These Igbos live around Iwinrin, which has been described by Yoruba elders as Igbo town, and their chief is called Obawinrin.They still play a very important role in Ife culture today, including in the famous Itapa Festival.The Obawinrin is appointed by the Ooni of Ife.Remember we have told you a lot about the Olukumis who followed Prince Chima we have told you about the ones that were sold by their conquerors into slavery. We have told you that some of them remained and assimilated into the Yoruba race.

I thought some people have already updated you on the correct version of these events. Those people are not the NdIgbo or the Igbo people found in the Delta and SE. None of their ancestors followed anyone called Eze Chima from Benin. They are actually core Yoruba people, who are now found within the Ugbo kingdom in Yorubaland. They bear no relationship or similarities to the Igbo, in the South-East. That is what I have been informed.

So what is IPOB doing? And MASSOB? Or APGA?? Couldn't they have organised a lecture in Ojukwu's memory, or taken out full page adverts in the print media, in remembrance of his activities? People have such short memories. Tomorrow, they will go online to say they can die for their leader, yet nothing is being done to preserve his memory.

If it was in the South-West, the man's family, associates and friends would have put together a foundation to preserve his legacy, and an annual symposium to celebrate him.

But now...what a pity!

That is the way it has always been in the far North. Very few couples get married, because of love. Marriages are arranged by the families, and the girl or prospective bride, usually has very little say in it. Among the educated families, they will probably ask the girl for her consent, on the person that has been chosen for her.

If she refuses, they put pressure on her slowly, gently but inexorably to change her mind, and get her consent. Some families have been known to threaten to disown their kids for refusing to get married to the person chosen for them.

That is the way it has always been. In the South, people get married out of love. But in the North, most people get married out of a sense of duty. Only very few have the priviledge of getting married out of love.

It was Ojukwu that insisted on your people going to war, even after emissaries had been sent to him to drop the idea and several warnings had been issued to him to desist from that course of action. It was your people that begged Ojukwu to give them arms that they were ready to fight.

3) Did the arresting Agency exhaust the option of extending an invitation to the suspects before procuring the Arrest Warrant?
4) Did the arrested suspects at any time pose the risk of taking to flight?
5) Does the arresting Agency not have people at all the land, sea and air borders to prevent an escape of the suspects?
6) Did the arresting Agency at any time write a letter to the National Judicial Commission (NJC) highlighting the offences committed by the suspects and demanding their release for an interview?

This Court reserves judgement in this matter. I will rise.
