Have you forgotten that the son of the current PDP chairman is one of those being prosecuted by the EFCC for fuel subsidy fraud? You guys are so shameless and confused.

Andro Blaze: Are you purposely being slow?? Obviously what did anyone expect, the song had to change when GEJ clearly showed he preferred to be the CinC and chief defender of corruption in Nigeria! He has been the leader of the country for 4 years and see what we have:

1.Fuel subsidy was removed and only when Nigerians reacted negatively did he decide to investigate the marketers and till date he has not been proactive enough in punishing anyone of them. The masses are the only ones suffering for their crimes.

2. Niger Delta militant kingpins have become billionaires and oil theft has not only risen but is at a historical high. The masses and their environment there still remain the only ones suffering.

3. Minister after minister have had one corruption scandal after the other yet no one has been publicly removed or castigated for corruption. Yet he finds it easy to change them over silly political quarrels.

4. EFCC is at its most toothless under him, no prominent convictions at all in 4 years under him.

5. Never under democracy has a sitting president given official pardons to convicted corrupt criminals. Sadly he didn't even care that the person was widely known to be his benefactor and kinsman. Please what example does this set in such an ethnically volatile country like Nigeria?

6.Many more, but I even forgot of the first big example he set for us Nigerians to follow when he clearly declared "I don't give a damn" about constitutionally publicaly declaring his assets. Honestly at the time I thought that was poor taste but a small matter.... now I regret my foolish African sensibilities and wished we had impeached him then!!

So finally yes PDP, OBJ, APC and all sectors of Nigeria are corrupt, but GEJ is making it so acceptable and "the progressive" way of life that his "body language" is robbing this country of any possible civilised future it could possibly have.

simpleseyi: If all Nigerians and PDP members are corrupt but only GEJ is incorruptible, then corruption will be wiped out of Nigeria because once GEJ jails one or two corrupt Nigerians, all other looters will sit right and cure themselves of corruption. Once the leader is upright, the followers will all follow suit. Obasanjo was very very corrupt, that was what made all the political office holders in his administration corrupt.

GEJ is PDP and PDP is GEJ, that is why GEJ is called the party leader, just like APC is Thienubu and Buhari and Tinubu and Buhari are APC. Also, GEJ is Nigeria and Nigeria is GEJ, that is why GEJ is called the Leader of Nigeria. If GEJ is corrupt, then Nigeria is corrupt. The president cannot be using over 1.3 billion naira to eat every year and flying 11 presidential jets, then come around to tell policemen not to collect 20 naira at road blocks, or tell banks not to use our ladies for pro-stitution in the name of marketing or tell ASUU that there is no money to fulfill the agreement he signed or tell APC governors that they are corrupt.

Echua A: Nigeria is heading to greatness, we need not be afraid of change. Mediocrity will only blind us all. Even if APC does not win 2015, it will keep PDP on their feet.

Sincere 9gerian: The same OBJ who made sure, thru INEC and EFCC, that opposition parties didn't have any foothold in any part of the country is now being wooed by opposition parties. This is wonderful.

Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State came to the former president’s house in company with the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissioin, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and others in a convoy of three black jeeps.

The Chairman of the New PDP, Kawu Baraje led some of his members and the former Kaduna State Chairman, Yero Makama, to the meeting.
Presenting the party chieftains and the APC governors to Obasanjo during the opening of the meeting, Akande said the party was in support of the former president’s 18-page letter to President Goodluck Jonathan.

The APC National Leader, Tinubu who alluded to Obasanjo’s contribution to the building of the Nigerian nation, lamented that the country was divided more than ever.

Apparently referring to Obasanjo’s recent letter to Jonathan, he enjoined the former president not to shy away from speaking the truth.
Tinubu added that the APC had resolved to rescue Nigeria, appealing to Obasanjo to lead the mission.

“You’ve come out of tribulation and held the highest position in this country. We are here because of your courage. Nobody can say he has information more than you. You have surmounted a number of crises. Nigeria is divided more than before; to realise stable Nigeria, we want to encourage you to continue to speak the truth. We’re resolved and determined to rescue Nigeria. We want you as navigator,” he said.

Responding, Obasanjo, who said he remained a card-carrying member of the ruling PDP, described himself as an “incurable optimist” totally committed to Nigeria’s well-being.

He vowed that nothing would distract him from his commitment to the Nigerian nation.

Obasanjo also enjoined the opposition party to play a constructive politics “without bitterness”

The former president said, “I am a card carrying member of the PDP but the politics I play traverses Nigeria, Africa and world in that order. I am a democrat and one of the essential ingredients of democracy is opposition. A democracy that has no opposition built into it is not democracy.

“As an opposition, you are enhancing democracy. You are at home, you are welcome. I will just appeal that the politics you play is politics without rancour, without bitterness, with decency, that has Nigeria at heart. I am an incurable optimist about Nigeria, I am totally committed to Nigeria and nothing will divert me from that commitment.”

Most NLers know my position on GEJ. I continue to believe that he is a very good man with a good heart, but is surrounded by the biggest thieves Nigeria has ever encountered. He has proved to be a weaklin who is incapable of ruling the Nigerian people.

After OBJ's letter, more people became emboldened and I thought the e-threats, e-insults, and e-condemnations hauled at GEJ became excessive so I called upon NLers to observe a truce until year's end so that our weaklin of a President will not have a heart attack.

I do not want to believe that you are an intellectual midget who is unable to comprehend my write-ups and put them in the right perspectives, because if I did that, I'd be wrong. I urge you not to rush into unreasonable conclusions in an attempt to label me a political jobber. If anything, I'd make jobbers out of the unfortunate among us. Lets not personalize our discussions, lets focus on issues and politicians.,

He never knew the letter was gonna be leaked to the public. But as usual mr presidents close aides...that he thinks are is friends leaked the letter. Sinusitis is only being a reasonable man knowing fully well the implications of the leaked letter...thereby covering the whole thing up yo be treated internally. ndu_chucks: [s]Well meaning Nigerians should acknowledge GEJ's right to contest in a free and fair election, under normal conditions. GEJ has however made current conditions abnormal. Having realized that he may not win the primaries in his PDP, GEJ proceeded to use the old coot, Tukur, to change party rules, while attempting to thwart attempts by PDP governors who might oppose him in the said primaries.

GEJ did not stop there, we know how he has been fighting Amaechi and other PDP governors. GEJ's anti democratic and selfish moves have ultimately destroyed his PDP, a party which was built by many many, now angry heavy weights.

Is this man worth fighting for in the name of democracy? I say NO. GEJ has done himself in, PDP governors are abandoning him, Reps and Senators have left him and his PDP, the Nigerian people have also left him, though he does not yet realize it.

The condition which exists today in Nigeria is the same kind we saw during the period when Nigerians welcomed regime changes via coup. This time the coup may not be carried out by the millitary but by the Nigerian people. Adios GEJ.

It is instructive that the only people who continue to e-support GEJ are from the part of Nigeria where GEJ supposedly won 90 - 99% of the votes in 2011 [s]by blatant rigging.

The good news is, GEJ and his cohorts will be the last set of thieving politicians to rule Nigeria. I can sense the hand of providence in this matter, Nigeria is poised to become great in the very near future. [/s]

ndu_chucks: Granted many of us believe that GEJ should not be returned as President in 2015, but the man has been on the receiving end of vicious attacks from every imaginable angle.

I believe its time to take a deep breadth and back up before we cause this man to have a heart attack or some other ailment. I do not believe that GEJ is strong enough to take these attacks much longer. Lets allow him to focus until 2015. When a man is boxed into a corner without much oxygen, he willl fight for his live in a manner which could yield unpredictable result.

I call for truce on NL. Afterall the man is our President and we really should wish him well as a human being.
