PoliticsAfter Mandela, Who Is The Next Greatest African Alive? by Techwriter(op): 7:39am On Jun 26, 2013
I don't know your definition of greatness but for me the greatest man alive by human standard is Nelson Mandela. He is greatly respected by his friends and even enemies. I'm just wondering who seconds him in Africa. Well in my opinion OBJ or Pst. Adeboye of Nigeria should fit into that position judging by their unprecedented achievements in life. You may not like them but it has not stopped their achievement or influence

This is my opinion, tell me yours
Christianity EtcRe: Missing Child From Winners Church Found Two Years After by Techwriter:
pastor kun or whatever u call yourself I have always read your comments on men of God and I see no difference between you and the Pharisees who thought they were doing Gods work but never really knew they were fighting it. Anything Jesus did was criticized by these people including His miracles. One time they said it was Beelzebub that enabled him do it. And Jesus warned them about sinning against the Holy Spirit. Just as u have said its occultic to chase him in the dream.

Demons said Jesus I know Paul I know, I'm sure a critic like u will hate the Paul part; he should have said "Jesus I know, Holy Spirit I know" I would advice you for your own good anything youdont understand keep quiet. Bible says you should study to be quiet and to do your business ess. Don't join the camp of the accuser of the brethren. MayGod give you wisdom

hmmm! This man is like Achebe: they both share the uncanny ability to weave words and achieve meaning. Four years ago when I read Obamas best seller, "Dreams from my father" I saw him mention Achebe's books severally in his story.
Eloquence is the key. Eloquence is logic under fire!!! Guess you can now understand my signature below
Christianity EtcAlleluyah! Oprah Winfrey Professes Her Faith In Christ by Techwriter(op): 2:49am On Jun 04, 2013
On June 1, 2011, the Editor-in-Chief of BCNN1.com made the following statement after Oprah's public Farewell to her talk show:

"Evidently, Oprah Got Saved Recently, Now She Needs to Make that Clear to Her Millions of Fans

Based upon statements that Oprah made throughout last week regarding God and Jesus Christ, we believe that Oprah has recently truly accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and has been born again this year."

Well, she has made it clear to her millions of fans. Here is the profession of faith that Oprah made last night, April 23, 2012, at her lifeclass in New York City before the entire world for the glory of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is what she said:

"I am not talking about religion. I am a Christian. That is my faith. I'm not asking you to be a Christian. If you wanna be one, I can show you how. But it is not required. I have respect for all faiths..."

"...My favorite Bible verse, because I am a Christian, is Acts 17:28. It says, 'In God I live, and move, and have my being.'

Now we know that some people are going to doubt Oprah's profession of faith in Christ and some are going to say negative things about this because she has different people of different faiths on her show and so forth. But before you Pharisees say all of that, please understand that OWN is not a Christian network. It is a network for all people. OWN is Oprah's business, and we as Christians know what that is like when you're doing business in a secular world. So Oprah's business side is going to be different, but it does not take anything away from her faith in Christ.

We want to publicly thank the Lord for Christians, Stedman Graham, Tyler Perry, T.D. Jakes, and others who wisely encouraged her and coached her on how to make her public profession of faith in Christ before the world. We believe that Oprah's true "next chapter" is to finish her life leading millions to the Christ that saved her.

Thank God for private universities, u can't hear such stories there. You get value for your money. Those criticizing owners of private universities should better have a rethink. If you say education is expensive, they say try ignorance; in the same way if u say private universities are expensive, try government universities-it may cost u ur life anyway

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Contracts Israeli Company To Monitor Internet Communication by Techwriter: 4:43pm On Apr 25, 2013
Listen to yourself please. So we should contract our sovereignty & national integrity "because we should not be too proud to dash people our country?" If you don't know something, why don't you learn it rather than go & invite someone to rape you. If sex with your wife is not good because you can't satisfy your wife,so rather than learn & train yourself to please your wife, you'd now go & invite another man to come & help you "please" your wife? What a lazy way of thinking. Well you guys & the president hardly surprise me again these days.
What sovereignty? Stop deceiing yourself and comparing Nigeria with a marriage covenant where the two parties agreed to come together and unite as one. America is a good example of Marriage covenant not Nigeria that was forced to it and all the parties involved still believe they are not married. What you do in such cas is to invite an external body like inlaws, pastors and friends to help make it work. Get some wisdom and quit your seentiments

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Contracts Israeli Company To Monitor Internet Communication by Techwriter:
All of you saying you don't see anything wrong here, blah blah blah....it's done in other nations, blah blah blah. Ask yourselves, have you ever seen any of those other nations handing their security/intelligence-gathering apparatus to other nations? Eg America asking Japan to come & monitor security for America, or Israel asking Germany to come & monitor its citizens for it? This is just a complete show off of incompetence & slave mentality.
For God's sake, what kind of a president is Nigeria cursed with like this? If we had to do this,we couldn't have our own nation run it? We now have to give our whole country for free to a private company sef to "monitor." I am ashamed.
Stop comparing Nigeria and those country, we are not the same. We are not as united as they are. In Nigeria, every tribes is fighting and supporting its own people. Pharaohs greatest wisdom in office was to have employed Joseph a foreigner to run Egypt instead of its own people. To day people still go to Egypt to pay and see the pyramids built by the technological blue-print God gave to Joseph that he used to preserve grains for 7years.

Why has Boko Haram lasted:
1. Nigeria has trained some dangerous islamic fanatics and they are deploying it against the rest of the country. Boko Haram is not sponsored by illiterates, they would long have been exposed, but by intelligent fellows working against our unity. To train more is to endanger more lives. Abacha and other military juntas were trained overseas; there training has made them more dangerous to our existence

2. We have been too proud to admit we dont have the security know how to tackle terrorism and deploy it to a nation like Israel surrounded by terrorist yet no insurgency. The Northern faction of the senate have been kicking against it yet they cant stop terrorism as they keep killing the Easterners

3. Any one who cannot see our helplessness in terrorism and kidnapping is either blind or part of them. Even the US is using the Jewish MOSSADs for their own security so stop being myopic
BusinessDo You Read Bulk Sms Messages From Unknown Senders? by Techwriter(op): 8:55am On Apr 11, 2013
The advent of internet marketing in Nigeria has revolutionalized marketing in Nigeria. People are now discovering cheaper and more effective ways to reach their customers old and new. One of these cheap means is bulk sms messaging. People suddenly woke up with the fact that with less than N2, you can reach a person.

But my question is how many people read these unsolicited messages from unknown sources? Personally, I rarely do. The most annoying of them is the one Airtel sends:"WOW!!! It's New on Airtel, be the 1st to get it now. Hurry, Call 1413 now" I called the number the first time after then, I knew there was nothing in it and it became irritating.

I'm doing a survey to know how effective bulk sms messaging works as a marketing tool so want to ask Nairalanders: do you read Bulk sms from unknown sources?

BusinessRe: Online Stores In Nigeria: What Is Your Experience? by Techwriter:
kinstinct The first site I ordered stuff online from was Watchlockers, then Jumia. I had several transactions with these two. the former have not disappointed me probably because they are concentrating on one category of products,
It is not as if Jumia wanted to disappoint but dealing on so many products when they rely on others for the supply is always the problem because they have not built the capacity to handle demands. There adverts generates more demands than there capacity to supply.

Hence If you want to buy online and be sure of quick speedy delivery my advice is look for a one-product online store-from my experience I can say they are more reliable and even cheaper. The OP just mention one. www. is another good one for those interested in phones. They even have a policy of refunding your money while you still keep your demand if the phone does not get to you within 4 hours.
