Politics › Re: Fayose , Others Should Return To Elementary School – Minister Lai by texazzpete(m): 7:54am On Nov 17, 2015
Ajaoogbo:
Nigeria is really a joke! So you were accused of entering a contract that milks a whooping 1% of our revenue and all you could say was that the TSA has not got to the amount alleged and that people alleging should go back to Elementary school. Mr. Lai ,you should know that you're the mouthpiece of the government and it behooves on you to critically analyse any argument raised in favor or against any government policy. The era where you insult people in power as an opposition spokesperson has passed.

For the umpteenth time, the argument is that the percentage is too high and should be reduced to 0.1% as the volume of transaction expected to flow through it is huge. So take your premises from there!
The only joke here is your education and your seeming inability to process and analyse basic information.
This contract with Remita was signed and agreed during the GEJ administration. Joining Fayose to accuse this present Government of entering into a bad agreement is just plain silly.

Pretending like you don't know that the actual amount is extremely important is disingenuous at best

Lol

See people running around like headless chickens asking if Nigeria should be concerned. As if you were not there when Boko Haram swore allegiance to ISIS early this year.

This is what we came to under the previous clueless president. A rag tag militia riding on motorcycles were allowed the freedom to grow and grow into a Tank driving army that has since morphed into an ISIS offshoot. All thanks to the thoroughly inept response from GEJ and his compromised army leadership.

This was, perhaps, the biggest transformation of the past presidency. And it is the biggest challenge Buhari needs to fix ASAP.

The Niger Delta is not under-developed because of 'parasitic Northerners'. It is under-developed because for some reason, Kleptocratic crooks keep getting elected as their leaders.
The money flowing to the likes of Bayelsa, Rivers, delta and Akwa Ibom is more than enough to have massively improved those states. Alas, the people choose to celebrate crooks like Alams who steal them blind.

As we speak, they are already preparing for welcome party for James Ibori, even as he serves out a jail term for mismanaging state resources

PointB:
This just about summarised the article.

The duara dullard is aka Baba Go-Slow.

He's slowness in thinking, and acting exacerbate the situation, now he has to do catch up.

However one thing the Forbes article failed to mention is the much touted talk of diversifying the economy. One would have thought that attention and effort would be given to the agricultural ministry in the form of an energetic and dynamic minister like the last occupant of that very strategic ministry. But what do we have? A 68 old career politician - Audu Ogbeh! undecided
Ah, I remember you. One of those "GEJ until 2019" wailers. I would have loved to enquire how you're handling defeat, but the sheer bitterness in your post is enough to give me an answer.

Amaechi must be surely disappointed..he was dreaming thr Niger Delta ministry..a day aftet Amaechi was screened, an announcement was made in Port Harcourt that the Niger Delta ministry wpuld construct two flyover bridges on the East West road at Rumuokoro and Tank.
Those two locations mentioned for the fyovers were initially proposed by Amaechi as governor but failed to commence construction due to shortage of funds arising from his political battles..in essence, he was very certain of ND ministry...i feel for him now.
BWAHAHAHAHA. Is this a joke post?
Minister of Transportation >>>>> Niger Delta Minister. By FAR. As in, there's no comparison whatsoever. It's like saying someone who was made a Governor is disappointed not to be a local government chairman. Haba!

Same goes for those talking about Fayemi. This is a golden opportunity to shine in Nigeria. It has far more potential for political rejuvenation than the foreign affairs ministry. Gbawe has it right here. We're trying to diversify here...just harnessing coal in Enugu alone will create lots of jobs in the SE region alone.

So there is no need for ministers in all ministries den, the perm secetaries should be in charge. To say the truth! Appointment of these ministers will not change anything magnimally. The hype is just too much! By December next year. I know this statement I made now, I will be vindicated.

Nigerians should buckle up and pick up their hustling shoes. The country is gonna be harder for the common man in the coming months.
God give us the grace to pull through.

How is this a reprieve? The BVN is an ongoing exercise and the CBN has said that time and again. Reading the headline made me think they had lifted the restriction on accounts for a while longer - very misleading title.
I agree. Very poor headline

As before, all accounts with no BVN remain locked for transactions until registration is done. Nothing has changed from that

The following ministries are no longer standalone

Police Affairs, Aviation,Culture & Tourism, Housing, Sports & Youth

Impressive. This will reduce running costs...exactly the type of change we voted for.

We want analysis of how many southerners and how many northerners. All I know is that Buhari can NEVER give any sensitive position to a Southerner, even a Southerner Muslim.

You don't need any analysis. All you have to know is that every state is represented. It's not rocket science.
