hotwax: Actually, whoever APC nominates will determine if I will vote for Jonathan. Now you are beginning to make sense. That's the point we are making. If you field the wrong person, GEJ will coast to victory again. Some APC fellow keep thinking "whoever" is fielded will defeat GEJ. That is the biggest challenge APC have now, their presidential candidate. The core North will not vote for a Rochas, Amaechi or Fashola no matter their perceived competence. The SW will hardly vote for a Buhari. Not to mention the MB, SS, SE and Christian North. |
hotwax: Booing does not signify hate.Really? Tell me what I don't know. What does it signify? |
hotwax: I am a Yoruba christian. I voted for Jonathan because of these religion fanatics(Buhari). That's the folly I speak of. Was it Igbos that booed Fashola from a funeral recently? Pray, tell. |
Prof Corruption: Ngige emerged third in Anambra because of tribal politics of branding APC as everything aganist Igbo. Nothing more. There's no such sentiment in SW.Actually it's the other way around. APC branded themselves as anti-Igbo and killed Ngige's chances. Mind you, Anambra people that I know does not hate Ngige and actually did not mind voting for ACN when they returned Ngige as senator, remember? |
chadnezzar0worl: I am from the Niger delta and willingly voted for G.EJ, but sadly enough he has done nothing to justify our collective vote as a nation or improve the Niger delta region. 2015 is still a long way to go, ND if our president is wise enough, he should concentrate more or delivering on d divided of democracy and salvage what ever is left of his failed administration.See this one claiming Niger Delta. Hahahahahaha. We also know that trick. I have read through your profile and so far in your only 9 posts, you have claimed to be from Rivers and Delta States. ![]() Be proud to be who you are and stop being deceptive, oh, i forgot, you are probably typing from Alausa! ![]() |
texaco1: bro i must confess that you actually base your opinion on what you read either in the dailies or on nairaland .i think you really need to talk to people on the streets and people that really matters to see the under ground and grass root politicking that pdp is doing presently in the south west , from ekiti to oyo state and even ogun to lagos to some extent . only 3 south western states may be saved from the 2015 onslaught by pdp on the south west acn states.do you know what is going on in oyo state politics right now ?are you in touch with what is happening in ekiti state ?what about kwara ? well like i always say ,lets just keep our fingers crossed , you just watch the gameMy guess Prof Corruption is not in Lagos. I am and can clearly see he does not know what he's talking about. |
Prof Corruption: History of SW politics shows, without any iota of doubt, that no party is invincible. But where is the PDP in SW? The one Kashamu is leading? Or the one to be handed over to a politically cleansed Bode George? Or the one that misruled the region and was booted out? This kind of reasoning is what made Ngige emerge third in Anambra gubernatorial election. You sit behind a laptop and speak for Nigerians everywhere. Those on ground are doing their homework while you are doing your e-work. At the end of the day, it's the groundwork that speaks. APC may win the SW states easily but when it comes to the presidential, SW will go ahead and vote against the North, again. |
hotwax: Says who. Do you know how APC is gaining ground in the south-west?Seriously? I live in Lagos and support GEJ. And I have a lot of friends and colleague who are more die hard GEJ supporters than I can ever imagine of my self. |
Abagworo: Is it me or why is it that every one in support of Jonathan always talk about dividing Nigeria or tribalism and religion rather than performance. If Jonathan starts doing the right thing from now till 2015, he'll definitely win my vote and that of Nigerians but if he continues with tribalism and dullness, then I'd rather have a good Arabian. You are right only that the people actually playing the tribal and religious card is the North. It has been that way since inception of Nigeria. GEJ has never at any time played that card. Get that straight. He has done more for the North than in his own state. You need to know also that the North is not about performance, the South West can claim to be and have a strong argument but not the North. |
callmenow: The main thing is that the western world see Jonathan as not personally corrupt. It is often difficult to decipher comments that flows from the minds of failed analysts. In politics, there are permanent interests, but not permanent friends. This analyst has failed again to give a pointed analysis of what is happening right now. The Northern elements has decided to go for broke. We already know that. However, Jonathan is on the seat!. For now, everyone has to get used to that, BH or not. Jonathan and OBJ met yesterday in Kenya, with OBJ apologising for the leakage. OBJ wants to be relevant incase the APC/North comes up trump in 2015. But so far, Jonathan is planning on using state instruments to remove his opponents. He is recruited new advisers who are going to the airwaves to burnish his credentials shortly. The plans are not static, but evolving. The G5 will soon be forced to step aside, making it unlikely that they will deliver or even influence their state. Remember that Jonathan controls NPF, the Army, etc. What we Nigerians are looking out for is the 'casus belli' of the opposition. Evidence of clear corruption by Jonathan. This is still missing despite almost 4 years of being in 'full' power. This will tilt the pendulum if they can pin personal corruption on him. Until that happens, the opposition will continue to be the opposition. Even Prof. Jega will be powerless to save them in 2015.You sound like one with deep information, but I must state here that the president's PR team has not been effective. I do not think they should engage APC propaganda team but that they should be busy advertising the various projects and their statuses. Nigeria needs to hear and know what's happening. |
Abagworo: You need to be on ground to understand what's happening. It is very likely that crisis will erupt in the Niger Delta in a few days. Remember I typed it here. The reason is that the Presidency is initiating it by arming and protecting some youths or cult groups in Rivers and Bayelsa States. Watch that Rivers assembly attempted impeachment video and you'll understand. Most of the cultists are from Okrika tribe. If there is crises, it's the handiwork of APC and Amaechi, stop blaming the president. Did you also watch the APC "rally" Amaechi staged? Did you listen to what was said by the passengers in the vehicle? I know one party that uses violence to communicate, that's APC. I am not exonerating PDP by any inch though. GEJ does not need all what you alleged in Rivers or Bayelsa. It was Amaechi's game to turn his people against Bayelsa, it was clear in his press statement after his defection. |
Abagworo: This your allegation is quite unfounded. What has he initiated that was sabotaged? My own interest is particularly Niger-Delta. Did anyone sabotage East-West road?Allegations? Let's not derail this thread. The relative peace in Niger Delta is as a result of GEJ and the amnesty handlers. The training of youths who were once with guns has been productive both for Nigeria, expatriates and the communities. I am not so conversant of projects within Niger Delta, no thanks to the poor PR team in the presidency. Concerning the East-West road, the information available to me is that it's beyond 70% success. |
Abagworo: My reason for always supporting Amaechi both when he was with Jonathan and now they are apart is because I saw the desire in him for a change from day one. Its the same desire I saw in Rochas that endeared me to him as well. Why can't Jonathan work with those that want Nigeria better? All the good PDP Governors have fallen out with him apart from Akpabio. I'm just wondering. You made some sense but please remember that they started saying GEJ has failed before 100 days in office. Don't tell me you don't know there is a deliberate attempt by a section of Nigeria to undermine GEJ's effort. And for Amaechi and Rochas, their case is totally a result of personal ambition over regional interest. |
chidexy: Actually his traducers are afraid that if allowed unfettered to continue at the pace he is going, by 2015 they won't have any case against himThey claim Nigerians hate him yet they are sabotaging and causing distractions just t ensure he does not succeed. Actually I was APC up till 2012. I stopped giving them my support when I realized it's not that they really think GEJ has failed, they ACTUALLY WANT him to fail. This is the reason for their desperation. For me, no one who loves Nigeria would want a serving president to fail just to prove a point! |
nkem Kalu: ...Is it not better then for us to sacrifice the dumb...JONATHAN and have peace than all these wastes on security without being secured. One funny thing is that he doesn't have the capability of crushing any insurgence or terrorism and as such his chapter is already closed in 2015.Is this really from an adult, like seriously? You know I don't get deceived again when APC fellows from North and S-West use Igbo names. |
Can someone tell these Northern born2rule and their counterparts down South, to leave GEJ alone to focus on the transformation agenda! They can vote him out when it's time. Leave him alone, stop sabotaging his efforts! My desire is that GEJ's team become more resolute in perfecting major projects in Power, Transportation, Aviation, Security, Agriculture, Education and Infrastructure. |
ilugunboy: It's a PDP arrangement ....if he is not comfortable with the idea...he can contest on the platform of APGA.I thought you are a renowned APC supporter? Since when did you become a PDP member? |
Dmail: F.Y.M, I can see u are delirious.I wish I could save you from your delusion. Now you sound more like it. An APC stooge. |
shizzle11: so in your wild dream you think APC now has upper hand in the NW, NE and NCentral?Seriously these guys are delusional. Why do you think Aliyu and Lamido are having a had time leaving PDP. PDP is still the main party in the North. The only thing for GEJ is to strike a deal with the North for 2019 (that's if GEJ intends to go for a 2nd). I have friends from Kaduna, Plateau, Gombe, Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi who will die for GEJ and they are all Northerners. |
eko ileee: Is it even possible to develop already developed place way before the existence of Nigeria itself? Must you people exclude common sense when making your ignorant pronouncements?I have answered an APC stooge who pointed out the same thing. That post was in reply to someone. Read that post first or better still, quote both posts. |
Dmail: Are you from Apes planet outside the universe or something which is why you seem not to know how much the large Nigeria population resents JonathanAfter the bolded in red, the other bolded is a blatant lie. Only APC deluded folks talk like that. |
superstar1: So if lagos was built with oil money, what happened to your own share of the allocation, what happened to nddc, what happened to 13% derivation, what happened to min of Niger delta, what happened to amnesty money. The post you quoted was a reply to a post. Read that post before quoting me blindly. |
superstar1: Oh mr methuselah is a retired FG worker that was harassed and cheated by northerners. Sorry for you but stop using your old age to defend criminality and corruption. You and you ilks are yet to state the criminality and corruption that you speak of. Actually APC stooges are known for defending criminality and corruption. I can make a list. |
ilugunboy: It's those of you that I've never stepped into Lagos that make that rants...I live in Lagos and work here. I probably move around Lagos than 90% of you Nairaland APC stooges, I can bet on that. The way y'all sing Fashola's praise is a proof. If you move around Lagos like I do, you would sing Fashola's praise but with reservations and open mind for refutes. |
ilugunboy: That is a sad trend that I noticed in most Ibo posters on NL...hardly can they differentiate the usage of THIS and THESE.That was a typo, I was typing from my phone. You should be smarter. I'm not Igbo FYA. |
Dmail: COUP Is not about IMPEACHMENT, Its taking over the government forcefully, could be bloodless or d opposite.Buh I foresee a bloody coup, where Jonathan head hangs on a spike along with his fellow looters!Let me get something. APC stooges in Nairaland claim GEJ has lost all support from Nigerians hence he cannot win any credible election yet you also cannot wait patiently till 2015 because you actually don't believe that. Hence your call for coup? Very funny bunch of folks living in delusion, self denial and bitterness. ![]() |
funshint: For U̶̲̥̅̊ to even say that "Oduahgate" is a farce only shows how desperate and dumb people like U̶̲̥̅̊ can be. Initially SW was indifferent about who becomes the president as long as the person is credible. But with what is going on in this present administration, it calls for urgent attention of everybody. Don't use the threat of secession to lampoon us. We really don't need 'ur dirty bloody oil money to survive. Inspite of your oil of what benefit has it been to 'ur people?! The North may be afraid of secession but we in the SW given the chance to re-arrange our economy will be better off than other regions. Lagos state survived for almost 32months without federal allocation so phuck off infact; GO AND DIE!!!Rants of a toddler! 1. Lagos was built by FG with OIL REVENUE! Let that stick to your hard skull. 2. Prove to me without benefit of doubt that Oduah stole with figures and facts. |
superstar1: Mr methuselah is back again. I don't know that in your village square, you only base your judgement on hearsay, without any prove. Give us a prove of your statement. That is why shizzle is better you. Senility is setting in at your old age.It seems you are now ready to learn but you have to convince me you are ready. I have worked and lived in the North, I have worked in government parastatal. I have friends who have done same. I know what you don't. I'm done with you, I can't keep schooling you on these ABC facts. Go ask an elder one of yours. Run along. |
funshint: We don't want him to succeed but we voted massively for him in 2011... Can't U̶̲̥̅̊ see how stupid you are!!!Hahaha, you are quite not smart. GEJ blocked most loop holes from where this guys ran this country aground. And these guys most importantly are afraid of 2017, go figure out what that date signifies. |
jamael: silently, I have read the write ups. but I fail to see sense in the message.I like OBJ and openly defend him anyday, though I'm from South South. But there is a deliberate gangup by the North, West and some lost souls like Amaechi in the South. Your questions are salient. Remeber Sanusi wrote GEJ it landed in Sahara Reporters. Tambuwal went for a lecture and spewed trash about corruption and FG. Now OBJ, all these in 1 week. And if you noticed Sanusi's letter and OBJ's were all written weeks back. |
ilugunboy: Did you typed that with a straight face?Your deep bitterness will never allow you see. Never mind, it's not for you to see, it's for Nigerians to see. As long as you don't want to, you can keep your self denial, hypocrisy and bitterness to yourself. |
hotwax: Let Yoruba and Hausa cooperate as usual to vote Jonathan out.As terrible as this may sound, you are actually representing the right picture of the current media war. It's never about delivering, it's about two regions not comfortable with where the president comes from. I recall in 2010, a meeting was held by Northern elites and Buhari, Atiku, with some other notable Northern elites said they have vowed to make Nigeria ungovernable to GEJ or any other Southerner that finds himself in the office. If it was Amaechi that was there, it would have been the same. If it was Oshiomole or Rochas, it would have been the same. Gerrit? |
