Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has said he does not hate the North as widely believed.

In an interview with The Sun, Kanu said he loves former Presidents Shehu Shagari and late Umaru Yar’Adua than Nnamdi Azikwe.

He described both northern leaders as unique, stating that Shagari built the Port Hacourt expressway while he was growing up.

“People think I hate the North; that’s not true, but the only thing is that I say things the way they are, I don’t know how to tell lies to curry favours. People do not know that I love (former presidents Shagari and Yar’Adua more than I love (former president, Nnamdi Azikiwe) Zik. I’m saying this because when we were young and were growing up, the only notable person that built any notable infrastructure I saw with my two eyes was Shagari. The Enugu/Igwuocha (that the white man named Port Harcourt) Expressway, was built by the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) government of Shagari and then you can travel with joy because it was smooth and very clean.

“Now, tell me who has ever done that since after Shagari, no, tell me. Which other infrastructure will you be proud of, nobody has ever done anything again.”

He also described late Yar’adua as a gentleman who handled the agitation well.

He said Yar’adua was “a good and perfect gentleman. That was why you had the agitations cooled during the time of Yar’Adua. The man was a gentle man; he knew how to deal with people. I never met both men one on one, but these are good people. I’m not saying we don’t have other good people in the North, no, we have many of them, even in the judiciary, who are nice.

“But the few terrible, horrible ones won’t allow them to emerge, that’s the problem.”

The notorious Badoo group have struck again in Idioro area of Ogijo, Ikorodu area of Lagos state - killing a husband and his wife on their matrimonial bed. The couple were reportedly found dead on their matrimonial bed with a grinding stone was found on them. According to reports, the couple known as “Baba and Mama Seun”, both residents of Ekundayo, ESCOBA, lived in an uncompleted building .

The couple’s assailants were suspected to have gained entrance through one of the open windows though the net was neatly removed and later fixed after the operation.

According to reports, though nobody could state categorically what led to the strange death but neighbours suspected they were hacked to death by the notorious group, Badoo as a grinding stone was found on them.

Igbo quit notice: I have the support of my elders, Yerima replies Falana

The Co-Convener of the Coalition of Northern Groups and leader of Arewa Consultative Youth Forum, Shettima Yerima, has accused human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, of living in the past, following the latter’s statement implying that the former should not be taken seriously.

Falana had on Thursday at a news conference in Abuja described Yerima as a “Lagos man.”



“The man who gave quit notice (to Igbo living in the North) does not live in the North. He lives in Lagos. I am saying this: Shettima Yerima lives in Lagos. He is a Lagos man. So, to live in Lagos and be giving quit notice is not the answer,” he had said.

Reacting to the human rights lawyer’s statement on Friday night, Yerima told SUNDAY PUNCH that Falana was only seeking cheap publicity.

“The Shettima Falana knows in Lagos is not the same person in the North. I challenge him to come to Kaduna and ask about who I am. And I challenge him to go to Ekiti to contest a local government seat. I am for and with the North. I am not a coward. I am protecting the interests of my people and I get support from my elders. Falana is living in the past. I spend more time in the North than in Lagos.

“And, when did it become a crime that a northerner cannot issue a statement in the North though he stays in Lagos? I am a Nigerian. Shouldn’t Falana be castigating the man who said he hates Nigerians and doesn’t want his people to remain a part of Nigeria? I am in touch with my people. I have followers; does Falana have supporters? How many times has he contested elections in Ekiti State and lost? Despite his level of intelligence he hasn’t won an election in his state. Leading your people is not about propaganda and noise-making; it is about facing reality.”

The activist added that he had the support of northern elders in issuing a quit notice to the Igbo living in the North, noting that it is not a threat.

Urging Falana to focus more on the main issue, Yerima said, “As I speak to you now I am in Kaduna. Is there a law that says being a Nigerian I cannot do so? While he’s busy pursuing personal interests, I am defending my people against the insults and blackmail of one Igbo called Nnamdi Kanu and his co-travellers. What has Falana done about the insults IPOB heaped on the Yoruba? He is seeking cheap publicity.

“I challenge him to come and see how I am living as a king in Kaduna – I am being celebrated. I am here to defend the integrity of my people. Does he consider Nnamdi Kanu a foreigner – someone who has lived for many years abroad? I have my roots in Zaria and I go home regularly. When last did Falana visit his home in Ekiti?”

The Police have revealed they are under pressure to release kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans.

Evans was arrested two weeks ago at his mansion at Magodo Estate, Lagos.

The notorious kidnapper has been on the police wanted list for over seven years.

Acting Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Galadanshi Dasuki, while addressing newsmen on Saturday at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, said they will not release Evans, despite calls from different quarters to do so.

Igbo must leave the north it's a decoy; the real target is the impending Yoruba presidency- Now, let's explain it out.

The whole idea is to cause a civil crisis by chasing the Igbo's around in inner northern communities, this will then lure the military in, to carry out a coup, and end the Osinbajo nightmare.

The northerners have recently lost all their strategic allies (middle belt, Niger delta and Yoruba, due to their serial abuse) and Yoruba are poised to, and will constitutionally take Over from a sick and incapacitated Buhari.

They need a civil crisis to bring in the military and hold on to power, waste some time, before planning a fresh democratic process that will favour them yet again. A kind of reset button. This must be the reason behind the recent coup rumours, and in testing that water, they realized it will be unacceptable to the west, as military intervention is fading across the world. But if you throw in a law and order breakdown, it will be justified.

Remember, Nigeria military is an all northern affair presently.

If their plans succeed and there's a civil crisis via the "igbo must go crisis", they expect the international community to even plead with the military to step in and restore normalcy.

Make no mistake about it, the northerners can't threaten to scatter Nigeria, because they need the present state of things like oxygen. So, this is a clear classic decoy

There was pandamonium at a burial ceremony held in a town in Nnewi South L.G.A, Anambra State, on June 23rd after it was violently interrupted over several unresolved issues, by the deceased’s husband who was
popularly known as “Who Know Man“.

It was gathered that “Who Know Man” married two wives but had issues with the first wife, who she died 3 years ago. However because of the unresolved issue, he refused to bury his first wife and abandoned her in the mortuary.

According to CFRMagazine, the deceased(first wife) was still in the mortuary (after 3 years) when the second wife suddenly died. The man concluded plans to bury the second wife while the other was still in the mortuary. He communicated his decision to the villagers but was strongly opposed by the elders.

They informed him that according to Igbo tradition and custom, he was supposed to bury the first wife who had been in the mortuary since 3 years before dreaming of the latter, but he ignored them all and scheduled the burial ceremony(for the second wife) today, 23rd June 2017.

In what could only be seen in one of the Nollywood movies, the relatives of the first wife led by the elder brother took the man unawares by going to the mortuary, took the deceased(first wife) and stormed the burial ceremony as earlier as 8am to lay their late sister to rest during the lying in state of the second wife.

They(relatives of the first wife) immediately proceeded forcefully to the grave meant to bury the second wife but was strongly opposed by the man and his relations which resulted in a free-for-all fight. One of the coffins was thrown to the floor as you can see in the photos.

When the man saw that the relatives of his first wife would bury her in the grave he already prepared for the latter, he immediately mobilized some people to quickly bury her(second wife) but it was already late as the relatives of the former overpowered them and successfully buried their late sister.

However peace was brokered by the members of the Nigerian Police force led by DPO, SP Lucky, who immediately arrived the scene when the fight was at its peak.
