BlueRayDick: On the grounds of insecurity alone sef Tinubu no supposed see 10% of votes in a general election, but trust the abracdabra system of government & politics we play in Nigeria dem go tell us say : "One Good turn deserves another " Let's be serious here. Even if thugs are not involved, poor Nigerians will still sell their votes to the highest bidder. And as you know it, poor people constitute a greater path of the electorate. Mass illiteracy/lack of exposure, tribalism/religion and poverty shapes how people vote in this country, and it's not getting better. |

Amoto94: PRESS RELEASE
UPDATE ON NIGERIA- UNITED STATES JOINT STRIKES ON ISIS: FORCES DELIVER DEVASTATING BLOW, ELIMINATE 175 TERRORISTS
The Defence Headquarters wishes to announce major successes in continuing counterterrorism operations in close coordination with United States Africa Command against ISIS terrorists in North East Nigeria.
It will be recalled that the joint strikes started a few days ago. As of 19 May 2026, assessments indicate that 175 ISIS terrorists have been eliminated from the battlefield.
The joint strikes have resulted in the destruction of ISIS checkpoints, weapons caches, logistical hubs, military equipment and financial networks used to sustain terrorist operations.
The operations have also resulted in the elimination of several senior ISIS leaders, including Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, one of the most significant ISIS operatives in the world.
Al-Minuki played a central role in ISIS external operations, coordinating terrorist financing, recruitment, logistics and attack planning targeting Nigerians and innocent civilians around the world. His death severely disrupts ISIS command, operational coordination and external attack networks.
Other terrorist figures eliminated include Abd-al Wahhab, ISWAP senior leader responsible for coordinating attacks and distributing propaganda, Abu Musa al-Mangawi, ISWAP senior member and Abu al-Muthanna al-Muhajir, ISWAP senior media production team manager and close confidant to al-Minuki.
The joint strikes have further reinforced what the Armed Forces of Nigeria have consistently done over the years - hunt down and kill terrorists anywhere they are in Nigeria.
The joint operations will continue to hunt down and destroy those who threaten our nation and regional stability.
SAMAILA UBA Major General Director Defence Information 19 May 2026 Mr publicity secretary of the Nigerian military, Incase you're not hearing it from people around you. Only fools still hold the Nigerian military in any regard. The Nigerian military is an unprofessional and very useless force. If they were handling terrorists and bandits with the same zeal they use when dealing with defenceless citizens they're supposed to be protecting, maybe the country would've been safer. |

izzou: Chai! Pa Nwoko bites the dust
So what happens to his Anioma state?
Ned has been pushing for the creation of an Anioma state, and it should be added to the SE. Okowa supports it, but says it should stay in the SS.
With Okowa going to the Senate, that dream might die off, because the Senate won't add a 7th state for the SS. That is Ned Nwoko's problem. Do you think he actually cares for the Anioma cause? Or he was chasing a bigger picture to be regarded as the godfather of the state(if it was approved) since he championed it. If he was that desperate to return to the Senate he should've gone to Okowa with the following proposition: 1. Henceforth, publicly regard Okowa as his master/benefactor, 2. 60% of every loot or whatever he makes due to the Senate seat goes to Okowa, 3. Every legislative agenda he plans to initiate or support must go through Okowa for approval first. If he had given this proposition or something similar, given how far Okowa has already come in life, he would've probably agreed. But the problem with people like Nwoko is they have too much pride, thinking they're bigger than they are. Okowa choosing to contest is just to show who's the boss, not because he's really interested. And Ned If he didn't know who the boss was all this while, I believe he now knows from the result of the primary. |

TemporaryHansel: Bandits now operating more intensely in the SW and yet master strategist isn't doing anything, just focused on only politics as usual.
At this point, it is becoming obvious that even if 2000 people are killed daily in every state in the country, Tinubu won't care.
Is it until Lagos and Abuja are involved that they'll know it's human lives being sniffed out here and not chicken lives?
The useless Nigerian military and police force are nowhere to be found, they are only active against unarmed/defenceless civilians. They only care about Lagos and Abuja. Every other place in the country means nothing to them, regardless of how many lives are lost. |

TemporaryHansel: Yeah. To be fair to him, nobody predicted the master will defect to APC. I think that EFCC case made him do it, to avoid unnecessary disturbance. Anyways, even if Okowa didn't defect to APC, as long as he chose to contest, Ned cannot win against him in a general election either. Whether primary or general, he's bound to lose to the boss. |

izzou: Any specific reason why Ned cannot beat Okowa?
Is it because he has done a lot of years already? Ned cannot beat Okowa in a primary. That is the end of it. People online seem to think because Ned is a moneybag he can win, but these things don't work like that. If the stakeholders don't fvck with you, no amount of money will help you. Ned decamped from PDP to APC because he feared Okowa will contest for the Senate seat and he knows he can't contest against Okowa and win, only for Okowa to defect to APC later, talk about the devil paying you a visit hahaha. He should've locked up instead of going ahead to disgrace himself by contesting against Okowa. Okowa is not Peter Nwaoboshi, and some reasons he won was because of Regina daniels popularity by his side and Nwaoboshi himself already fvcked up due to previous decisions he made. Nothing special. |

TemporaryHansel: If Okowa contest for the Senate seat for Delta North, which is likely, there's no way Ned will win. Ned cannot win Okowa in a primary election. That's why he ran from PDP to APC, now Okowa is also in APC, where's he going to run to now? Maybe he'll run to LP, because Ned Nwoko cannot beat Okowa in a primary election. @Akinlot see what I said about this last year around October. |

With the benefit of hindsight, I doubt he would have defected to APC. Defeated Okowa in another dimension or different reality perhaps. It was Peter Nwaoboshi(may his soul rip) that he defeated. |

It's not by having the most money. Irrespective of how much you have, if major stakeholders don't like you or don't front you, you won't go anywhere.

Hey ya he was a nice guy when he dies at 54 na him go end am.
I understand the silent man and I also understand the man that decides to speak. And men need to do less laughing and more listening to our problems. Suicide rates and mental health issues is at a high and we can't keep being indifferent to each other's struggles. Women are not wired to care. That one is nature and I don't hold it against them I just understand that's woman being woman but the first instinct as a man hearing another man's marital issues should not be to laugh. Let the women do that
As for male celebs if you don't maximize your fame and spend responsibly you have yourself to blame. Chris Brown is the only male celeb doing it right and breaking these girls pockets
I've never understood the culture of trickin, living lavishly trying to impress women. I've always maintained men should be even more frugal and have zero tolerance for women that are there to squander your resources. I have not seen church wey get ministry for Widowers.
