Nairaland General › Nairalanders Please Help Solve This Problem by tellwisdom(op): 12:37am On Oct 15, 2014 |
This question was thrown to me by a female friend, and i wouldn't mind clear thinkers on this forum, educating me on this. Here is the question: Which statement is correct here please? A bright future behind her, or a bright future ahead of her? I chose; "Bright future ahead" which she kicked under the table, telling me since no one can predict the future, the word is incorrect in usage.
Now, the reason why i chose that one in particular was;
1. Since life is unpredictable. It is of 50/50 bet/chances. It's either you achieve your cooked plans or you don't.
2. The word "bright future ahead" seem to me like a PLAN, going in the affirmative, but not yet manifested. So its 50/50 chances. It MIGHT manifest.
Let me stop here for senior men to help me out
Mod please help me section it to the right place. Thanks |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: "How Much Do We Pay You?" Interview Question by tellwisdom: 5:54pm On Oct 11, 2014 |
genchukky: most legitimate companies have policies,so an interviewer cannot just come and share your salary into three because as soon as you start working in the company you will know these policies,and the interviewer might lose his job and even go to jail Bro, from your previous illustration, you are indirectly asking the interviewer to answer his question meant for a purported applicant, which to me, doesn't speak well. At least, say something and then allow him tell to you how much he thinks it ought to be from the company's salary plan. Shikina.
Abeg no use question dey answer question o. E dey annoy some people gan ni |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: "How Much Do We Pay You?" Interview Question by tellwisdom: 5:27pm On Oct 11, 2014 |
genchukky: The simple answer is,there is a particular salary structure for every department in a company,so when you are asked the question,tell your interviewer that the post you are seeking for has a payment structure the company offers and you will be ok accepting that plan............but make sure u have an idea of the salary structure before going for the interview.. And if he divides your pay in three places since he knows the company's salary plan more than you? ? |
