See what i always tell all those brainless people from the ND that come here and praise the MEND criminals? While you people remain stuck in your poverty, ask yourselves how Tompolo came up with the $103 million to invest in this business. That's 16.4 billion naira. ignorant children whining "it is their oil" and "they are fighting a just battle". Pathetic ![]() |
nwani oma: With Circuit Atlantic you get to order for the exact specification you want.Don't be daft. I made my comment with respect to the ad posted by CA on a 3G Vita. I made no claims about the operating principles or the merits or demerits of ordering from CA. Save your outrage for another person. All I've done is to point out that purchasing a 3G Vita from the US is a poisoned chalice. |
Leopantro: i don't care if it was assemblied in nigeria with parts that where imported from God knows where, the bottom line that we have an android tablet made in nigeria.and bone what you say, that it got good reviews from Gigaom and Slashgear in the tech world is enough testimonal for it sales. i admit, with a RAM of 256MB, a processor speed of 800Mhz and android 2.1,it is well below par but it is thr FIRST of its kind in Nigeria so i would support the guy in anyway possible. there is a hot market for tablets and if you can not afford to buy an ipad (which most nigerians can't)any tablet would be appreciated (most people don't even use a tablet effectively).i hope to see better products from the guy1) The tablet was NOT assembled in Nigeria. Were all our previous words lost on you? I shall not be blamed if you have difficulty understanding written English 2) The tablet has not been reviewed by Slashgear or GigaOM. Where did you get that idea from? 3) You claim it is 'well below par' yet you urge people to go and buy it? Weird. 4) There IS a way you can support it. Buy the bloody tablet and post your review here for us to see. 5) A tablet costing 50K is NOT affordable to most Nigerians. A new 16GB Blackberry Playbook costs N45k in Ikeja. That's cheaper and a better value. |
This is Nigeria where Stoopid solutions as the order of the day. As someone said, it would be far more sensible for JAMB to print papers with larger fonts than to add a whole 2 hours to someone's exam time. Adding that large amount of time confers an unfair advantage on those affected. Will JAMB now proceed to compel universities to automatically add more time to exams throughout their education? |
Mr man....I hate it when people talk with so much confidence when they don't know crap....who told you it runs 2.2? Yes there's an earlier version running 2.2 but the one premiered on cnn runs android 3.0.....look man,the specs aren't over the top but they are very very cool & the tab itself is price-friendly for people who aren't really inclined towards supersonic specs. By the way,it's the vision behind the whole project & company I'm really happy for,I'm proud of the guy who's just 28 years old by the way. You don't expect an Apple rating equivalent just yet do you? Don't be a kid,you & I know that capital & funds aren't always there to kickstart projects so typically you start small & keep growing big. 2face wasn't a superstar when he started singing,he grew into that, same with d'banj, same with Kanu, same with Okocha, etc ....Bill Gates & Steve Jobs weren't millionaires running multi-billion dollar companies in just 1 day,but they grew into that. Anyday, any time, I would support this guy & any Nigerian product like this with whatever I can. Give these guys a few years & by the Grace of God they would be making us proud to be Nigerians. At least check their website & facebook pages & you see more that these guys are guys with a vision. http://enciphergroup.com/ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Encipher-Limited/167738839926818?id=167738839926818&_rdr
The specs on their website clearly say Android 2.2. I'd take that over the word of a paid company rep like yourself. The 'we have to start somewhere' argument is fit only for m0r0ns. This tablet was NOT made or assembled in Nigeria. But why are we arguing? There has been an Inye tablet on the shelves for a while now. Since you're so much in love with the idea, where is your own copy? DO an unboxing and review video for us let us see. |
Tundeobash: This is cheering news. The government and other well meaning Nigerians should rise up to encourage and support this young inventor. This is our first and it should be celebrated. I look forward to a day that it will be available on supermarket shelves. It's already available on supermarket shelves. Go and buy it if you will. unlike many of you folk here, I work damn hard for my money and I will purchase the best value for my money. |
Soundmind: I will vote Gov Babangida Aliyu of Niger StateWhy don't you spend more time with your studies? I knew there was no 'r' in ugly even way back in JSS1. All the money spent on your education and you're still spelling 'ugliest' as 'urgliest'. |
Catlanta: ^^^hmmm horrible dealI was selling a Wifi Vita at cost price + 5K for 65k since I bought mine from the EU. Prices are much higher over there. Were you blind when i provided the price breakdown for him? You on the other hand have no excuse. You're selling a Vita from the US and you should get him as good a deal as possible. At least with a Wifi Vita the client knows what he's paying for. Your initial advert for a 3G vita could have misled him into paying for a useless feature. Just post your ad for a Wifi vita before you get yourself in trouble with your clients. |
queensmith: But this is an andrid tab? I'd assume it will perform better than the ones you mentioned, it's linked to google which probably has the largest marketplace (or app store or whatever its called lol)it's not about the software only, the hardware matters also. Tablets from established manufacturers like Samsung, HP and RIM will have more polished implementation of the software, far better hardware build quality and provide updates for a while. That's more than you can say for this cheap chinese clone. |
Stop talking trash man.....the new one which was premiered on cnn runs android 3.0
Stop talking trash, m0r0n. On encipher's website the specs are listed there for their Inye 2 tablet. http://enciphergroup.com/2011/05/inye-2-specs-pictures/ it runs Android 2.2... |
Cnn just premiered a newly made android OS tablet that's made here in Nigeria by one of our own______his name is Saheed Adepoju & the name of the tablet line is "Inye" (meaning "first" in one of our Nigerian languages). I am honest that the cnn reporters were really very excited about this product & they could hardly hide that fact. They asked about how Nigerian people were reacting or relating to the new product & they were really disappointed to find out that there's a stereotypical illness of Nigerians not patronizing our own made products which I also see as "a very bad culture." I'M TIRED OF WE BLACKS & AFRICANS BEING THE WHITE MAN'S SLAVE,I'M TIRED OF US BEING THE WHITE MAN'S BI*T*CH...I'M TIRED OF US BEING THE PUSH-OVERS,BEING THE SIDE-LINED ONES,THE ONES WHO CAN'T EVEN MAKE THE CLOTHES THAT WE WEAR,I'M TIRED OF US BEING THE ONES THAT DON'T HAVE A GLOBAL VOICE COS WE DON'T MAKE ANYTHING IN OUR COUNTRIES.....Everything starts from somewhere & little drops of water makes a mighty ocean, never despise little beginnings, let's support our people & show some love, in no time by the Grace of God we'd have several Nigerians competing against each other in such fields & Nigerian products would be competing globally against known names like Apple,HTC,Samsung,Toyota,Mercedes-Benz,Honda etc.....
The 'inye' tablet is just a rebadge of a generic chinese clone tablet that people like you are trying to trick unsuspecting folks that its a 'Nigerian tablet'. it's the usual underpowered, cheap chinese crap...you deserve a hefty slap for trying to pull this m0r0nic guilt trip of being the 'white man's bitch' over a crapware tablet. Nigerians will only be free when they realize their own consumer rights and power. Anyone who works hard for a living deserves the right to be allowed to spend his/her money on the best value for money...and a rebadged Chinese tablet running Android 2.2 on a slow 1GHz CPU is not value for money at 50K. @stpat1 you work for Encipher group, don't you? @Fhemmy i'd be incensed if my tax money was being spend on supporting private individuals. |
Catlanta: Why Not buy directly from the US place your order through circuit atlantic today. Its even one of our recommended deals of the day. This is a horrible deal. Not only is buying a 3G Vita not really a very sensible thing to do (you cannot play online via 3G, web browsing is way inferior to the experience on any modern smartphone, 3G cuts battery life to 3 hours), the 3G Vita is locked to AT&T in the US. Anyone paying extra for a 3G vita should NOT buy it from the US. |
A helicopter may have developed a technical malfunction in flight...that should not be construed as being 'faulty' (which implies a known fault). It should not also be construed as being an inherently 'nigerian' thing. American F-22s have developed malfunctions in air. Space Shuttle challenger exploded seconds after take off. A state of the art Air France plane went down off the coast of Brazil after the plane stalled. The reason was a faulty air-speed indicator. Let's step away from this knee-jerk criticism until we have FACTS to back them up. |
kewell joseph: Tanx men, actually i dn't look 4ward in buying d 3G version of d ps vita.I think gaming is my main priority and not browsing when it cums 2 handheld consoles and moreover we are in nigeria where d browsing network sucks.Pls do u have any idea as in what d 32gb memory cards cost in nigeria because i'm planning 2 buy my ps vita next month and i want 2 knw wat i'm getting in,tanx alot 'n' i'm xpecting ur' reply. The 32GB memory card is close to $100 in the US. I'd expect it to be around 20k in Naija. I've got the 16GB version and it's ok. All you need to do is download the Content Manager for your PC. with that you can backup your games on your PC so when u finish a game you can copy it to your pc for archive purposes, delete it from the Vita and use the freed up space to download more games. |
Grizz: Why sell your vita? you can't have had it for more than a month or so. . .I've got another one... |
naijaking1: ^^^I am filled with the utmost respect for you after reading this. Even with your differences with Sanusi and his management style, you will not descend into the gutter like the OP has done. We have had many differences in the past (and harsh words have been exchanged) but there is no mistaking common sense. Well done. |
Bottom line, the Nigerian Army/air force is in pathetic shape with old, outdated and inferior technology. As a fighting force, we are WELL below the Egyptians and not nearly as well equipped as the South Africans. |

@Beaf and @Ekt_bear I don't know why you guys are wasting time arguing with these simpletons. Perhaps it's for humanitarian reasons? Either way, these jackasses that are falling over themselves to crow about this man's fraudulent claims are a testament to the rot in our educational system in Nigeria. This bittyend fellow has so far shamefully refused to be rescued from the shackles of ignorance. It's a pity. I support Beaf on this one...this Erinle fellow ought to be given the cold shoulder from everyone. Nigeria is awash with people who pop up with spurious claims of 'inventions' and 'miraculous cures'. Every single one employs the same modus operandi of finding a way to blame the Government for their 'lack of recognition'. They always moan to the press about 'lack of government support' and nitwits like bittyend swallow it up eagerly. When will Nigerians realise that breakthrough inventions sell themselves? If someone has a cure for HIV, he does NOT need Government support. If someone manages to circumvent the laws of physics and invents a perpetual motion device, he will not need the Government! The other day on the TV i watched one of those quack herbal doctors show off a machine that he 'invented' that supposedly 'extracts all the toxins from the blood' by massaging your feet. Simpletons like bittyend are the dumbasses keeping these quacks in business. |
So it's confirmed then...the OP Nchara is a bloody m0r0n. At least Beaf was smart enough to shut his trap after his initial gaffe ![]() |
ndidibabe: What is really wrong with my husband? I am Ibo and he is Yoruba. Before we got married, he talked so much about how beautiful (light skinned), intelligent, hardworking ibo ladies are. He also said an average Ibo lady knows how prepare good delicacies. He loves me and that was the reason i married him not minding our ethnic differences. After 14 months of marriage, i can say his love for me is still intact but the problem is that he is fond of calling me Sinmisola, a name i do not like. I asked him the meaning of the name and he said 'rest in wealth'. What sort of stupid name is that? I didn't marry him because i want rest in his wealth! Besides, it is not that he is wealthy, so why the name? Now, his parents too call me Sinmisola. He told me to do a change of name to Sinmisola + his surname. His Surname, Yes but why should i change my first name. Isn't he the yoruba man that love Ibo ladies so much to the extent of marrying one them? Why does he hate my Ibo name? I asked him why he wants my name changed and he said he just love it that way. I am not going to take this from him but i need mature people (married) to advice me on how to resolve this issue wisely. From the way you're fuming over this storm in a teacup, I wonder if your husband isn't the one getting a raw deal inside this marriage. You admit you know he still loves you very much yet here you are flinging words like 'I am not going to take this from him' and 'why does he hate my name so much'. The first few paragraphs were all about how much he loves you and nothing at all about how you felt for him. All you could say was that you married him because he loves you. Minus the flaky insistence on calling you by a pet name you don't like, i really feel sorry for your husband! |
Goldieluks:Aren't you the condescending m0r0n who stated that his househelp was 'dirty and smelly' just because of her profession? |
musKeeto:Disappoints?! Are you folks on crack? This is the most powerful tablet in the world right now, more powerful than even anything announced at CES/MWC that has not even been released. Na wa for you fandroids sha. |
beespak7:This exact same tragedy happened with BP off the coast of the US. So that was BP 'trying rubbish' abi? |
payless:No. I think you're a m0r0n who cannot come up with an intelligent response to save his life. official exchange rate figures of between N150 - 163 have been far more prevalent than the short-lived period when the exchange rate soared to around N180. Certainly the current exchange rate is far closer to the N160 range i posted than the N100 you posted in an attempt to justify your imbecilic argument. Considering the fact that I purchased a 2009 Toyota Venza from Inspired 7 months ago, I hardly think I can be called an 'armchair critic'. |
Gideonyte:yes, use the US as an example. Why not Siberia for example? All the massive oil and gas accumulations in Siberia yet the resource volumes are understood to belong to the whole of Russia. Bottom line is, it makes zero sense for any oil company to relocate back to the ND when everyday one poorly educated tout will come out in the name of MEND and threaten 'Operation Hurricane', a plan to burn down oil facilities and kidnap staff. |
elewele100:Use your brains, dummy. Using a stock photo (for want of an actual photo of the accident) does not make the story false. In the source article the photo is clearly labelled 'accident scene' not 'Potiskum accident scene'. |
asorocker:And it's only in Nigeria where a terrorist body posts weekly threats to bomb, destroy and burn down oil companies and STILL people exhort these same companies to increase their risk profile by building more and more facilities in the troubled region. It's also only in Nigeria where the meaning of the word 'amnesty' has been bastardised like this. Usually amnesty is given to repentant criminals who understand that they have been given a second chance by their governments to live a straight life without reprisal for their past misdeeds. In Nigeria the Amnesty program sucks tens of billions of taxpayers money, rewards people who took up arms against their society and is used as a tool of blackmail. Imagine someone given amnesty demanding for appeasement to stay away from their prior vices. Nonsense! |
payless:Please come up with more intelligent responses in the future, the exchange rate has now hovered around N150 - 160 for 2 years now. That cannot now be used as an excuse! |
