Religion / Re: How Did You Feel After You Finally Defeated That Stubborn Addiction? by Tegaguru(m): 2:49pm On Mar 27, 2022
True words chief. Everything starts with the mind

DigitalStepdad:
Addiction is easy to beat if you just make up your mind ... I used to smoke benson for years but one day I decided to quit ... when I found out you can change a behavior in 21days .. I applied it and voila!!! I endured the nagging and complains my body was giving me ... but then I found IGBO (arizona) ... smoked that shit for years until one day I decided to fight it ... only becasue it was writing my existence into dark places and I didnt want to be that guy... that is always slacking and lost in thier own world of bliss and satisfaction when the world around you is moving at breakneck speed...yeah that guy.

So I quit ... my life has improved without it so I know I am on an upward trajectory.

Just know everything is in the mind

That love triangle is just a mischievous term used by those who don't know what they want yet

See, me as a guy, that's one of the reasons I don't get involved in any of my friends Relationship. Friends girlfriends sometimes get attracted to me ( charisma), not all the time love but likeness..

I don't tolerate such at all, cos whether you like it or not, there would be consequency.

As for the lady, for her to be entangled with 2 friends, If she met a new guy who posseses much about her love map list, she would drop the 2 friends.

Such kind of ladies are yet to understand what love is, who to love, when to love.

Since when did Wizkid's car become a recording studio?
Even Bryan Adams, Adam Levine and Elton John will not subject a co-artist to such self-degradation.

Our so called veterans are the ones fueling Wizkid's arrogance and it's so shameful to see a sick veteran stand by the side of Wizkid's car and get excited that the latter was vibing to his song.

Will he have Beyonce stand by his car to sample her verse on Brown Skin Girl?

Sound Sultan was meek and super talented though he did not practice what he preached.
He said that 'no matter where we go make we no forget 'area'' yet he was buried in New Jersey.

I still don't know if it's okay to call that hypocrisy but I just know it's so uncool that he had to stoop this low for Wizkid because there's a clear distinction between humility and self-disrespect.

My prayer is that God should not make us have to lick the yansh of people we know the day they were born for survival.
Business / Re: 14 Lucrative Business Ideas In Nigeria by Tegaguru(m): 7:04am On Jun 01, 2021
Consultville:
Let us use this opportunity to discuss lucrative business ideas in Nigeria.

REAL ESTATE/HOUSING SECTOR

There is a saying that, “Landlords grow rich in their sleep”. Funny but true, Real Estate is a green area for business and investment.
Acquiring a large expanse of land, portioning it into service plots for sale in which payments are in installments is a sub-sector that has made many Nigerian Millionaires.

Building residential apartments, hotel and recreation part also falls under the auspices of Real Estate.

One can also be a Freelance Agent adopting different marketing strategies to sell or let people’s properties or Private Company Independent Agent.

One can also setup an online store for selling building materials, items for example cement is a very essential commodity and needed in large quantities.

CRECHE AND NURSERY

Children are born every day and there is a need to acquire formal education.
Crèche and School business generally is a diamond-mine a major problem is that there are many substandard schools in Nigeria so if you can take qualitative education seriously and make it your watchword, the sky is just the starting point, eventually your school will be a cynosure.

TRAVELS AND TOURS

Movement from one place to another is very common to man, so much more man loves leisure and fun. Combining Travel Agency with Tourism is a very good combination and a lucrative one.

The world is a global village and Nigerians are fast embracing digital technology, most tickets are bought online, strategically positioning yourself as a reliable agent with cheap tickets will pave way for you in the industry.
Websites like travelstart.com offer startups the opportunity to start their own online travel agency and your site backend will be integrated to their own (travelstart.com).

Strategically collaborating with tourist places both locally and international is a good way to start the Tour arm of this sector. Organizing events like “Weekend Escape” for couples is also a brilliant idea.

POULTRY AND LIVESTOCK FEEDS

Poultry business is a thriving business in Nigeria, the rate of consumption is quit high. There is also Government legislation that bans the importation of frozen livestock, thereby pushing the pressure on the local farmers. Its demand doubles or even more during festive period especially Christmas.

TRANSPORTATION BUSINESS

The need to move from one place to another is the background of this business, although the sector has been marred with street urchins. A well-planned system such as, inter-state bus travels and taxi system like yellow cabs and red cabs that we see around in Lagos can be adopted and explored. Uber Nigeria is a very good investment area in the transportation industry.
Haulage trucks renting for some Companies like DHL, Dangote etc. is also a very safe way of investing in this sector.

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

ICT is one of the fastest growing sectors in Nigeria, ranging from e-commerce to blogging and other internet-allied services.
Another green area is the Computer Literacy part, a large chunk of Nigerians are still computer illiterate. A training center will surely flourish in this field.

Offering computerization of some operations in workplace is an innovative way to start, the corporate world is evolving lot of Companies still
embrace analog system of operation, you can get a good programmer to design a solution application and then you can commercialize it.

PROFESSIONAL CLEANING AND WASTE DISPOSAL

Cleaning services is needed almost everywhere some entrepreneurs have even explored residential cleaning. This business has lots of green areas including fumigation services, post-construction cleaning services, dry-cleaning services and lots
This is a very profitable business, you just need to get an organizational structure in place, and hire the right hands.

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING COMPANY

Marketing and Advertising for Companies is a very lucrative business, sales are very crucial to every business, if you believe you can help plan marketing strategies and implement them, and this business area is just for you. Your earnings might be based on commission for products sold; digital marketing will give you the edge.

LOGISTICS COMPANY

The logistics business is a very lucrative and broad business in Nigeria, its opportunities spans areas like documents/parcel handling, intra-state errands, clearing and forwarding.
The documents/parcel business, partnership with well-established firm is very good option or even becoming franchisee of big logistics firms like DHL is a very nice idea.

Lots of Companies outsource their parcel delivery; you just need to position your Company very well.
Clearing and Forwarding, this is a good mine although the sector is marred with lots of corrupt practices, if one shows serious interest and builds a very good online presence then the sky is just the starting point for the person.

CREDIT AND LOAN SERVICES

Turn right, turn left you will find lots of these Companies. It’s a lazy way of making lots of money, just from the comfort of your house you can operate this business and make lots of money. It involves a high level of risk-taking though but with adequate background check on the person you are lending money then you are a bit secured.

FOREIGN ADMISSION PLACEMENT SERVICES:

The need to acquire formal education is the background of this business, less than 50% of those that apply to Universities to study in Nigeria actually gain admission. Over the past decade the attention has been greatly increased towards studying abroad. As an agent, you’re to partner with these Schools abroad, get paid commission on referral, so the trick is the more University options you have the greater your chances.
Along the line you can add services like TOEFL, SAT, GRE tutorials.

GAS STATIONS/PLANT

The paradigm shift from using kerosene to gas is getting interesting every day, lots of homes now have gas cookers in lieu of Kerosene stoves, apart from the fact that is cheap it is also clean. Gas plants are becoming essential in neighborhoods; partnership with Petrol Station is one of the best routes as the safety concern is covered.
Plenty Nigerians are making millions in this sector.

DIESEL AND PETROLEUM HAULAGE BUSINESS

Though this sector is marred with lots of corrupt practices including dilution of petroleum products, in accurate precision and all but it is a very open sector and very lucrative especially if one can have a peddler (mini-truck) or a big truck for the haulage. Diesel can easily be gotten from the depot in Apapa. You only need little publicity and more importantly, try building your integrity in the business it pays a lot.

CARS AND SPARE PARTS

Selling of cars is a very lucrative business in Nigeria, there are some strategic advertising tools one can employing in this business that you will be smiling to the bank and makes selling seamless.
Spare parts business is also a very good business, parts are imported from Belgium, UK etc. Tire is also a sub-sector you can also explore as a majority of vehicles has tire problem. Launching a Tire Check Campaign and some digital advert to spice it is a goldmine.

source: http://regville.com/uncategorized/14-lucrative-business-ideas-in-nigeria/

All these are nice and pretty, but capital is needed at the end. It could also be time consuming. That’s why I’ve decided to stick with online businesses.

Right now, I’d advice y’all to take advantage of forsage. A crypto referral based marketing scheme. The platform just launched in the very early hours of this morning - and as we all know, it’s the early birds that really milk mad money off this platform. I’ll not hesitate if I were you!

Modern Christian couples enjoy sex and are more likely to be satisfied than worldly couples. There is something about spirituality and sexiness. Couples who find time to pray together find time to make passionate love together.

There is often a burden of sexual performance for secularists but a godly union has none of it. Their sexual workouts are less stressful and highly rewarding to both partners.

A recent study in the US discovered that Christain wives had more sexual fulfillment than liberals. To find true fulfillment in sex, one has to draw close to the person who created sex himself.

I started out with php and java.
It's was nice then showing off your latest android app(with help from stack overflow) and feeling like the next zuckerberg by building an fb clone.
Every guy in my lodge(at uni) knew laravel, but you'd search the whole campus to find someone who could implement a crude version of PageRank.
Of course you know it takes a great deal of theoretical cs to architect high performing software, and thats where the money is.
For me, getting into web dev without knowing the underlying theory would be a waste of your time......at least it was for me.

True, you must be talking about data structures and algorithms of those sorts right?? Well yes, you definitely need to know a bit of math, but that can always be learnt. Moreover, things like that are only factored in when you're trying to optimize for a large scale of users. Very few companies need all those.

The most important thing is that OP learns the technologies, then while he progresses and sees the need to work for a large scale company(like google), he could pick up data structures, algorithms and all these deep CS related concepts to have an edge.

I ve taken the most unconventional approach to learning programming.
Being unserious in secondary school, it affected my progress in 2018.
You need to settle any problem you have with math if you dont want any issues. Google pdfdrive.com and download in this order developmental math for college students, college algebra and trigonometry, linear algebra, classical geometry, calculus, advanced calculus, vector calculus, ordinary and partial differential equations. If you want to avoid begging to build websites on nairaland, avoid web development, android or any shiny applications until you're theoretically grounded.

what is this?? So are you telling me that to build a CRUD functional web app you need to know linear algebra??
It's not about math, it's about thinking logically, and well that comes over time.

Whoever the OP is, yes there are some areas you might consider delving into that will require Math of some sort, but that could always be learnt. The most important thing is that you learn to think logically and analytically.

Both of you can continue to justify the thoughtless, insensitive comments of the mindless bride who did not even think of her friend's image or feelings, to utter words that would expose such a friend to public ridicule.

If those are the kind of friends you like, I feel sorry for you.

Anyone who claims to be your friend, but can diss you openly in such a manner, is not to be trusted with secrets or anything else.

I wish you luck, with your so-called defence of the thoughtless bride.

A true friend will always have your back. Not look for ways to embarrass you openly.

Come here, did you watch the video at all??

Few months ago, i created a thread on front page on how i have lost interest in school and education because of my poor academic performance

https://www.nairaland.com/5253585/help....i-lost-interest-school-pls

Today i just found out that i failed two of my final year papers, thus giving me an extra year, i didn't know at first but as my mom kept pestering me to apply for law school, i had to check the list my school forwarded to Abuja, Garki, for those eligible to apply for law school, and discovered my name was not included.

I was discombobulated because i already made good the due process involved in the application prior to this day, i was advised by colleagues to check my result and lo and behold i failed 2 courses in my second semester yr 5.

I have failed my parents, especially my mom who invested a lot in my schooling, i might not be able to go back to the school for the extra year, i don't even know how to tell my parents, or what to do next, if i had known i would never have attended the uni, rather would have learnt a skill or focused on freelancing but i guess its all too late now.

Now here's the thing bruh, since you carried your final courses and you're just knowing, I'll assume they are second semester courses.
Now, you definitely still have to go back to finish things off bruh, but for the first semester and all that you'd be left with doing nothing, go and LEARN a SKILL.
Whatever skill you have in mind, there's someone out there to teach, either paid or free. Whichever way, Learn a Skill.

I feel your pain sincerely bruh, but no solution will, and has ever come from regrets. All you need to do now, is reflect on those mistakes, own them(wear them as a badge and as a driving force), and move forward striving to be better than you are now.

Dear Webmaster please I want you to advise me on how to solve this issue withour website host.

About 7 years ago my church decided to own a website and I was asked to take up though I don't know anything about web development and hosting and the likes. Though I learned it.

Then one of my Boss brothers helped us to get the website done and running online and my boss later renbused him and that is how we have been doing it up to date.

The website subscription was due for renewal this last September but due to logistics we were unable to get it done before it was suspended. I contacted the guy and he said that it was because we have not paid.
However, later discovered that he was just a reseller, he doesn't have a hosting company. He has been give us outrageous bills and Boss has been complaining too.

Then I did research and discovered another hosting company that was cheaper and direct. When I informed my Boss he said we should move on and did signed up for 3 years with the new hosting company.
So when we tried launch our website with the new company it was not going and so have to contact them. It was then they told us that the website was being hosted by.... hosting company and that it's been suspended.
They advised me to contact the former hosting company to point the domain to the new hosting company.
I then contacted this guys and asking him to release the domain name to us but was infuriated claiming he is not going to release it unless we pay him for this year. He claimed that he had renewed it on our behalf. I told him that no one will believe him. How come paid for it and it was still suspended? Did he renew it and went ahead to ask the hosting company to suspend it?
HOW can we pay for something we didn't use?

Please advise me on how to go about this issue. Should I change the domain name and abandon the domain for him?
I don't want us both to go our different ways in disagreement.
What's the best way out?

Thanks

Okay let us start with this - What's your hosting provider and where did you get your domain from??

Different hosting providers handle stuffs like this differently. I'm sure there's a documentation for something like this.
