Is it possible for me to apply for visa without paying the 8640 euros in a deutsch bank. I already have someone residing in Germany who is ready to present necessary documents and act as my sponsor. You sincere opinion will be appreciated

It seems the procedure for securing appointments for student visa interview in Lagos has changed (from observation I made on the website).

For those who sent an email and no confirmation yet, maybe you should try this.

Go to: https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_realmList.do?locationCode=lago&request_locale=en

Click "continue" under VISA

Then you'll see
- Long term Visa (Students only)
- Long term visa (family reunion, work permit etc NOT STUDENTS)
- Short term visa (Schengen States)

Continue to "Long term Visa (Students only)". There are many open slots there.

Doesn't surprise me, i tried to get an earlier date for my interview, but they said July was full, so my best guess would be:

1. They have so many appointments, that it probably might create a backlog so they want to reduce that number first before taking on more requests

2. Summer vacation is drawing close, so its possible that some key memeber of staff might be away on holiday, therefore only some services will be available during that time

I requested for my interview before July 4th... Call the embassy in Lagos, use the extension 100 and someone would (hopefully) speak with you. Make sure you have enough airtime on your phone though. Cos they can keep you on hold for a lengthy period of time and your airtime would be wasting

Don't take it some other way. You might not be available in the future! Some other person not going to TUM biomedical science can benefit! There is the inefficiency of answering requests individually.

So you can't drop even admission transcript in case of someone that might need it when in the nearest future when you leave the thread. Alot of peeps here are all about taking and never wanting to give back. I bet you can't even post your Visa transcript sef. I don't even know how you would have gotten the volume of information and help you get here if all that is done is PM. ....

Abeg, who applied or studying in FSU Jena? How long does it take for them to make decision on admission. My app deadline is may31 but I've not heard from them.

Good morning nairalanders. I've got this pressing issues I need your advice on. In my e passport they made mistake n fill 1991 as my date of birth and right now I'm claiming the 1991 and that I left primary school 1998 finishing secondary school 2004 which amounts to 7 years of primary + 6 years of secondary = 13 years. people saw thus and objected that I will be queried in the embassy for the years that its impossible to have gotten the primary 6 cert at age 7. but I intend explaining that I had double promotion in my primary school. Pls house what's the implication of this? thanks all for your expected contributions.

@ haywire1 u don't get me, how can I use one transcript to apply to more dan one skuls instead of paying such amount 4 each transcript. I can get hold of my transcript but it always carries a destination address on it. How possible can i certify that and use for other schools?

I'm a graduate of Engineering (Elektronik/Comm) B.Eng second class lower, I graduated in 2005 and I want to further my studies in Germany. I have applied for the past 3years now but have been turned down. I'm not sure if it's my grades or the German language.
However this year I have decided to apply for BSc in either Information Systems or Engineering.
I have some years of work experience in the Banking sector, I have also completed private classes in A2 to B2 German language classes, but I don't know if I should apply with only ssce (cos its since 97) or if I should still apply with my BEng
