I don't know what previous laws you're talking about. the same moral laws in the old testament are repeated in the new testament. God commanded the Canaanites to be killed, why they were sacrificing their babies, after series of warnings they kept at it, and God brought judgement on them. According to you if God is not the standard of Morality then isn't it Just survival of the fittest in an unguided world? so where do you get off saying it is immoral?

Its a question of whose morality (or mores) are followed at any point in time, and what values ( oftentimes financial) are placed on whatever is considered moral or amoral.

Morality by definition is an idea that upholds the worth and dignity of humans. immorality is opposite, you can't have one be the other that's a contradiction. there's never a time the murder of someone is right or the rape of someone is right, in the absolute sense of it rape is wrong, regardless of anyone's opinion.

when I started college as a bio science major, I started to question some of the things I have read myself from the bible, I figured I will be doing my self a great disservice if there's no God and I keep spending my time on meaningless things to please this "God". The more I searched, I realized my five senses are the only things I have to understand the world around me. but if there's no God i do I know I can trust my five senses to tell me what's true and what's not. And in all my observation, life is always a product of life never have I seen life coming from none life. I'm still searching, but in all intellectual honesty, If a does God exists, the Judeo-christian God is the most plausible explanation for our existence.

I don't believe in God, as a result i acknowledge I'm a result of a cosmic accident, and by implication I accept my life and the life of an animal are equal, neither is more precious than the other. They respect their leaders which is why it democracy would most likely work for them best but still we are talking about Nigeria as an entity devoid of tribal segregation. Democracy is not about respecting leaders damn it. it is knowing that we as a people decide how we want the government, the chosen few are there to serve and represent the masses, but i will have to agree that it's not working in Nigeria due to tribalism and lack objective thinking, this blind loyalty i see so many exhibit is why Nigeria is at the brink........if democracy is not working, we should come up with a form of Government that will work for us and our unique situation, so long the fundamental human rights are kept intact.
