Myer: This statement alone shows why God vindicated Aiyedatiwa. How can you say he was nothing before Rotimi Akeredolu picked him as his running mate?
Some of you seem so disconnected from spiritual realities that one doesn't even know where to begin from.
God rejected Rotimi and honored Aiyedatiwa. Know this and know peace. You should be more curious why God would reject Akeredolu. Thank you jare. We have bunch of sensationalism here. I know how much I suffered under Aketi and started praying for God to bring in relief and remove unrepentant bad leaders. I never wished him death, but my desire was for 2024 to come fast so that he could leave the scene. I know how people suffered because of his insensitivity to salary issues from health to education sectors. Many died! Who heard of them? I know of RUGIPO staff who died just because they couldn't afford money to go to the hospital because of 15 month salary owed by Aketi. People seem to mourn with politicians and pour their empathy out of hypocrisy. Who mourned with the families of the ones he killed? |

Ikaeniyan0: You're always attacking this man. You need to move on, he's now the governor of Ondo state. Thank you o. I know the many insensitive things Aketi did to us. I know how many staffs in RUGIPO died because of his insensitivity to paying their almost 17months salary. Many old men died during that time. I know how many months he was owing us until the first time he made Aiyedatiwa acting and Aiyedatiwa started clearing the backlog. I know what he said when he increased AAUA School Fees and youths protested in Akure. Parents went to Alagbaka to beg him. He refused. He said the fees can't buy him a pair of shoes. I know how Akure mother and child died after he took power from Mimiko. I know how he stopped free shuttle buses that was making life easy for us by Mimiko when he took power. Let me stop here. There are many more to say. The dead suddenly become innocent and their past forgotten and forgiven in Africa. RIP to him. But, let's have a breather please |

The scholarship, is it already when am a lecturer or just an ordinary gradute who is not employed?
Resign from what?
Coming back from where? Smiles. It's easier getting scholarship to study abroad if you're an academic. Please, browse online and get more knowledge. |

dfrost: Pele bros. I know the terrain. Coming from a family of professors, lecturers et al, I vowed never to plunge myself into that mess.
I lost an uncle 4 month back to the rigors of the profession. Retired as a Dean but still went back to the game (another school though) because 'ends need to meet' and that was were he died. It's really crazy to say the least . Sorry about your loss my brother. Lecturing is a time bomb in Nigeria. Even the load alone not to talk of family can wear one out and shot one out before his time. Right now, I'm doing the work of over four lecturers because the university is managing funds instead of employing more hands. We are being overused, complain, they blacklist you and frustrate the nonsense out of your life. |

dfrost: I like your submission. Meaning your dispostion would have been different if not your current position.
Sometimes we need to see things through the eyes of the person passing through the experience. You're right. That's just the honest truth. Experiencing things sometimes wipes off ignorant babblings and shallow reasoning. There are many things one can't say here. Imagine I am an academic, yet going to farm to make ends meet. It's distracting my research mind and dividing my passion. Just because what the full time job puts on my table is ridiculous and unsustainable for my family in relation to the biting economy and decreasing purchasing power. And the farming alone is affecting my productivity at work and even my health. I know a lot of my colleagues who have now parked their cars and trekking around town and the university community. It's shameful for this esteemed profession. Academics are suffering in Nigeria! My mind is not even here again because it's not worth the sacrifice I'm making. So, when I see comments that come from naive minds sometimes, I just shake my head. |

Kingof2nations: Stop fooling yourself Ignorant is not excuse No lecturer is receiving multiple salaries even IPPIS lecturer still go on visiting and they get paid. Tell your govt to stop creating new universities rather they should sustain and improve the existing ones. Thank you Don't mind him. They don't think deep. They just type cluelessly. Thank God I'm now a Lecturer and know the stress we go through as academics in Nigeria. This year, RUGIPO poly was approved to be converted to a university. Meaning Ondo state now has 4 universities, yet AAUA is suffering poor staff welfare. Make we dey play. |

realestate99: We told them it was suicidal to sack Rohr but the useless Uzor Kalu said he has no tactics, a coach that guided us to world cup and nations cup with ease.
We told them that it is better to have an open goal instead of Uzoho in post, uzohor conceeded a cheap Messi goal in 2018 world cup group stage important match, dumped us out against Ghana in last year's world cup qualifiers, now he has conceeded another useless goal from midfield. Imagine conceeding from such a long range from a Zimbabwe player, Uzoho deserves to be stripped naked.
Now we are loosing to Zimbabwe on a neutral venue (Rwanda), what if the match was played in Zimbabwe, what if?........... I understand how you feel o, but there's really little your post here will do to Nigeria! Nigeria is enjoying corruption and can't do things right at the moment, no matter how emotional our posts seem. The systemic decay will take a rare deliberate leader ready to clean the rot to make some moves to restore our glory. But when? |

When the government is corrupt it means the citizens are corrupt just like the postulation, they haven't been in a position to show their corrupt tendencies. I've said it severally, if you have integrity, you can say it anywhere that you're not corrupt! I am not corrupt! No need for self defence if other Nigerians refuse to believe you. It's because it's inherent and a systemic rot for which the general public believes you can't be clean from. I know many things I have suffered at work and still suffering because I refuse to be induced. I am not corrupt! |
