sure no one forced him to make these statements.
You came late, we have thrashed your poo already. Abagworo and berem are still trying to recuperate from their injuries.
PoliticsRe: I‘ll Not Contest 2015 Election – Jonathan by TechWalker007: 12:51pm On Dec 20, 2013
berem: please do prove it. I am eager to know when he did.
I have my proof waiting, but since you asked first, prove to me GEJ has declared his intention and Ii will show you Buhari's.

Bizibi: Nigerians will always be fools unless they wake up,APC and PDP are birds of the same feather, the way APC is going....they are gradually turning to PDP and d bees they accepted will go back to their hive. if una like support buhari and tinubu or obj and ibb,Nigerians should know that these men don't give a damn abt us, until we begin to realize this then we will continue to look like zombies
Sincerely, you made salient points.
What I clamored from the opposition is to demand and help Nigerians demand for dividend of democracy both from the presidency, legislature, state executive and LGAs. To be fair with the opposition, they started well but soon turned to what it is today. That's how folks like me withdrew my support.

I still believe we should support GEJ in his quest for transformation, at least for his first term, nay, the opposition and Northern elites determined since 2010 that they will never accept GEJ or any other person not from Muslim North.
This has got nothing to do with GEJs performance.

In case you didn't notice, I have never defended GEJ whether he said he will contest or not.

I am here to show guys typing from Alausa (i want to assume you are not one) that we will no longer be deceived by their politics of bitterness and anger. And the ultimate aim of returning the presidency to the born-2-rule folks whose only business is government!

Abagworo: You are deviating. If Buhari declares or starts fighting people who want to run for Presidency under APC, then I will believe he's bent on running at all cost. I'm yet to notice that. Jonathan on the other hand is already fighting and punishing people with perceived Presidential ambitions. Tukur has solidly made a statement that he's there to ensure Jonathan is PDP candidate for 2015 without holding any primaries.
berem: but seriously, has Buhari declared his intentions to run for presidency in 2015? What's the noise all about? huh

Please stop this rubbish lubbish, both of you. biko.

Has GEJ declared his intention for 2015?
How does that even concern APC agents?

I was like you too, I got tired of hypocrisy. I backtracked!

Abagworo: I don't think so. I'm not an APC member in case you don't know. 1. I only wrote the truth that Buhari is better than Jonathan one on one. I definitely prefer a younger man that has the leadership qualities than Buhari. 2. Is Buhari contesting 2015?
1. On what grounds? Your double standards?
2. a. I thought your likes and Berem will never cease to tell us he is the best candidate even after 3 back-to-back defeats! grin
b. Has GEJ declared he is running in 2015?
3. But you clearly said you would vote Buhari if he runs and also have not openly declared Buhari has lost his integrity and honour since he said he will never present himself for election and later turned back to say, "if the people want me", I'll be available!

berem: There's nothing wrong if Jonathan contests again. He has every right to contest even though he goofed by making a promise not to contest as a sitting president. The problem is, is he promising a free and fair election? Are we going to have a repeat of the sham election in Anambra at national level? huh
Be careful what you wish for.....

[size=13pt] I will never contest elections again - Buhari

Published on Wednesday, 13 April 2011 16:48

Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) General Muhammdu Buhari (rtd) has said that he will not seek any elective office again after Saturday's Presidential election.

Speaking at grand finale of his electioneering campaign in Abuja yesterday, Buhari said the 2011 campaign was significant for him because it is an election in which more unambigously than the previous two, “2003 and 2007, our victory is assured as evidenced by the unprecedented turnout by people and spontaneous popular acclaim all over the country.”

“This campaign is the third and last one for me since after it I will not present myself again for election into the office of the president,” Buhari said.

While commending voters for coming out mass to vote last Saturday, the CPC presidential candidate however, said it was not good enough, “you must maintain your presence during the counting and collation of votes and announcements of results. Because you haven't done this in all cases, they have already started turning your victories into defeats."

Buhari said the “the massive rigging that took place last Saturday is unacceptable and you must not allow a repeat performance next Saturday”.

Althoguh he did not directly talk about the failed alliance between the CPC and the Action Congress of Nigeria, the former head of state said the task of defeating the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the election is a collective one saying, “in the end we must all in unison send the PDP government packing by giving it a punch on the mouth”.

Abagworo: I don't think I've seen APC kick against Jonathan contesting. In fact most critics demand for free and fair election . It is more of a PDP affair but Jonathan however told the Nigerian populace that he would not contest in 2015 but will give us a credible election. I think most of the PDP Governors left because Tukur refused to guarantee a free and fair Presidential primaries in PDP. I'm sure if Tukur was removed and a free and fair primaries guaranteed, the Governors would have stayed back.
Here's some of your posts:

What makes people believe that he does not have plans of being a life President? As a man, I cannot deal with "Nde ire abuo" twice. Once they lie and I find out, then its over. If Jonathan goes ahead to contest in 2015 then he is not a man of integrity and honour. I'm sure he knows that he cannot even win PDP primaries and that's why he's scared of the polls.
Its a 2011 old news but still of relevance to matters arising today ahead of 2015 elections.
If you give me Jonathan and Buhari, I will definitely vote Buhari. If you give me Buhari and Tambuwal, then it will be difficult but I'll vote Tambuwal for youthfulness. That's the truth with any neutral mind that wants the progress of Nigeria.

"I don't think I've seen APC kick against Jonathan contesting."
- Did you really say this?
What's the purpose of this thread and APC e-goons support here?

You do not think Buhari has lost his "integrity" when he said he will never present himself for election again but think otherwise for GEJ.

It will be better if you take a bow and leave this thread. You can keep viewing as guest.

ocelot2006: What I just read from the article itself is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the headline/topic. Is this a new low and total desperation on the side of the opposition that they've now resorted to posting crap just tp stop GEJ? pity.
And one APC MOD threatened Sincere9gerian for doing the same thing. Now an anti-GEJ thread is quickly moved to front page.
While the thread about Sanusi's goof and apology to NOI is still in the back line.

ocelot2006: You of course, for posting/soaking in an old article just to discredit the President by all means necessary (a very lame move, btw). If that ain't desperation, then I dont know what is.

But I gotta ask. Why are u APC e-thugs and clowns scared of the forthcoming polls? Scared you'll go home crying like Ondo and Anambra?
Yet they claim Nigerians don't want GEJ, why will they not allow the same Nigerians vote him out? why will they ask him not to contest?

In fact APC should be happy GEJ is contesting since they want to make us believe he is corrupt and inept.
Why are they afraid a "corrupt and inept" man is contesting?

At the same time hail Buhari when he contests and go viral with his "integrity" and blah blah blah?!!!

Don't mind that enemy of Nigeria! He would see nothing wrong if Buhari contest after saying "he will never present himself for election" which is a stronger declaration than what GEJ probably said, yet he attempts to discredit GEJ for less.
PoliticsRe: I‘ll Not Contest 2015 Election – Jonathan by TechWalker007: 10:40am On Dec 20, 2013
Abagworo: If you've ever been scammed before, you'll understand the reason not to put further trust in someone that has already changed statement once or twice. He'll keep changing statements and you'll keep falling because of sentiments.
You are making mockery of yourself.
Buhari said he WILL NEVER PRESENT HIMSELF FOR ELECTION AGAIN! Yet you will support him if he does.
Are you not a sad hypocrite?!!

Stop using double standard!!!

Kairoseki77: It probably will be on the front page.

Regardless, you should know that Sanusi very clearly stated that 10.8 to 12 billion dollars is still missing.

The substantive issue still stands. Where is our money?
And you didn't read where NOI interrupted him and corrected his sorry a$$ that the 10.8B is not missing?
If he lied about the 49B why the hell are you still believing he would now be correct with the new figure, except you are looking for the slightest opportunity to attack GEJ. No?

Paid APC e-goon! Keep deluding yourself and washing your dirty underwear in a public forum.

You are even more pathetic with this post and you know it.

Are you among the newest recruits in Alausa or you just changed moniker?
Seems you are learning on the job.
PoliticsRe: Over Alleged Missing $49.8bn Oil Money: Sanusi Says ‘i’m Sorry’ by TechWalker007: 2:25am On Dec 20, 2013
Kairoseki77: I honestly do not support APC.

I support Fashola, because he is the best politician we have.

Like I said, two party democracy is the only thing I care about. And for that to happen, PDP must get weaker and APC must get stronger. From there, you can derive my position on any issue.

I don't like many of the people in Nigerian politics, but...

“You go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you might want or wish to have at a later time” -Donald Rumsfeld, Former US Secretary of Defense
Do you really think corrupt bunches leaving PDP and joining APC makes APC stronger?
No it doesn't. It only makes APC at best, a smaller version of PDP.
A drop of impure water in a drum of pure water. You know what I'm talking about.

NB: APC has never been pure water at any time, so don't feel fly.
PoliticsRe: Over Alleged Missing $49.8bn Oil Money: Sanusi Says ‘i’m Sorry’ by TechWalker007: 1:29am On Dec 20, 2013
Kairoseki77: APC isn't deciding who joins them based on morals. They are asking five questions:

1. What can this person do for us?

2. What are the pros and cons of working together?

3. What do they WANT from us?

4. Are we willing to give them what they want, or help them get it?

5. If we decide not to give them what they want, are they willing to agree on a compromise that we like?

It would take a different thread to discuss why Ribadu and Tinubu joined hands. You should start to see why without me stating it though. Try to work out what both parties get out of the deal.
This is a very pathetic defense.
According to you in the past, these are devils and people destroying Nigeria.
Now they are important to you.
If they choose to remain with PDP we should hate them but when they move over, they are "needed" for change?

You guys are getting worse by the day.

rudedough: I don't have any political affiliation. Infact i hate Nigeria politics but that doesn't mean that i won't bring up the truth when i see one. Read the below quote, does it sound like a general apology or not.

"Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi yesterday told a reconciliation meeting of stakeholders, set up to resolve the controversy over the alleged missing $49.8 billion oil money that he was “misled.”"

Now show me anywhere in the passage where Sanusi personally apologized to NOI. Read the message not the headline next time.
"In fact, Sanusi reportedly apologized to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the advertised mix-up contained in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan, sources at the meeting said."

"He embraced and apologized to the Minister of Finance for the mix-up,” said the source."

Please do not take that out. Sanusi was schooled by the impeccable NOI and he mellowed.
