sonet: u can apply for another passport but u have to go Abuja and make sure u explain the reason For re-issue. It happens to me wen i applied for manitoba provincial nominee program i had a yr and three month on my passport yet i re-issue another one. But it can only be done @ heade office abuja.

Huzzie: About the Affidavit of support, its part of the checklist oooo...Moreover it won't cost you much,I did mine in Ikeja for 1k and you don't have to take your sponsor there.All you need is his passport photo and yours,they have the format with them,and when you get it you can take it to your sponsor to sign it.
Its better to be Save than Sorry,IMO,get it.Don't give CDHC an excuse for denial.Cheers.

d2ddayo: so far so good, i thnk i shud say nairaland is far better than twitter maybe bcus its a forum where u get to discuss better things though other than gossips n all. am a first timer here and am feeling the vibe poured out by everyone here. so now straight to my own issue. i applied to MUN got my admission and i ve differed it twice due to som ishs, now i intend to forward my application to the emb. my sponsors cant be my parents cus they dont stay in naija. they re all in ireland where i travel to every year by GOD's grace. i ve other countries added to my passport like france, germany, dubai, italy and ireland. i hope this stands as an added advantage to my application cus i ve never overstayed. now i cant use them bcus i dont think anyone in europe really has a strong bank statement like of of people in naija.... so i intend to use a very close family friend of my dad. whats ur advice house on this? and also, for anyone who applied to MUN, please can i get a buzz from such person please cus i will want to know if truly it is that i only ve to make a deposit before i forward my application to the embassy. thanks in anticipation for ur response.

I agree with you on that. Best thing is for applicants to drop the name of their schools here so we can all help look into them.

Our friends in the Canada Visa section do that alot. Most of them even go as far as pasting word-for-word the email they received from the schools and Professors. It is only on USA visa thread that I see people hiding the names of their schools.

Pls I need people's advice on this, I applied to WIU and they gave me conditional admission due to my low score in toefl (501 PBT), so they ask me to pay $4,500 as part of the first semester school fees or I should rewrite toefl, but at the same time I have registered for GRE though the school did not require GRE but for embassy stuff, so I'm planning of changing school. Pls house I need school that offer engineering course that will not require TOEFL for Nigeria citizen. Thank you.
