Poems For ReviewRe: Random Ramblings From The Mind Of Tex by texanomaly(op): 2:52pm On Nov 10, 2013
harlos: i'm sorry i made you cry
seeing you like this makes me fry
clean your eyes and make it dry
Together we'll depart
common baby let us fly
Swooping in on gilded wing
The War raging on all sides
Through the air my battle cry will ring
Throwing down the gauntlet
Swordplay deafening
Together we will take flight
And angels will sing.

BusinessRe: Integrity And Ethics: Foundations For Sucess In Business by texanomaly(f): 2:50pm On Nov 10, 2013
iafatok: What constitutes ethical behaviour varies from one person to another, from industry to industry.... For example one person who finds 20 millions of naira on the floor believes that it is okay to stick it in his pocket, whereas another feels compelled to turn it in to the lost-and-found department.
There is no variance here. One is a thief, and the other is not. If you don't know the difference, I can't help you.

Poems For ReviewRe: Random Ramblings From The Mind Of Tex by texanomaly(op): 2:35pm On Nov 10, 2013
harlos: bring me back if i'm going astray
hold me down and make me stay
talk to my ears and show me to way.
It's been my pleasure from the start
Meeting you
And taking part
Whatever it takes
I'll whisper to your heart
To bring you home
Take my hand and let's depart.

Joshthefirst: I don't get how the two pieces sync.
They were responses. Harlos and I were having some fun. Perhaps he will allow me to put the entire conversation here, with his poems credited to him. It may make more sense.

@harlos
What say you?
Christianity EtcRe: Is Prayer More Effective When Constructed With Verbal Aesthetics? by texanomaly(f): 12:51pm On Nov 10, 2013
cheksbry: lol @texanomaly,what exactly will you like to see?

i guess you should sample some churches in Nigeria..... grin...you will wonder if the, God we all serve has variations..... lipsrsealed.....some talk to God like they are sons and daughters, with well harmonized phrases, voice pitches and intonations....such that im left to wonder,if the people who always pray "gragaly" , sweating profusely, whilst releasing missiles, and death sentences haven't experienced God in his fullness grin....
Lolz...that's what I'm talkin' about! grin
Christianity EtcRe: Anambra Tragedy: God And Our Gross National Lunacy by texanomaly(f): 12:43pm On Nov 10, 2013
Mr Troll: Have you read the bible cover to cover? Be sincere now. How long did it take you?
More than once.
Early morning Seminary. Highschool days, 5:30am. 5 days a week. One school year on old testament, one school year on new. We were assigned so much to read each night. Then we discussed it the next day. Questions and opinions were encourage. Since those days, I still study daily. I read it like a book, but I also study by subject.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Does God Allow Satan To Influence Mankind? by texanomaly(f): 12:31pm On Nov 10, 2013
obadiah777: satan is not lucifer. lucifer is a title that means the illuminated or enlightened ones. the bright and morning star. lucifer in the bible is mentioned only once in the book of isaiah the 14th chapter. now if you dedicate time to study that chapter in its entirety, lucifer is not referring to a man but an empire. the empire is BABYLON. this is future prophesy because BABYLON is USA. USA is the lucifer being spoken about in isaiah 14th chapter. so your question is invalid because when AMERICA ( LUCIFER ) started sinning, there was sin rampant all over the world. before USA, there were demonic empires like the greek, medopersian, assyrian, egyptian and ancient babylonian. all demonic empires with their own sinful doctrines and philosophies
Smh...you must be a blast at parties... smiley
Christianity EtcRe: Is Prayer More Effective When Constructed With Verbal Aesthetics? by texanomaly(f): 12:16pm On Nov 10, 2013
cheksbry: well,i think its generally perceived that the more embellished and personalized, prayers show that the prayee has a budding relationship with God angry
sometimes it's possible to detect someone who has an almost non-existent prayer life....when they keep repeating the same prayer patterns.

Must we always blast into tongues
when leading prayers?(i know its supposed to be under the leading of the holy spirit),because i know some people do that to impress grin....i used to do that when i was a lot more younger lipsrsealed
I would like to see this.

Christianity EtcRe: Anambra Tragedy: God And Our Gross National Lunacy by texanomaly(f): 11:50am On Nov 10, 2013
Mr Troll: To be modest, i'll say 99% of them. Most definitely 100% of the Nigerian ones here. I know what i'm talking about Tex. Even i only read the bible through when i started having doubts. All through my adolescence and early adulthood i only read the bible during church programs, or with some themes in mind. Never cover to cover and definitely only the good parts.
Hmmm...I find this all fascinating really.

'Curiouser and curiouser'
Christianity EtcRe: Anambra Tragedy: God And Our Gross National Lunacy by texanomaly(f): 11:36am On Nov 10, 2013
Mr Troll: The thing tire me o. Where people are proud of their ignorance. Where people are too lazy to read anything more than 1 page long. Where people prefer to just swallow hook, line and sinker what their pastor says instead of actually reading the bible for themselves. . .

I'm telling you NONE of all these NL christians have actually read the bible cover to cover. Rinse and Repeat. All of them
. . .
You would be wrong.

kolokolobi: Ok. Don't see any flames. What if I told you I've made a turn over of 15m in my start up within the last 5 months without offering anything to nobody. But I said earlier in dealing from the top most times. Others are coming through referals.
I would say, that is great! I'm glad to hear that. It renews my faith in ethical standards making business successful. Thanks

aManFromMars: Gragra is nigerian slang for by force or violently.
Ah...that makes more sense.

@Suen
You are a funny guy sometimes.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Prayer More Effective When Constructed With Verbal Aesthetics? by texanomaly(f): 10:40am On Nov 10, 2013
Seun: Its not more effective, but it's less boring. People are less likely to sleep off during prayer when you do it gragraly.
OK I looked up the word gragraly in the dictionary. It's not there. What does it mean? What do you mean?

@ topic
Its sincerity that counts.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Many Americans Prefer Their Sundays Segregated - CNN by texanomaly(f): 10:31am On Nov 10, 2013
Logicboy03: Thanks for posting this!

The problem with christianity is one of racism right from the beginningf to the end

-xtianity started by jews for jews
-jews used religion to separate jewish servants from non jewish slaVes
-europeans who adopted christianity uses rthe religion to enslave and colonize other continents
-american white christians had black slaves who were pagan
-trhe americans and europeans justified slavery with the bible
-some black slaves usesd christianity to liberate themselves and some black churchjes were formed.
-some black churches had some resentment due to the segregation and racism faced from white people
-the mormon church was racist to blacks in ots early days, preachingf that black were cursed.

Is it now a wonder why there is racial animousity between whites and blacks in christianity? Can a freeman love a slave master?

Its no wonder xchristians in america tend to bé more. Racist than unbelievers.
Unfortunately, with attitudes like the bolded, we may never get beyond past racism. Stop continuing the the hate legacy. Slavery in America no longer exists. It has been generations sinse anyone owned a slave. Don't judge me by my forefathers. We can never get past it, and move on, if it is constantly thrown up in our faces. It amazes me when people cry 'equality' yet limit themselves by their own attitudes.

iafatok: @ texanomaly: There is no right way to do a wrong thing.
I agree. However, that does not answer my question. If corruption abounds, and nothing can be accomplished without greasing someone's palm, can success (financial success) be achieved, by someone who possess and practices these qualities?
BusinessRe: Integrity And Ethics: Foundations For Sucess In Business by texanomaly(f): 3:36am On Nov 10, 2013
With all the corruption, bribery and behind the scenes maneuvering that goes on in Nigeria, is it possible to be ethical and have integrity, and still run a successful business?
