Some men don't have the affluence Portable has but they have the connection of some of those highly placed men. Sometimes it is not about bar, can those men trust him and his rabid mouth? Before the discovery of Csat, I only sub my DStv for football and maybe music. Just paying huge sums for just two purposes on DStv.



My prayer is the stuff continue to go on, I need to recoup years of fleecing by DStv.

Begin commenting on serious topical issues of nation-building amongst young Nigerian and in a few hours, it'd be watered down to "'cruise". Heck! If the protesters of EndSARS hadn't been shot at to stoke the ire of the youth, it was already devolving to street rallies.

Don't take my word for it. Go check out EndSARS videos. It was barely serious and for photo ops until the government foolishly shot at the protesters.

Our investment in intellectually unstimulating music mirrors our attitude to issues of national concern. I bet the reason why some of us debate pressing sociopolitical and economic issues on this thread is, outside of here, on the wider social media, most young persons are not interested in these discourses.

That's why Fisayo Sombo who is Nigeria's most consistent investigative journalist in recent years barely gets attention but a drama king like VeryDark-whoever who doesn't do due diligence but thrives on scandals gets all of the attention.

That's why Fisayo exposing Nigerian customs gets no attention but VeryDarkPerson facing off with Nollywood actresses gets all the headlines.

Can't be someone from a state where the people are renowned from suffering identity crisis coming for Edo State sha...if they're not "Yoruba but Hausa/Fulani", they are "Hausa/Fulani but Yoruba"...even the gloriousgbola in question has been caught one too many times trying to claim Lagos and not his home state of Kwara.

Ask him why he's ashamed of stand strong as a Kwara native and he'd say he's lived longer in Lagos than Kwara, or that his mum is actually from Lagos so that makes him Lagosian...I know that's not how it works in our respective cultures

Before we go into why Kwara is the way it is, the question of its people's identity crisis has to first be resolved.

I don't know why I think Sowore is some sort of controlled opposition. Each time he stages any of these numerous protests, it gives a vibe like he's working for the current APC government. More like he's paid to act like a faux opposition wherein he will make some noise here and there, make it seem like he is on the side of the people, have tear gas shot at him and his co-travellers by the police after a day or two and then things go back to normal.

Maybe his Pro-APC stance in the run-off to the 2015 elections is what gave me the feeling that he's still a contractor to the party; I just don't know where there is something off with him and these protests that yield no results.

I have noticed that none of the gazillion protests he has led has achieved anything of note. The ENDSARS protest which he was not at the forefront nor given much reference; that particular protest brought about a result that is bigger than any of his uncountable protests.
