Hello

Thanks to all the input from so many people on this thread. I have a bit of a weird or not so weird one, I am currently in the UK with my wife and kids on a student visa, I want to invite my mum for a visit but a bit confused.

Background I came on this year on a student visa with 2 kids, I work part time as I am schooling, and my wife works full-time. I also have a brother who is schooling in the UK with graduation in November.
We want our mum to come for his graduation and then also visit her grandkids.

The issue we are having is who should apply? My brother that is graduating, he can get a letter of invitation from the school but his income won't be sufficient to cover her expenses. Or should I apply since my wife and I have combined good income and her grandkids are here.
On another note I was thinking if we should combine the reasons for her visit, provide graduate invitation from school and then my wife and I who would sponsor the trip due to our combined income, should also do a letter inviting her to visit grandkids. Would that be an overkill?

My mum is currently a pensioner but wouldn't be able to sponsor the trip on her own.

So I downloaded the Third party Declaration form From the UKVI site, I thought I downloaded during application for child visa, but I couldn't find it on my system. I hope its not wrong to download from their site, it looks the same.

Concerning the 3rd Party Declaration forms, is this just for the children or for all dependants?

Also is it only the MA/sponsor that is required to sign this or there are places where the mum and dad is supposed to sign together?? E.G THE part 2 (screenshot attached)

Do I need to attach CV for study gap??

Hello all,

Happy Sunday!!

Please I am completing visa application for child dependant and i am at the declaration page.

1. I guess I should choose the 3rd option (I am the parent of applicant under 18)

2. When I choose this it takes me to the next page (screenshot added) asking in what capacity are you representing applicant, the only option that looks okay is "family member" but when I choose this, it asks how are my related to main applicant(which is me)

Am I doing something wrong here

OK Thank You Duchess, just to clarify, Financially dependant also means the POF which is my account would cover her right? Because this is the reason i am a bit confused, since her maintenance funds would be in my account.

If your wife is financially dependent on you then you can include her name.if not then just your kids

Please I am completing the Visa Application online I am a bit confused about one question.
The question is I already filled a part about my Spouse/partners details

Then the next question is dependant details (those that are financially dependant on you), I filled my 2 kids details here but u want to know if I should fill my wife's details there again?? The information required is basically the same thing I have inputted under my spouses details

Good day all,
Please I need a bit of direction.
My CAS states that I provided my degree certificate and student Academic Record to get admission. The issue I have is, the transcript I submitted to the school is student copy (No signature or stamp anywhere on it).
The official transcript is taking too much time to obtain although they are promising next week.

1. Can I use the student copy(no signature or stamp) to apply for the Visa or I must have the official transcript?
2. Since they are promising next week ( I sincerely pray), should I apply so I can get a close biometric date but choose assisted service so I don't need to upload documents until biometric date when the official transcript may have come? And incase the official transcript doesn't come will they allow black and white student copy transcript at assisted service??

3. Can i upload documents after choosing self-service before my biometric date or i cant edit again?
can I switch from assisted service to Self-service or vice versa??

Goodevening everyone,
Please I have two questions concerning ViSA application.
1. I have a sister who is a citizen in the UK, my brother also went there during September intake with student visa, he declared her as family living in UK. The question is since I am applying now, should i declare only my sister who is a citizen or both of them (brother is on student visa) or shouldn't I declare any atall before they say we want to plant family roots there?

2. I have dependants, should consent for POF use on MA account be written separately for each dependant or on one letter? Same too for parental consent??

In a situation where Waec and BSC original certificates can't be found (seems to be missing) but you have scanned copies and photocopies, does this pose a problem at any stage?
What can be done in such a scenario?

I just need to know if I am on track with the POF calculation. MA has 3 dependants and its outside London.

Bal tuition - 6,500
MA maintenence - 9,207
3 dependants Maintenance- 18,360

Total - 34,067pounds

34,067 @ N530 to £1 (Current oanda rate is about N482 to £1)

= N18,055,510

Is N20M fine as POF??

Hi I am aware that Uniben recently made it possible to get your unofficial transcript from your kofa page. I know two people who got theirs that way. Log into your kofa page and under study course there should be a place for you to download it. It is free of charge. Though i heard the website has had some issues recently.

454 is a good score but the last general draw (FSW) was 468 in December 2020. The last time a general draw went below 454 was May 2019 (2 years ago).

I’ll advise you to get into the pool first, and then start looking for ways to increase your CRS score. You can be in the pool and get an NOI from a province or even apply for provincial nominations. But without being in the pool, you can’t do anything.

Another sure way of increasing your CRS score is to write the French exam. If you pass, you gain 60+ points and are guaranteed an ITA in the next general draw.

Good morning all, newbie here. For years I have been unsure about applying for FSW even before I got married. Now I am married with two kids, the state of the land and finding the best opportunities for our kids has enabled me reach the right decision, Its time to Go!!
I have the rudimentary knowledge of the process having gone through some pages of these threads but require some clarifications for the best possible CRS

1. I did a quick assessment and we have a score of 454, is this sufficient to scale through the pool?? If not what's the best average score to quality for selection??

2. I have a masters with about 10yrs working experience 34yrs, do I need another certification cause I see ACCA or BCS in some threads to qualify for two or more certifications, also my wife (33yrs, 7yrs experience) has a BSC and her ICAN( I know this doesn't apply here) will her attaining ACCA F1 to F3 add any point to our CRS even as a secondary applicant??

Generally I just need advise on what CRS points we should be looking at and how best to attain it considering age qualifications and experience stated above.
