MrDavidson:One cold beer for this wise gentleman ! You spoke my mind succinctly. |
PhockPhockMan:Yes, we remember vividly that during Jonathan's era, we made a trailer load of money from selling our oil at high prices. Unfortunately, the man wasted the money and allowed his cronies to steal. Even the ECA that was meant to be our buffer, GEJ allowed the Governors to bull him and Okonjo-Iweala into sharing it out. |
oyb:hehe, this is it, as far as phones is concerned. |
HsLBroker:No. I will not. |
Guys, I've got a 32GB Google Nexus 6 phone for sale. Brand new, sealed box. What of a man like this?

zzzzy:Nope. It has nothing to do with the OS. We're talking pure horsepower here, from the CPU and GPU. Benchmarks make it very clear that currently the Apple A9 is head and shoulders above the rest. This lead won't last, of course. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 that should show up in new android phones from Q2 2015 has a GPU that is faster than that in the A9. And Samsung is rumored to come out with another powerhouse for next year. I think the key thing to take away is, no matter which one you buy next year, you're guaranteed real power. Flagship phones next year should be able to pump out PS3 quality graphics. Best of all, these advances trickle down to even the mid-range Mediatek chipsets...so there will come a time when even cheap 15k phones can run anything out there without lagging |
xtervaganza:I'm not the one 'obsessing'. I posted objective information that is easily verifiable...and i've had to deal with ill informed fanboys like yourself since then. Thanks for the Freudian Slip, though. You may need to work on that obsession. ![]() |
Ahmeduana:I know Dele Sobowale. Hands down my favorite columnist for over a decade. I just don't agree with him this once. |
Nobody is lying about dasuki. The sheer scope of corruption seems incredulous , but then you remember this is Nigeria, and you see evidence where someone already admitted to receiving billions for political campaigns from the NSA. All these efforts at whitewashing won't sell. |
nkemjacob2:But you didn't vote for APC in the last elections Key differences so far? If we had been foolish enough to vote PDP, dasuki would have continued to share money, dieziani would not have cancer and NNPC would have continued to be an ATM for crooks. |
xtervaganza:And how is that relevant to this discussion? |
ShowYourCertificate:Several Oil companies are already carrying out exploration activities. Even if you invite multinationals, much of the time the Government provides part funding. Guess what activity you need to do to determine the presence and quantity of crude? Exploration. put aside partisan politics and focus on what is best for your country. |
zzzzy:Erm...I never said that. I said it's more powerful. You'd have to look at the whole package and consider your OS preference to decide which one is better for you 'Better' is largely subjective, and there are certainly many things that the s6 or s6 edge does better than the iPhone. |
By 2019, many of these PDP crooks will be in jail. |
Ellimist:I started using Android when many of you were still stuck with dumb phones. I was in there from the start with the G1, the first ever android phone in the world. Since 2008 or so I've used flagship android and ios phones. Anand tech aren't overrated. I doubt you even visit that site... Your arguments aren't nearly tech savvy enough for you to be a frequent visitor. If you weren't too lazy and scared to read that review and Chek out the detailed benchmarks, you see the 6s being compared to the 2015 android flagships and trouncing them all... Including the s6. Someone is providing objective facts, backed with benchmarks and you're wailing about 'ifanboyism'. Na wa |
4Play:Well, yes. It is common sense, and common wisdom to replace your reserves...if not, you'll dry up someday. Exploration is highly capital intensive, but there's a reason why no oil major is completely scrapping their exploration budgets even with the low oil price. There is some politics to these things, but it is a necessary expenditure. I would rather spend money on this than on the nearly useless amnesty program that gulps even more money. |
Guys, Selling my Galaxy Note 4, cleanly used, with the Gear VR Virtual reality goggles. Awesome combo, phone is clean, with no cracks. The Gear VR is great. bettercreature:It's way too much. $5000 per day is obscene! |
Oil is still our major earner, and our production will soon be on decline. From exploration to production can take YEARS, so now is the time to look for reserves to replace our depleted volumes...not waiting until oil price becomes more favorable. Let me be brutally honest here. All the people in this thread that have condemned the Government's exploration efforts are morons. |
richidinho:How won't you be tired ? Are you a taxpayer? |
olaolulazio:Egbon, wetin LASTMA do you? LOL ![]() |
bokoarerams:Give me details, please. We have to make sure she is expelled |
ollah1:CPU is more powerful. GPU is more powerful. Storage is faster. Abeg what else do you need to compare as a measurement of 'power'? I still wonder why some of you get so goddamn defensive when it comes to stuff like this. |
Senate approved a request from GEJ to borrow $1bn to buy arms to fight Boko Haram on 25th September 2014. By January 2015, why was GEJ improperly approving hundreds of millions of dollars from Abacha loot for additional 'security spending'? What effort did he make to ensure the initial $1bn we borrowed was used properly and judiciously? |
Ellimist:You actually called Anandtech a 'random tech blogger'? ![]() Thanks for confirming you know nothing about tech. Single, multi core, whatever, the 6s provides way better CPU performance than any SoC in its class, and its GPU is unmatched. Ellimist:You sure do enjoy moving goalposts, don't you? FYI, I use a 6S and a Galaxy Note 4. Been using Android from the start with the G1, and iOS from the start with the first gen iPhone. So you're preaching to the gallery here. |
smcotty:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/jape jape [jeyp] Spell Syllables Examples Word Origin verb (used without object), japed, japing. 1. to jest; joke; gibe. verb (used with object), japed, japing. 2. to mock or make fun of. 'Jape' is correct and apt, my dear buffoon. You may thank me for educating you. smcotty:Oh, but you are. If you were a grown man with kids of his own or even a mature adult, you'd know that news of a 5 year old being permanently blind in one eye is too tragic to joke around with. smcotty:Of course you're entitled to your own opinion. I'm merely providing feedback. Learn from this. |
smcotty:There are some things you should not jape about. What kind of child are you? |
Ellimist:Unlike in the last few years where the Note series used more powerful hardware than the S series, The Note 5 uses the exact same SoC as the S6 and S6 Edge. Performance wise, the S6 and the Note 5 are very similar, as a result. |
