Agreed.

We will not beat them if we play our normal slow buildup game with slow passes. If we can get MG 1 v 1 vs a defender something can happen. Or any other chance.

VDB, MG11 and BF can make something happen. They’re fast players. Maybe Ole didn’t use them (excluding VDB) and Martial yesterday in order to take advantage of Spurs’ fixture congestion?

We should be winning this one.
The best thing here is that Sonaldo won’t be available. So AWB has less to worry about.

Especially folks who don't know Nagelsmann a all... Well am going to watch with keen interest grin

I respect Ten Haag big time, should the need arise I jus hope united will consider him wink
The UCL draw is very good, crucial times ahead.

Julian’s Leipzig against United & PSG.

Ten Haag’s Ajax against Liverpool & Atalanta.

Full-on attacking display.

To avoid cap. The aim is to watch how Julian sets up his team, and their pattern of attacking play.

No one seems to be talking about Ten Haag again, despite him reaching the semis of the UCL and almost ousting Spurs if not for Moura luck. Why?

Dembele makes Jones, Rojo, and Bailly look like fitness freaks. His case is even worse than theirs cause he has a specific problem and he gets injured even more than them.
The idea that he’s being begged to change his mind makes it all more disgusting. If he eventually changes his mind, we might experience a nonchalant attitude from him when things don’t move smoothly.

Also, there are reports of some Amad Traore guy, though one can’t say if it United’s PR working overtime or the scouts are finally proving themselves.

You can put the blame on me too

You just described what you hope the players were playing, but that is not it. You were mentioning James, meanwhile Greenwood starts ahead of him since June. There is no fluidity but you wish there is one
What I hope? As per I’m lying?

Are you proofreading your replies?

I gave James as an example of a player that operates differently based on the position he finds himself in. Do I really have to type it all over again? grin

So you don’t see Greenwood switch to the left in matches? and Rashford swift to the right? And vice versa? Lmaoooo

Oh well, Man United will rise again. Peace.

We have not seen any fluidity in Greenwood, Rashford and Martial in a while unless those once is a while play. Why is that? I guess Sancho will be the one to unlock them.

So you don’t see them interchange positions during the match?

Just say you didn’t expect that there’ll be an accurate answer to your “WiCkeD” question lmaooooo

You sabi ask wicked questions sha...

no na. Maybe I'm being too over critical ni. maybe with his explanation, I may see both Sancho and our attackers in a new light grin
patrickmuf:
I dey wait to read him reply...
Sancho has pace, and is two-footed, which makes him versatile for both wings. OGS requires his attacking 3 to be fluid.

Sancho plays with ball to feet, similar to Anthony Martial. And he loves to dribble a lot. OGS seems to support players that dance in and around the box more than players that focus on making crosses.

Sancho also has an eye for pass, he possesses a very good playmaking ability, shown by his stat of last season. This means that in the system, the fluidity does not tamper with the quality of passing. For example, Daniel James. James style of play as a LW is different from his style of play as a RW. James plays more as an Inverted Forward when on the left, and as a Traditional Winger when on the right. He can’t play as an Inverted forward on the right because he isn’t two-footed.

Sancho plays as an Inverted forward on both wings because of his two-footedness, but his pace also gives him the ability to become unpredictable. He can either go in dribbling, or outpace defenders and put in a low cross for well-positioned CF to finish off. This is in line with OGS need for a fluid front 3.

Sancho himself is a good finisher, so while reading the game and setting up his teammates, his eye for goal cannot be underestimated, because he can shoot at any time, from anywhere within the box 18. Compare this to Mason Greenwood. Greenwood’s two-foot technique and power shot makes him a problem for keepers to deal with.

Now, let’s look at it from the mental aspect.

Sancho’s stats of last season prove that his decision-making is very good. You can’t rack up 17 assists with a dull brain. He plays for the team, and has good tactical understanding of the game well enough to know when to lay on a goal scoring chance for his teammates.

Sancho, just like Van De Beek has a good off-the-ball movement. Though I believe that VDB is slightly better than him in that aspect. Players with good off-the-ball movement are quality because they already know what to do with the ball before it arrives. That aids the team flow on the pitch.

Despite the hype and media coverage, Sancho seems to remain focused on becoming one of the best in the world. His interviews prove that. It’s not easy for a player of his age to manage such level of hype. That shows a strong mentality.

Lastly, Sancho already knows most of the guys at United, so gelling shouldn’t be a problem.

This is the last time I’ll have to explain stuff like this. If you want to know a player’s style of play, go watch your damn TV.

That's not the point. You want to label him injury prone, even when he only caught a virus, even the most fittest player can get it. Come off it
But he’s injury-prone nah grin

Liverpool won the Premier League. They already have an excellent squad. They can afford to take risks like this. United cannot.

So when they sign him, Yes, they are strengthening. United should also strengthen, but not with injury-prone guys.

We already have a lot of Doctors at the club, both as medical staff, players and fans.

The truth is United fans want the high sounding record breaking signings instead of the humble decent and efficient acquisition. Greizmann transfer saga was exactly like that of Sancho. 90% of the fans were bullying the board to splash on Greizmann even with his ridiculous wages. You may not be among those asking for him at that time, just like me anyway.
I personally didn’t want United to sign Griezmann, because he wasn’t the player United desperately needed at that point. Grizzy’s style of play wasn’t exactly the type United needed.

It’s not advisable to go for just any player, else the circle of clamor for more players will continue.

In Sancho’s case, his style of play looks to fit into what OGS wants from his attackers. Everyone talks about how Sancho needs space, what about Rashford? Does Rashford not also need space?

This is where the scouts are needed. If Sancho is overpriced, find someone with a similar style of play.

This was why Klopp bought Keita, Jota & Minamino etc. Klopp generally loves players that are engines on the pitch, because it enforces his gengenpress tactics.

OGS true shortcoming is his inability to tweak during a match, when things are not in going in his favor, and bark at his players when they don’t do what he wants.

Regardless, if he leaves today, the next coach will still demand for players that fit a style, and ofcourse United will drag as they always do. It’s constant.

Thiago caught Covid-19 not injured, get your facts right.

Mane was mentioned as LVG target for 30m, Unuted fans abused him, asking for £90m Greizmann.

United is not among Elite clubs now performance wise, so getting Bale on loan for one year is not a disaster, and buy back clause on Regullion for 2 years is not a disaster too, if we can get his services for 2 years.
Abused?

Oh well.. You can dig back to LVG’s time here, some of us on this thread didn’t support the signing of Greizmann.

Bale is very injury prone, I don’t really have to explain this further.

United to accept a buy-back clause from Real Madrid? Let’s just have him on loan and stop deceiving ourselves lmaoo

When Tiago was mentioned here, you guys called him an injury prone player knocking off the idea almost immediately but now you guys claim Liverpool (our rivals) have strengthened or is it Jota? Or that Greek left back? Will you guys accept any of those players here?

Who has City bought? Ake, Diaz and Ferran Torres...If someone here suggested Torres, won't you people be asking if he will MASSIVELY improve our team? Or is it Ake that you lots won't say was relegated with Bournemouth thus isn't good enough or Diaz from the Portuguese league?

Arsenal have signed Willian whom I am certain won't be accepted here or it is Sali a and Gabriel you people won't knock down for Tuanzebe and Mengi?

Who has Spurs gotten? Bale and Reguillon, the same Bale that you guys started cursing Ed when we were linked to him or Reguillon people started tabbing here because he was dribbled once?

Who has Leicester Signed that you guys think will fit in our team or MASSIVELY improve us as you guys will say?

I am sure if Liverpool or Manchester City were the ones who signed Van De Beek, you guys would have called him an improvement too but because we got him, he isn't.

Now, I hear we're close to signing up Dembele and already fans are against the signing sighting his injury record but if Pep and City swoop for him, you people will start shouting that our rivals are strengthening.

If Pogba, Martial, De Gea and the likes were in other clubs and moved to our rivals in the league this summer, I am sure you guys would've been criticizing Ed here for not getting them. Every toy out there looks so good you want to throw away the one you already have.ut you fail to realize that some ody washes those toys you see out there so they keep shining...

Before you come here to say our rivals are strengthening, do well to point out the players they have signed so we can take a critical look at them.

We have quality players in our team but we have not gotten the right manager to work with them. If you are doubting the impact of a manager on a player, check Mane for instance, until he met Klopp his game was still raw but now, look at Mane, he has fine tuned his game and is now a player to reckon with.

NB: I once supported Ole but when I saw that the job was bigger than him, I had no option but to backtrack.
Pfft.

Liverpool and City are strengthening their squad depth.

Btw, incase you don’t know, Thiago is injured. Again.

Spurs claim to be a big team but they really are small, and it’s no surprise they went in for an injury-prone Bale & buy-back clause Reguilon when their coach is Mou.

Yeah, Mane scored the fastest hat trick in the Premier League while playing for Juergen Klopp lmao
