Nothing wrong with Arabic, travel up north to see their traditional institutions and take time to read history, millions from neighbouring countries do business with us. Nigeria doesn't stop in the south. Everybody is well represented. Arabic is a plus as far as am concerned. If you can't fight to remove English then stop shouting Arabic. You can also fight to remove Sharia court in the North because we don't have muslim majority in South.

Because people used Arabic in the north or any part of Nigeria doesn't make it official language in Nigeria. Thank you

The argument wasn't dead on arrival, but the only excuse the CBN have was that, to reprint all our Naira note is capital intensive. Hence the status quo remains.

Stop being emotional. What was written in Arabic in both Army and our currency are all good. But Arabic never in all official language in our constitution, hence no need to used it to portray any good form of expression. Thanks

Are u saying that Arabic is a religion? We have a long way to go. There's advantage in the combination, Arabic is one of the most spoken languages in Africa and we transact with our neighbouring countries and beyond. I still don't understand the argument. Every nation is being rule by its constitution, and it says English, Hausa ,Igbo and Yoruba is our official Language. So what brings Arabic?

Sighting this 1000 note as an example, The Arabic inscription on it simply means NAIRA DUBU(Hausa language) in Transliteration which means #1000.

It's Hausa language but written in Arabic.

The Arabic word for a thousand naira is ألف not نير دوبو as it's on our thousand note.

I can also write egberun naira (Yoruba language) in Arabic as we have it in Hausa language (but written in Arabic) on our note. As well as in Igbo.

أيبر نير egberun naira (#1000).
