From my observation, I believe a lot of women who fvck their husbands up when they move to Europe and the US had been tolerating a lot when they were still in Nigeria.

A lot of Nigerian men are quite abusive, they won't admit this in public, but it is more common than people think.
In Nigeria, these women tolerate all forms of abuse and can't respond or leave due to the extremely conservative nature of our society, and other factors. But when they move over to the UK, for example, and the husband tries to replicate that same abuse there, the wife will respond or leave because of resentment, and also because those factors that were hindering her no longer exist.

The point I'm trying to make is, if you get to the root of a lot of these stories, the men are abusive. I know people who took their wives abroad and have no such stories, because they were never highhanded while here.

Profiling is part of life and part of their work

A suit wearing or formally dressed family man looking Theflint1 will not look like a yahoo criminal (unless the crime is insider trading or corporate crimes) and will escape scrutiny versus a music blasting tattooed earing, Dada with sagging pants Theflint1

And many times they get it right.

I have heard news of 60 something year old women running drug cartels but they get away with scrutiny because they don't fit the profile of a criminal
The type of car also matters.

The guys should wake up to reality. It is not about whether you were in the party first. Can you win election?
Those guys have no clout to win any of those seats so they should shut up and allow people that can fight those seats home to contest.

TROOPS OF OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA NEUTRALIZE TERRORIST, ARREST SUSPECTS AND DISRUPT CRIMINAL NETWORKS IN ZAMFARA STATE

Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA have continued to record successes against terrorists and bandits across Zamfara State. On 5 June 2026, troops of Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA on fighting patrol to Birnin Tsaba and Tsanu villages in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area made contact with terrorists at Birnin Tsaba village. Following a firefight, troops neutralized one terrorist and recovered seven motorcycles.

On 6 June 2026, troops responded to a terrorist attack at Anguwar Sarkin Musulmi village in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area. The troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to flee into the bush. Preliminary findings revealed that the terrorists had stolen personal belongings from residents before the arrival of troops. The incident further highlights the growing desperation of terrorist elements whose sources of sustenance and logistics have continued to come under pressure from sustained military operations.

On the same day, troops responded to reports of an attack on commuters along the Kaura Namoda–Zurmi Road. Investigations showed that terrorists ambushed two civilian vehicles between Jabanda and Dauran villages in Zurmi Local Government Area. Troops secured the area, evacuated injured victims for medical treatment and have continued efforts to track the terrorists and rescue any abducted passengers.

Also on 6 June 2026, troops of Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA conducting a fighting patrol to Tudun Wada and Dan Gulbi communities in Maru Local Government Area arrested eight suspected bandits at Tudun Wada. Troops recovered seven motorcycles, communication equipment, mobile phones, power banks, military-style uniforms and other items. A structure used by the suspects was also destroyed.

In a related operation, troops on 5 June 2026 arrested the suspected recipient of recently intercepted ammunition at Tupa village in Shinkafi Local Government Area following intelligence exploitation. The suspect is in custody and assisting ongoing investigations. Operation FANSAN YAMMA remains committed to sustaining offensive operations against terrorists and bandits and urges members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies.

Many many years ago I use to do typing for a police station. They'd come to where we work to beg one of us to go help them type and print stuff.

Police officers are stingy, when people render services to them they don't like to pay like normal people, so they get their own machines because of that and yet their own officers still won't do the work, they'll start looking for regular people to beg to help them.

I thought they've changed sha because this was like fifteen years back, but since you mentioned it does that mean they're still doing this?!

I always wondered why none of the police officers in the whole station could do the typing. Thinking about it now, I agree with you. The NPF is filled with illiterates, even the ones who claim to be educated still behave and think like illiterates, when I see some policemen I wonder why people like that are allowed in the force.
This is a serious security gap that probably wouldn't be allowed in serious countries btw. Because in the process of doing this I always saw confidential information and other stuff that are not supposed to be seen by outsiders, imagine I'm a snitch, I'll just go and sing the information to people who might need such info.

NPF investigation skill is purely F9. 90% of NPF cannot even type a letter on MS Word.

Once they release those guys, forget it the government is not going to hunt them down.

My fear is for those terrorists that get released not to cause bigger havoc later in the society having regained their freedom through this exchange of hostages.

I think after the dust settles on this issue; our government across various levels need to have some serious discussion and take some hard decisions.

1. They need to fast track and give priorities to terrorism cases in our law court. Let suspected terrorists be tried ASAP and let those found guilty be convicted within the shortest possible time.

2. Let's have a law that prescribes death sentence for convicted terrorists/bandits/kidnappers whether they killed their hostage or not. Make the crime a capital offence that attracts capital punishment

3. Let it be illegal for any state governor to refuse to sign the death warrants of convicted bandits/kidnappers/terrorists. Over time a lot of governors have refused to sign death warrants of prisoners in their state. I think the last governor that signed a prisoner's death warrant was Adams Oshiomole while he was governor.

Anybody who would not sign the death warrant of a prisoner should be impeached as governor. It should be a very solid ground for impeachment, and the house of assembly should not hesitate to declare a governor' seat vacant if he doesn't sign a convict's death warrant within a week or two.

I believe it's because these guys stay in prison for years, that's why their comrades will be emboldened to kidnap people and be using them as bargaining chip for their release like these yeye terrorists are doing with these Oyo victims.
This is a global problem. I've seen some Americans complaining about governors refusing to sign death warrants over there too , and I believe such action only serve to embolden killers. If you kill anybody you should also be killed, no two ways about it.

Excessive liberalism is causing many criminals and killers to be left alone instead of being brutally executed on life TV to serve as deterrent to other bastards.

Just so you know. Sharia Law is even harsher on Kidnappers and killers than your conventional law. Judgement is very fast self.

Extremists unit like Bokoharam, ISIS and all should be killed.

I am not an extremist, I am a Christian that respects people and their religion.

Lemme make you understand better. Lemme use Kano. There are places in Kano. Predominantly Muslim area or settlement. Sharia Law is what guide them. Sharia Law is in the constitution and is what guide them there. In the same Kano, there are places where there's nothing like Sharia. Those places have different tribes and all. You can drink and do your stuff there, no problem

Road does not even have to pass there.

Where i served there was a village that had no constructed roads leading to it. We had to cross the Sahel with bikes, and we got to a river ford where we crossed the river at a shallow point with the bikes. We got there and there was an Igbo trader in this village selling goods.
People who served in places like this, is it just love of adventure? I'm genuinely curious, because you can work the posting to a more favourable location so why willingly go to places that are still in the 18th century?

Democracy is a gift and a curse

The freedom is also the drawback. USA is fighting govt that dont care about public opinion while Trump America gets to determine his political fate even those who hate him and those who dont have the whole picture
Exactly, this is equation most people who always blame Trump don't consider. His hands are tied. If US presidents didn't have to care about public opinion and congress, the world map would likely be more different than it currently is.

If Iran was in the position of the US, we both know the US would've probably seized to exist.

In my opinion, this is the best time to cripple Iran permanently. This is the weakest they've been in decades.
This must be why Netanyahu is frustrated.

However, the problem with Trump is that he cares too much about headlines. If he orders an action, even if said action is critical or necessary, he will pause or stop it because of unfavorable headlines.
Although he really can't be blamed for this, ignoring headlines kinda equals ignoring the wishes of the populace and it might cost his party during elections, this is the cost of democracy.

I always say it that people always talking shit about USA and their leaders should be happy the US is a democracy. It's own laws and institutions stop it from fvcking their enemies up badly, if not a lot of these troublesome countries would've long been silenced.

If you laugh at Trump because you compare him to dictators like Putin and Xi who don't give a fvck about what their citizens or parliaments want, you're just being mischievous.

The current US can never win a direct war against China and Russia sha. And the reason is obvious their democratic and liberal population will cry and wail for surrender if only two cities get bombed or things get expensive, Russian and Chinese leaders have no such problems.

You don't know 80k monthly is life saving to some people? You underestimate the level of extreme poverty in Nigeria. Some people have never received 300k at once in their life and they're in their 40s. I don't even want to talk about a million.

If you give some people 50k monthly jobs they'll thank you like you saved them from some cold blooded executor.

Only people who've failed in life or know they've no prospects of making it in life join the Nigerian army.

I see no other reason any sane person will willingly join the NA, there's nothing special in it maybe except to gain ability to harass innocent non-gun wielding civilians.
