gReenmAn:No. That's poor deductive reasoning on your part. Central America has been infamous for armed revolution, insurgency and counter insurgency in the past. Most of these actions have had career army officer in the starring role. Now since a large amount of these officers have been trained in Fort Benning, the odds are you'll find Fort Benning graduates implicated in many of these human rights violation cases. |
gReenmAn:Don't be naive. What are the odds that thousands of career army officers from South and Central American countries would be trained in a school and many of them would not turn out to be coup plotters/tyrants? |
Now, this is truly amusing. Someone spins a tale in which he alleges that people are being trained to 'fight lions barehanded and battle with crocodiles' and you people are here wondering if the guy is credible. There are hundreds of books written by ex SAS and US Navy SEAL commandos. all of them provide an expose on the tough physical training they receive. And NONE of them spend any time battling crocodiles or lions. Yet all these men retain their physique long into retirement. One look at the portly Abacha, and you get the feeling that this man is just pulling out this info from his ass. As to a journalist blackmailing a millitary head of state, i leave you to judge the plausibility of that tale. |
It has a hard disk inside, and it definitely has to have a mass storage mode for its multimedia features. Once the piracy breakthrough begins, it will be no more secure than the existing models. The sole reason for this is a last desperate attempt by Sony to challenge the supremacy of the Nintendo DS handheld, compete for the lucrative multimedia market and try and combat the strong challenge from Apple's Ipod Touch and iPhone handhelds, which have strongly come into their own in t he past couple of months. ElRazur:This has been Sony's strategy since 2005. it hasn't worked one bit. ElRazur:sony is asking me and every other consumer to buy this handheld. As long as i have the means and i fit in the demographic Sony is after, my patronage (and that of millions of others worldwide) are being sought. And like many others who have seen this, i'm underwhelmed. ElRazur:It's called gauging the market. The vast majority of people responding to this have been underwhelmed, especially with respect to the price. When Engadget, CNET, Gizmodo et al react so negatively to the price, you've got the idea. There's a HUGE used games market in the US and Europe. It's worth billions of dollars yearly. I've you've been to Europe or the US in recent times you'd see the growing number of used games shops and the expanding sections for used games. To cut things short, you cannot buy second hand PSP Go games, you cannot trade in used PSP Go games and you cannot sell off your used PSP Go games. For millions of consumers, that's a downer. ElRazur:I'll go out on a limb and say you've never been involved in marketing before. it's a funny thing that i've only ever heard this 'no-one is forcing you' phrase from Nigerians, a people that are perhaps the least informed about consumer rights in the world .I sincerely doubt any Sony rep would make this kind of statement. |
I will pay N1000000 to anyone who kills the original poster, enziga. There are too many fools in the world. I'll gladly pay the sum to rid nigeria of this retard. |
lol Only a brain dead manatee would believe that the PS3 Cell can come close to matching a Core i7 processor. Funniest thing i've heard all year. |
@ElRazur no matter how much you try to polish a lump of shit, it's still shit. For more money than the normal PSP ($249) you get a smaller screen and an uglier design, incompatibility with all physical media released on UMD so far and no 2nd analog stick. On this PSP, there's no way to resell old games or trade or exchange games. That is an Epic FAIL right there, my friend. |
Obalende:What most people don't know is that the vast majority of Vista users are happy with the switch. The system requirements for Vista are higher than that of XP (naturally), but as soon as you can meet or exceed the recommended specs, all should be well. From rigorous benchmarks, Vista SP1 gives a performance similar to XP. There's also the added layer of security and stability built into Vista. Vista is a prime example of an OS that has failed to shake off a bad name that was unfairly attributed to it early on. That's all. It's by no means a bad OS. PS: It's really silly to call Office 2007 'crap' compared to 2003. It's significantly enhanced in every way. I mean, i myself dislike the new 'ribbon' interface, but the suite itself is solid. |
biina:So why were all the 'corrections' all increases? and why irregular increases? No matter. The easy way will be to take some scripts at random and manually mark them to ensure accuracy. |
It's ugly as hell. 90% of commenters on Engadget and Gizmodo agree with me. The screen's smaller, and they missed out on a golden chance to add dual analog sticks. Meh. |
Chuckdee:Not really. Everything is on a price-to-performance ratio, so a higher HDD size you'll likely not fill up will cost extra money you can spend elsewhere. I have a 60GB PS3 with less than 30GB in use. The PS3 doesn't upscale movie files, so it isn't of much use as a DivX player if you have alternatives. |
This is a terrible bill indeed. Why should students' progress be tied to mastery of a non-national language, considering the fact that all entrances to higher institution is done based on common criteria of Maths, English and several other subjects relevant to the person's choice of specialization? Does this mean that non-igbos studying in such schools are in effect forced to master the language or be drummed out? Any bill that seeks to impose a financial levy as punishment to young school kids who fail exams must be opposed. unless, of course, the Anambra house is the one taking care of the child's school fees. |
Chuckdee:Since when did HDD size become the yardstick by which a gamer's seriousness is measured? ![]() Is the 360 NTSC or PAL? It ain't region free, ya know. |
Tornadoz:Ah. My old adversary Tornadoz makes an appearance on cue. Sadly it seems your long absence has not improved your intellect one bit. US bases are strictly on invitation, and they have no foothold once the host nation decides they are unwelcome. Selling lands or leasing lands for 99 years to the Chinese is a permanent loss of resources. Permanent vs Temporary is a concept even a retarded dolt like yourself should understand. As i've said one million times on this forum, i see no reason why you would judge someone based on his/her username and not opinions. Perhaps - as i strongly suspect - you know deep down you cannot counter logic with your particular brand of foolish babble? No matter. Texazzpete was derived from Texaspete, the baddie in the SuperTed series. When i stated this before, were you blind? I've always considered you to be a foolish, long winded bore. Thanks for showing me you're irredeemable. |
Yep! The online buzz is VERY favourable towards Windows 7 and Microsoft these days. It's perhaps the most stable beta i've ever tested. Best of all, Win 7 runs perfectly on Netbooks!! |
Funny that we treat our millitary with so much disdain. I hope when we do fight our next war, all you intelligent people volunteer to go fight the battles for us. As a somewhat patriotic Nigeria, given the choice of our millitary and the thieving dogs called millitants, It's clear who gets my backing. |
No2Atheism:What do we focus on, what's actually on ground or mere conjecture? Read this http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23517837-details/How+China's+taking+over+Africa,+and+why+the+West+should+be+VERY+worried/article.do No2Atheism:What has this got to do with colonisation? The 'mound builders' - if they ever really existed - had long since died out before Columbus set foot in America No2Atheism:It would be a good idea to visit dictionary.com and check for the difference between facts and conjecture. The US army is already severely stretched by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why would it be possible to declare war on even more countries? Here's an example of a fact: Even with the incessant piracy off the coast of Somalia, and despite some suggestions to move some troops ashore to combat the pirates, the US administration has shied off that plan. Does that fit into the mould you're trying to suggest? No2Atheism:As long as they are welcomed by the host nation and have something to gain, why should they? Why should any country, for that matter? No2Atheism:Hah. what did the US have to gain from their participation in Somalia in the '90s? How much money and oil did they gain from the NATO war with Milosevic, in which the US was the chief sponsor and participant? And you really don't know that The US donated a significant amount of materiel to the ECOMOG forces during the Liberian conflict? No2Atheism:So why are we letting China buy up our land and oil prospects? No2Atheism:Now i know the level of intelligence and literacy of the person i'm discussing with. If you truly believe the text in bold, then you need to do a whole lot more reading and research. Sorry to be so brutally blunt, but that statement is inexcusable.

|
While people like Horus are desperately searching for boogeymen from the West, China is buying up thousands of acres of African land to convert to farms for the sole purpose of feeding the Chinese. That's Arable african soil gone forever. Add to that the insatiable grab for oil prospects and you can easily see where the real threat is coming from. |
tboy1:What's your price? Any contact number i can reach you on? |
@Infoseye/Coolnaira You disappoint me greatly. All i did was to ask you if you were using a 3g iPhone now, since the speeds you're quoting are not technically possible for EDGE/GPRS. Just in case you need further confirmation, Wikipedia says http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPRS The maximum speed of a GPRS connection offered in 2003 was similar to a modem connection in an analog wire telephone network, about 32-40 kbit/s, depending on the phone used. Latency is very high; round-trip time (RTT) is typically about 600-700 ms and often reaches 1 s. GPRS is typically prioritized lower than speech, and thus the quality of connection varies greatly. and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDGE EDGE can carry data speeds up to 236.8 kbit/s (with end-to-end latency of less than 150 ms) for 4 timeslots (theoretical maximum is 473.6 kbit/s for 8 timeslots) in packet mode No one here has accused you of lying, instead we all assumed you may have been mistaken. Why the histronics, then? I find your comments about knowledge sharing for cash very puzzling. As far as i know, unlike the larger Phone section, none of the foremost iPhone exponents (myself, logica, Ex, lungwun, cabali etc) are hungry students or people who are so desperate for dough that we extort hapless individuals for a pittance. Perhaps you'd appreciate why i find your 'waste of time' comment rather ironic. I just spent 30 mins this morning plus one of my precious Verbatim Dual Layer DVDs (which i bought from piccadily circus strictly for copying Xbox 360 games after scouring innumerable internet forums) to burn all my ipa apps for you. And i've never met you before. What's done is done. Send me your details via SMS today and i'll send the disc to you, then i can draw curtains on this chapter. In the future, however, you may want to read carefully and understand before replying. As i said before, you disappoint me greatly. |
LOl. These dumbos don't realize that ALMOST EVERYTHING In Nigeria is heavily dependent on oil sales. Even our electricity generation is largely from gas turbines. Once the harsh realities set in, all these childish comments will be replaced by sorrow, regret and despair. |
@Jakumo When you think 'creeks', stop visualizing the twisted jungles of Vietnam. There are lots of open spaces the Navy can easily exploit, plus they have unchalleged air superiority. The Millitants rely on surprise attacks and ambushes in numbers with speedboats. Once their camps are destroyed and the millitants dispersed, their ability as a credible fighting force will take a serious beating. All the Navy has to do is starve them. Cut off their crude oil buyers, stop the state Governments from giving them 'peace' money and then make sure they kill as many of the millitants as possible to reduce their ranks. That'll do the trick. Going through the forum, i'm shocked how people exhibit this much lack of patriotism. If a critical eye is cast on MEND, what have they to show for their struggle except to further retard development, create far more insecurity in the Delta and - HORROR OF HORRORS - to open the Pandora's box in Nigeria called Kidnapping. To put this is perspective, even a brain dead manatee should know that Kidnapping for ransom will NEVER end again in Nigeria. MEND killed several JTF personnel in cold blood. These people signed up to protect the country, and despite all flaws are our first line of defense - love 'em or hate 'em. These people have wives, kids, parents, families. They were breadwinners and fathers to many families. And all you lot can do is to demonise them, broadly apply a stereotype of them being thieves (even when the level of corruption in the army is merely a reflection of the Nigerian mindset) and sickeningly refer to them as 'dirty stinking Hausas/fulanis' (tell me, when was the last time any of you clowns carried out an assesment of the ethnic composition analysis of the JTF before concluding that all of them come from the north?). Is North = Evil? Like it or not, the JTF is our army, and we need to avoid this knee-jerk criticism of everything they do. While i strongly criticise the indiscriminate use of force and i despair of the lack of precision shown by an exuberant army corps, they really must react to this provocation by tackling these MEND parasites head on. That is how it is. |
Mend requires a joker to win the war, they require surface to air launchers these are just like RPG the difference is that once lunched they sense for the heat of the jets before exploding which makes them 100% accurate. That was what the Afghans used in defeating the russians and bring them to their kneels. If the militants are able to secure that weapon in 3days Niger-delta will declare independence from Nigeria. Any tribe thinking of breaking away from the fraud called Nigeria should first think about how to get surface to air missles. Its a highly classified U.S weapon tho! All they need is another charlie wilson in the U.S senate, just as charlie made the Afghan-russian war his personal war. Without the help of charlie to secure the Surface to air lunchers the Afghans would have bleed.
1. I think most people already know what a Surface-To-Air missile is 2. Heat Seeking SAMs have been in existence since the 50s, and they are made and sold by over 30 countries worldwide - Not solely the US. Highly classified my ass. 3. While modern SAMs have a higher accuracy, the Afgham war era Sparrow missiles and the SAM 7s aren't nearly 100% accurate. To the fair, they are pretty lethal against helicopters without countermeasures. I really doubt the Naijan helos pack flares. . . |
I asked that for two reasons 1. You placed an iphone 2G 8Gb for sale here recently 2. The speeds you're quoting are way above what EDGE/GPRS can deliver, |
Afaukwu:So your idea of a defense is to head down the same tribalistic route you condemn others for, abi? Wastepipe. |
The Halliburton scam involved $180 billion. Is that what you're referring to as a scam that 'rendered Nigeria comatose'? Remember the Andy Uba saga?! |
Infoseye:So you finally got an iPhone 3g, huh? Will try and burn my ipa apps on a DVD and send over to you. Probably this weekend. |
Afghan and Pakistai civilians are killed daily by US missile strikes. They should clean oiut their house before getting in our business! |
freed:So where do you think Camp 5, the strongest millitant base in Delta, is located? Or the Iroko forest base? The JTF have been attacking the millitant bases. MEanwhile, where exactly have you been getting your casualty report from? How sure are you that those numbers are just propaganda? |
Iranoladun:And how the hell do you ensure the state and local governments develop the state? Yar Adua has no power to remove an elected Governor. Only the people can, through the ballot box. And it's only when they recognise the need to heap the blame on their State and LG leaders that they can start making moves to force their leaders to do the right thing. Instead all we have are 'elders' meeting to dole blame on others. Look at MEND threatening Northerners instead of the elected local government chairmen and governors who fail to build schools, repair roads and help create jobs. I repeat, the bayelsa state Govt was paying millitants N200 million monthly for 'peace'. It's an open secret that the Delta state govt pays out huge sums to these miscreants too. How will the state get developed when such huge amounts are paid out to hoodlums instead of being used for development? |
