Have you done the unlock yet? What's the current firmware version of the iPhone? |
@Carlos That has to be the ugliest website i ever laid my eyes on. REDESIGN!!! |
I'll try and provide a link to the iPhone unlock guide. But for games, check out toucharcade.com for a listing of top iphone games. |
Infoseye:You can install Bluetooth and MMS apps on the iPhone Infoseye:Yes, you can install appllications and games on the iPhone. No Operamini, though. That's probably why Honsule warned you off it. Infoseye:More cool stuff than the N95 ![]() For the unlock procedure, go to http://www.iclarified.com for tutorials. |
@wirinet Yeah, but you threw in oil companies etc along with banks as an example of 'administrative work'. That's wrong. |
there you go. 1. the people copy the govt who regular do this everyday.
Not many Government vehicles drive down that road, bro. and you haven't explained why the people copy the Government and not their fellow men who do the right thing. Even if the people are merely copying the Government, they are thus both guilty of the same crime.
2. did govt provide proper process for driver-license and driver training?
EVERYONE driving against traffic knows that it's against the law. Driver licence certification thus have nothing to do with it. Even with elaborate certification processes, it is typically the people who issue such licenses that cut corners for a bribe.
3. did govt provide other forms of transport so everybody do not have to drive?
Yes. There are commercial vehicles in my city. Plenty of them, too. And they are often to be found among the offenders.
4. are there street address to track a car plate number to owner in case you need to be punished?
So we need punishment before Nigerians know that they are doing something wrong? Who will take plate numbers down? The same undermanned police force that we complain are inadequately staffed to fight crime? |
Lagosboy:This is a disapointingly daft comment. Thousands of Nigerians lost over N160 billion as a result of this scandal. Most of these people are innocent, God-fearing Nigerians going about their normal business. I don't care if it's Femi Otedola or whatever, someone has to pay for this shit. Otedola isn't the only one suffering this. Please learn to focus on the important things. |
There's something really entertaining about the new, aggressive Kobojunkie. I got a kick out of being called 'supposedly intelligent' the other day .4 Play:EXACTLY!! Sad thing is, someone will bring this up someday on Nairaland as an example of how Nigeria does not reward 'inventors'. There are still many people here who stubbornly defend that charlatan who claimed he could cure AIDS. wirinet:Working in offices also helps the country. You think bank workers aren't doing their bit to boost the economy? Abeg no belittle those of us wey dey work o! |
common, you surely must be dreaming. where are they taught in Nigeria how to do first-aid. You dont get it.
Does anyone need to be taught before they can do some sort of first aid? Doesn't everyone know how to attempt to stop bleeding? or if you see someone choking, doesn't native intelligence tell us to loosen tight clothing or to provide enough air for breathing? You cannot make an assumption based on limited facts. How do you know that some people there had not had some form of basic first aid training? I myself have had some first aid training in the past. All we know is that people (ordinary Nigerians, not leaders) saw a dying person and were too lily-livered to do anything about it.
Dont touch injured or dying person before you accused of using JUJU.
This shows why my argument is needed. What is the point moaning about the number of road accidents and the quality of roads when ordinary Nigerians are unwilling to do their bit to prevent casualties? This accusation of Juju, where does it come from? our leaders? That's why i used the term 'courage'. When you weigh whatever trials you may face with the fact that you may have just saved the life of a breadwinner/mother/grandmother, what comes tops? |
PeeDaVinci:EXACTLY! On the way to my office this morning, the roads were blocked with vehicles. People has formed 4 lanes on a 2-lane road, blocking oncoming traffic and making the situation extremely chaotic. Why argue that the Government must build more roads and bridges whereas the existing ones are rendered impassable due to the actions of stupid and impatient Nigerians? As a tax payer, i easily blame NEPA for not providing power. At the same time i'd be silly not to blame the millions of Nigerians that do not pay NEPA bills, that rely on illegal connections to tap electricity. I also will heap a hefty portion of the blame on those millitants that routinely blow up gas pipelines, reducing the feedstock to our gas powered generating plants. And these are ordinary Nigerians, not our 'leaders'. |
spikedcylinder:My point exactly! She may well have been saved if ordinary Nigerians could have had the courage to perform basic first aid. |
georgecso:I said 'pointing fingers at the Government ALONE' That should tell you that the Govt bears a lot of the blame for fuel queues in Nigeria, but not ALL the blame! |
georgecso:Are they that many people queuing up for Visas to the US/UK in those countries? Are there that many scammers and fraudsters trying to forge visa documents in those countries? |
georgecso:Did i ever tell you that our leaders are not to blame for some fuel scarcity? however, the striking tanker drivers and the fuel marketers that hoard petrol, are they our leaders also? |
georgecso:Kindly point out where i made the above statement. Where did i absolve the government of all blame? I said there would be long queues where goods are scarce. Scarcity of fuel is not new in Nigeria. There's no scarcity of refined petroleum products in the countries you mentioned, hence no queues. The main point of your article is that someone died. That person could easily have died anywhere else as it's very she lacked fitness. However, it's pertinent to note that she may not have died if people around had helped her. if she had died while in a visa queue, what would you have blamed? |
And i think you've missed my point. There aren't always fuel queues, but Nigerians are always afraid to help out even in life and death situations. I'm not trying to gloss over fuel queues, or gloss over the fact that there is massive scope for improvement. However it is VERY important to point out gaps in the Nigerian psyche, especially since we delight in always pointing accusing fingers at the Government alone. Macteejay2:because we do not combust crude oil in our Internal Combustion engines. ![]()
you missed the point. if they help, Police(which is control by the 'bad' leaders) would say you kill the woman. one of the reasons why we dont have good samaritans anymore.
When the end result may be saving a human being's life, isn't it worth it to be quizzed by the police? Why would you be accused of killing the woman if her life is saved? Many Nigerians leave gravely injured accident victims that can be saved by the roadside simply because of lack of personal courage! The message i wanted to extract was that so often, we fail to do our part. femzy:Easy on the insults, friend. There's no point in riling me up ![]() |
@georgecso You extracted the wrong lesson from that article. There will ALWAYS be queues wherever there are scarce goods. The main message is this: georgecso:Stop talking about leaders all the time. Why could no one screw up the courage to help a fellow human being in a life and death situation? |
mikeansy:It will do you good to take time to read before responding. I was careful to say 'alleged' crime, and all i accuse you guys of doing is ignoring this fact. Lexyoghene:That's where Nigerians get things wrong. No one wants to know if Nixon got some things right. All the world remembers is Watergate, and rightly so. If Soludo has been indicted for something illegal, why should past achievements shield him from justice? Please take time to let that last sentence swirl though your head. Why should achievement shield anyone from justice? |
See all the hypocrites here shamelessly ignoring an alleged serious crime only because the man has 'done well'. In that same vein, why do we even criticise Obasanjo for anything? Afterall, he brought GSM to Nigeria so he did well. . . ![]() |
TOYOSI20:No. Since 1990 could easily mean they were in Liberia until 2007 ![]() |
TOYOSI20:No. Since 1990 could easily mean they were in Liberia until 2007 ![]() |
IFELEKE:This describes so many people in power in Nigeria. The corrupt policemen that are made to remit checkpoint money to their superiors, the customs officials who are made to do the same, the PDP bigwigs we love to bash, the Senators who supported Obasanjo's third term agenda etc. So why place Dora on a higher pedestal than all others if all she's been reduced to is doing the dirty work for the PDP? |
I had lost any respect for Akinyuli after her incredibly STUPID analogies in comparing Nigeria with other industrialized nations in the world. For a Professor to insist that Nigeria is still better than South Africa because the SA president had sex with a prostitute, you've got to be kidding! Kobojunkie can be inconsistent at times, taking sharp digs at Nigerians who praise Governors when they do what they are supposed to have done in the first place, yet joining in the ranks of Dora's passionate defenders even when it cannot be proved that she did anything above the call of duty. |
udezue: udezue:Why stubbornly cling to a faded dream that has no chance of being a reality? |
@hayprof Rent expires November. I'm getting outta there ASAP. |
I had the bad luck to rent a flat in an area with abysmal network coverage. MTN 3G turns to GPRS there. Ditto for Glo 3G. Direct on PC no signal. Same for Hyperia. The iPnx agent tried everything to get her modem to see network, e no gree. I'm currently managing this pathetic Starcomms iZap. Damn thing is still as slow as molasses. |
you can grab an Asus G50vt for about $1100. Comes with a decent 2.26 Ghz processor and an Nvidia geforce 9800M GPU. Runs modern games pretty well. . . For the highest specced notebooks, you may wanna check www.sagernotebook.com and select one of their seriously powerful rigs. A good configuration will only set you back by around $1700. And that includes a 2.6 Ghz cpu, 320GB 7200 rpm HDD, 512MB Nvidia Geforce 260M GPU |
@turawafett I can see that you mean well, so apologies for calling you can idiot. However, even though your heart is in the right place, you must see that you're only giving the OP false hope by insisting his problem will certainly be solved by downgrading and jailbreaking. it won't. @OP Apparently some *SIM solutions work on 2.2.1, you might be best served trying out that angle. |
turawafett: turawafett:He needs an unlock, not a jailbreak, idiot. And for the love of mike, it's 'firmware' not 'filmware'. turawafett:How many of the people who replied the OP have demanded for money? |
Nigerians and their love for conspiracy theories. Has this onikoyi chap made any attempt to review the work of other winners before insinuating that they are unworthy? |
as Logica said, it's shocking that you went ahead to update despite all the warnings against that. As it stands, take Logica's advice as the only slim chance you have at the moment. |
