Those he dealt with say he was a wicked man. What you sow is what you reep. Its harvest time. Unfortunately, his family will enjoy out of the harvest of evil.
See as Oyegun dey look the then vice presidential aspirant like I wish say na my hand them dey raise so.
kahal29: • Shuts out ministers, presidential aides • Meets with only First Lady
From his recuperation room in London, President Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly been resisting attempts by some government officials, including ministers to undermine Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, The Nation can now reveal.
He has refused to see such officials who sneak to the United Kingdom with files for his signature, it was gathered yesterday.
Buhari, authoritative government sources said, rejected the files and asked the affected government functionaries to take all documents and issues to Acting President Osinbajo.
He has also refused to grant audience to ministers and some presidential aides who indicated interest to see him.
But the President met with First Lady Aisha during her recent trip to London, contrary to social media reports.
Sources said the President insisted that his administration runs one Presidency and since there is an Acting President in place, any attempt to create a division by anyone will not be tolerated.
It was gathered that one of the delegations that went on a futile trip to see Buhari returned to Abuja on Wednesday a few hours to the signing of the 2017 Budget by the Acting President.
It was learnt that during the failed trips, some files and documents were taken to the President ostensibly for his perusal and approval, but he refused to act on them.
In line with his belief in due process, the President directed that all files and documents be made available to the Acting President.
A top source said: “Despite the fact that he is fast recuperating, the President has tried as much as possible to stick to one presidency.
“He has refused to see some government officials who went to London to see him instead of being at their desks to work. He also returned all files and documents to those who brought them to London.
“The President gave stern instructions that all files, documents and issues needing decisions should be taken to the Acting President. He does not want a divided government. Buhari is living up to his Spartan discipline.
“He has restricted audience to two or three personal aides with him in London. This is why there are no leaks associated with his first medical trip this time around.”
The source added: “Those involved in taking files and documents to London had their ego deflated. Since their return from the various shuttles, they have been trying to curry the favour of the Acting President or cooperate with him. They did not know that intelligence report had exposed their antics.
“And the truth is that the President has been speaking with the Acting President.”
On the controversy surrounding the visit of the First Lady to London, the source said: “As a matter of fact, the First Lady, met with the President without any encumbrances.
“Any story to the contrary is false. There is enough evidence to prove that she met with her husband. No one prevented her. “Some people came out with the rumour because the President has limited contact with them this time around because of leaks during his last trip.
“Some of those who visited the President during the initial shuttle for medical care turned out to feed Nigerians with false information on his health.
“It became necessary to restrict access to two of three aides. Not everyone with the President in London is allowed to see or meet with him. Ministers and government officials have been shut out too.
“The declaration of the First Lady that the President was pleased with the conduct and performance of the Acting President was at the prompting of her husband to checkmate those who indulge in flying to London for unnecessary consultations and approvals.”
The Director of Information to the Wife of the President, Suleiman Haruna yesterday insisted that “Hajiya Aisha met and spent some time with the President. I even issued a statement on this.”
Haruna’s statement had read in part: “Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari returned from the UK, where she went to visit her husband, who is on medical leave.
“Mrs. Buhari, on arrival, conveyed the appreciation of the President to Nigerians over their constant prayers and said he will soon be with them as he is recuperating fast.
“Mrs. Buhari called on Nigerians to continue to be strong in the face of challenges and to support the Federal Government in implementing the agenda for which they were elected.”
‘Mr. President thanked the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for his loyalty and called on Nigerians to continue to support the acting President in his effort to actualize the mandate of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC),’ she said.
The policeman looking at the CP in the first picture be like abi make I fire this guy?
CastedDude: It was a rare scene at Agric Bus stop, Ikorodu, Lagos yesterday evening following a serious traffic gridlock in the area. . It took the intervention of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni to bail out several people who were trapped in the traffic snarl at Agric Bus Stop.
According to reports, traders and shoppers had taken almost half of the road, leaving only a small portion for the road users. This caused a long hold-up putting almost everybody at a standstill.
While the CP was coming from Ikorodu, he got down and had to trek to the Bus Stop to observe what exactly was the cause.
While the helpless LASTMA, traffic warden and cane wielding NURTW officials were standing, the CP and his team moved the traders away from the road and restored traffic flow before heading to Ikeja.
His leaving was not without stern warning to the traders never to display their wares on the road again.
Buhari's sickness may have been allowed to save Nigeria. If he had been around, his interest in this quit notice being issued to the igbos may be similar to the nonchalant approach to the issue of fulani herdsmen. They say Jonathan is clueless but I am beginning to feel PMB is more clueless. Those nigerians who want to be honest with themselves will agree that Osinbajo appears to be a better leader than PMB. I observe that PMB has passed his prime. As president, rather than using people to get things done is now being used by his subordinates on account of his age.
Omooba77: Tangentially, I take the title of this article to be humdrum. Why? Goodluck Jonathan was prognosticated to be the last president of composite Nigeria, but the doom prognosis is now legend.
Without obviating the trepidation and tension that eclipsed the country before and during the 2015 general election, Nigeria survived Jonathan; I believe it will survive President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, the whirling of events in the past few weeks gives me colly-wobbles. The unity of Nigeria is not only held by a tenuous thread at this time, the country is also teetering on the brink of a violent hate war.
Since 2014, the agitation for an independent state of Biafra has revved. But no doubt, the agitation grew in decibel few months after Buhari ensconced himself in government. Why? I believe it is because of the sectionalism and nepotism that has become accenting features of this administration, and of course, the neglect of the south-east which the president does not take a liking to.
Inasmuch as the secessionist agitation is a live threat to the unity of Nigeria, the Kaduna declaration dispatched by a coalition of northern youth groups led by Arewa – that the Igbo must leave the north before October 1 and that their property will be expropriated – is a deadly uppercut to the bloody jaw of the nation’s unity.
Although, a good number of northern leaders condemned the declaration, some other persons, “elders”, from the region endorsed it. The fact is, with the proclamation a deeper wound has been inflicted on the nation’s body. And it is an open-sesame for hate mongers and sizzled bigots to tear what is left of the country’s “bond” to pieces.
It was not surprising that some militant groups in the Niger Delta delivered a riposte, in kind, to northerners in their region – that they should leave the area before October 1. A day to celebrate Nigeria’s independence is now a potential doomsday. And of course, secessionist agitators cashed in on the divisive lineaments of the declaration to call for an exodus of their people in the north. This is, principally, a chaotic time in the history of the country since the civil war.
As a matter of fact, I have never feared for Nigeria’s future until now. Yes. The compost of hate, caterwauling, bitterness and recriminations on social media induces severe fear and anxiety. But in the deep of this fear, I believe that the country will not teeter off the precipice. Why? What binds Nigeria is maximally strong but ludicrous.
Nigeria is not held together by God, values, sacred principles or beliefs, but by corruption, indiscipline, greed, nepotism, incompetence, lust for power and vested interest. These are the strong forces cementing and patching up every leak in the roof of the Nigerian dome.
Again, as the 2019 general election closes in, there are more ominous threats to the country’s survival. While Arewa bleats power must remain in the north in 2019 even if Buhari is incapacitated, Ohanaeze youth threaten secession of the south-east if an Igbo does not emerge as Nigeria’s president in that portentous year.
Still, I believe we will survive 2019.
The 1985 song, ‘Nigeria Go Survive’ by Veno Marioghae conveys my thoughts. Nigeria will survive even when everyone knows that it is not working. It will. Yes, again, because it is where “I chop, you chop”.
In conclusion, the Buhari government must work at forging a united country. Nigeria has never been this divided. It has been said countless times that Buhari is sectional. This is a fact, and I know he knows it. The excuse that Jonathan too was sectional in his appointments and in the distribution of resources is what it is, an excuse.
Buhari must do better. Soon the sun will set on his government, how does he want to be remembered, as a sectional leader? As former President Olusegun Obasanjo once said, the problem with Nigeria is that it lacks a national leader. Buhari can make himself one before the end of his administration. His legacy should matter to him now. He is 74!
MEANWHILE…
Saraki’s CCT discharge
Conspiracy theorists are now conjuring up funny stories of why Senate President Bukola Saraki was cleared of 18-count charge of false asset declaration by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Wednesday. As a “religious reporter” of the trial, I say with accustomed dispassion that the federal government bungled the case from its parturition. The witnesses called by the government were at best vacuous and impotent. They gave layers and layers of contradictory statements. In fact, one Samuel Madojemu, the chief investigator of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), the agency which filed the charges against Saraki on behalf of the government, publicly said his organisation did not carry out an independent investigation of the allegations against the senate president before filing the charges. Imagine?
Osinbajo’s north-south consultations
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has shown much of the rare leadership stuff he is made of. His deft intervention in the hate exchange between the south-east and the north saved a combustible situation. If it were to be some other presidents or even his “boss”, a listless committee would have been set up to look into the issue. But Osinbajo personally intervened in the matter, dousing the sputter of tension. That is leadership!
ChangeIsCostant: Is jungle justice the way forward? This is the question being asked by social media users following a trending video footage showing how a woman was publicly humiliated after she was allegedly caught stealing a handbag. She was stripped unclad and beaten well by angry residents who disgraced her after she was caught stealing.
This Pastor Adeboye prayer dey work o. Them just they catch kidnappers now o. The fervent prayers of a righteous man truly availet much.
dainformant: Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of eight in Makurdi and Katsina-Ala including a gang of four allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, also known as Gana , who a week ago abducted a Katsina/Ala-based businessman.
The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive.
The arrest is coming few days after Governor Samuel Ortom assented to the anti-kidnapping bill, which prescribed death penalty for offenders.
Parading the suspects yesterday at the Command Headquarters in Makurdi, the state’s Police Commissioner, Mr. Bashir Makama, said the businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.
Makama said: “We tracked them from intercepts; that case gave us sleepless nights, but we got them in their hideout after a gun battle at Abaji in Katsina/Ala and the notorious criminal, Bem Uga, alias Jugas Jnr , and one Oraondo, alias Bishop , were also nabbed without any ransom paid for the releases of the victim, who was rescued alive.
“During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang.
“They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Among them is the driver of Gana’s wife, Queen. They are all giving us useful information.
“Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom.”
NewsCanTell: Father Emmanuel Chibuzor Obimma popularly known as Ebube Muonso has lauded the Igbo people of Nigeria for their industrious and resourceful nature.
The cleric who was speaking on a crusade ground in one of the states in the South East noted that despite the economic hardship the Igbos were subjugated to immediately after the war, they soared through and today became more greater than they were.
Ebube Muonso berated President Muhammadu Buhari whom he described as an empty brain and his kinsmen saying that one Igbo man is equivalent to five hundred Hausa men.
The cleric said this when he told his congregants that the greatest mistake Buhari made was to arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu whom according to him intentionally set a trap for the President.
The feud between Chibuike Amaechi and Senator Magnus Abe over who controls the mainstream machinery of Rivers state chapter of the All Progress Congress, APC, deepened Friday as the Minister of Transportation , Mr Amaechi announced removal of his former Chief of Staff, Chief Tony Okocha and three others as leaders of the party’s caucus in their various local government areas.
Senator Magnus Abe and Chibuike Amaechi Others affected by the shake up announced by Amaechi yesterday at different meeting with stakeholders of the party in the state was his former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Worgu Boms, who lost his seat as leader of the party’s caucus in his local government , Hon Chidi Wihioka, member representing Ikwerre/Emohua federal constituency who was replaced as leader of the party’s caucus also his local government area. Hon Alwell Nyesoh was also removed as leader of the party’s caucus in Etche local government area.
Amaechi as leader of the party in the state allegedly took the action because those removed were accused of working to install Senator Magnus Abe as governorship candidate of the party for the 2019 general elections.
Vsnguard gathered that at the meetings Amaechi vowed to ensure that Senator Abe did not get the party’s gubernatorial ticket for the 2019 general poll, insisting that as leader of the party he would determine who flies the party’s flag in the state. Amaechi who is the immediate past governor of the state said he appointed Abe secretary of his government in his first term , adding that he also supported him to be Senator in his second term. Amaechi reportedly told the gathering of party stakeholders that he felt betrayed by Senator Abe, vowing to ensure he never got the party’s gubernatorial ticket.
Meantime, one of those removed as Leader of the party’s caucus in his Obio Akpor government, Chief Tony Okocha affirmed his commitment to the gubernatorial bid of Senator Abe for 2019, insisting that he was convinced in the qualities of Abe to provide good governance in the state if he wins, He said it was unfortunate that he was removed as leader of his party’s caucus at a meeting he was not in attendance, stressing that the action showed the alleged desperation of one man to muscle up the party. ” They just removed me now for supporting Senator Magnus Abe, the removal is to confirm that APC belongs to one man. Nothing to worry about because he also appointed me. The one who appoints has powers to remove. Later in the day he would remove Senator Wilson Ake. He has removed his former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Worgu.
I support Abe because I believe he has the qualities, the folowing. He has what it takes to win elections, I was not given opportunity to defend myself. I am in Abuja when they removed me. “, he said.
I dont understand igbo. They are shortlisting candidates for a country they want splitted. Could that be a plan b. I honestly think the next south president should be an igbo man but with this agitation, those who believe in one nigeria may not want to support that dream.
Those in government now are not the best hands. They are party sponsors compensated. The bigger the cash the more juicy the ministry. Thats why we are where we find ourselves. A man cannot sleep with his wife, instead of owning up to his deficiency, he is looking for who to blame. Nonsense. And some people will come and defend rubish as if they are dealing with touts.
calberian: Before assuming power, the current administration identified corruption as something to be attended to with alacrity. With this in the background, promises on jobs, economic growth and stuff were made.
Saraki was cleared of charges. Corrupt judges have all been returned to their respective courts. Fuel price that Nigerians fought for, that surprisingly, the APC lent voice to, has been doubled. I lost a fortune to their school boy economic policies. Guinness Nigeria recorded their second loss (the first being, not surprisingly, in 1984. Don't ask me who was the president then). Now, at every turn, good old corruption is being blamed for these colossal failures. And more.
Things that we used to take for granted are now taking us for granted. Even South African footballers are now playing us like Brazilians in our own backyard.
We don't need a government that will create 3 million jobs. No one asked for that. We don't even want a government that will set out to create one job. That's a classic case of misplaced priority. Putting the doggone cart before the horse.
We need, in my humble opinion, a government that understands and delivers the basics of life in the best way possible.
We need to identify the individuals that will form this government now. The current crop are mostly selfish and ignorant.
If you cannot create 3 million, how many did you now create? If you promise 3 million and created 500 thousand because of whatever reasons, we would understand but instead of creating jobs as promised, it is the opposite we are seeing, people are being sacked! I dex vex o. These people came to power by corruption and deceit.
Excuses everywhere. I thought the liar said Buhari had fulfiled all his campaign promises? Some even said no one made such promise. Its all a scam. There is no greater corruption than making campaign promises you know you cannot fulfil just to deceive the voters. Yeye dey smell.
Angelanest: This is very unfortunate. The cult war between Vikings confraternity and KKK cult group in Cross River state has taken another toll following the gruesome killing of another man. According to report, this young guy was killed this morning along Ebito by Maya venue in Calabar South, Cross River state.
segun400: This incident occured around Gwagwalada, Abuja. According to the eyewitness, the offense of the driver was that he tried to overtake the men riding in a jeep. He was labeled a criminal, prompting some policemen descended on him.
Police with oppression. How will the man know who he is overtaking? How I wish the man na army captain, even sergeant self, after they doublecross am to stop them go quick apologise. Na civillian body them dey get power.
when the man ask for his entitlement, una go say una tire or una dey go early morng conference and so una wan quick sleep or quick wake up, the arrange himself, wahala. Wetin man go do?
I like this. Somebody needs to stand up against this people. We can not all be lame ducks. Our collective sensibilities are being trampled upon. I like the upper cut given to Lai Mohammed. I believe PMB is alive but he is bedridden due to old age. The cover up in the name of it is our turn is sickening. The cabal knows that once it is over for PMB, their job is over and so will fight dirty for the status quo to be maintained.
This was shared with us by a Newshelmng.com blog reader , he thinks the governor of the state is actually doing enough for them.
Dont mind them. They seem to prefer media trial to the real trial. By the time you release all your jokas at the media trial, the defence picks the necessory hole and strike and they come and accuse the judge of compromise. They are so much in a hurry to arraign the accused to show the world they are fighting corruption that they fail to cross the ts and dot the is. They seem to be more interested in the arraignment than the conviction. In a trial, you cannot be the prosecutor and the judge at the same time. The judge will handle the case not based on what actually transpired, because he was not there, but based on the evidence before him or her.
aolawale025: I still don't understand why some people are bitter about saraki's triumph. If he was already guilty, then why the trial? The CCT said the evidence presented had no probate value. Must the man be found guilty all the same. All over the world it's only the efcc in nigeria that publicizes it's investigations. In other places, they do a thorough job silently. That when they prosecute, they win.
This government failed even before the whistle was blown. And the cause was from the very top. When you pack an administration full of mediocre appointees due to nepotism. Success would depart from you.
But with how he is confessing...he is simply a Jewman who can't handle torture.
They are humans too. Most times we think they are super humans because of their heroics which are mostly influenced by hard drugs. When caught they look ordinary without those drugs.
Immagine a convicted kidnapper allowed to pick call in prison. He is even coordinating the affairs of his gang while in prison. I weep for this country. The police should take this information seriously and do a follow-up.
Vision4God: My thought, he is inconsiderate. What happened to discussion? Can't he jokingly talk to her about it or express it in a way that both parties will understand?
Ds is so bad
I guese the guy must have tried discussion. It was when this failed he remembered that since the time of John the Babtist, the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force.
See mouth like kponmo. See your life! You wan break your marriage because of conference and at the end of the day you no fit attend am. You no wan do and if the man go doam outside, una no go let peace reign. I tire for some women o.

She just refused early morning sex because she has to attend a conference early this morning. No argument. Nothing! He woke up and found her dressed. Before you knew It, punches began to rain on the woman. Now, she can't attend the conference. The man still took it by force after leaving some lumps on her face.
