Texcee (f) , the award in kaduna is a shame. Look all over the world govt are gettingout of business. Nigeria govt should. LET TALK THE TRUTH TO OURSELF. The 24 million dollar should have gone to development of other sector of Nigeria like education and road. if they sell the kaduna plant. Look president Yar adua is making the same mistake obasanjo did , he he also started by awarding contract which NIGERIA CONTRACTOR . we all know what they do. out of this 24 million, 12 million would have been paid has bribes, And I said so before this is the reason some people want all company sold to return back to govt, So that they CAN KEEP ON AWARDING CONTRACT AND COLLECTING BRIBE FROM THIS CONTRACTOR.

This is why i said that president Yar adua need good people around ,I have said I am willing to go back to nigeria and help president Yar Adua with the energy/power sector. I still they wait for Oga Yar Adua calls.
I agree with you Nigeria1, most countries are privitazing their public enterprises for the private sector to run them. But what do you
expect from Yar'Adua ? A man that re-appointed Rilwan Lukman - that old and recycled fellow - as his Petroleum Sector adviser ?

No matter how much we might hate OBJ, we cannot credit Yar'Adua for a project he did not start/conceptualize. I think this
is pretty straight forward.

Even if the yearnings of the Niger Delta people played a big role in the awarding of the road project, the bottom line is that,
Yar'Adua can in no way shape or form take credit for the road's construction.

I am not saying OBJ is flawless, not at all, all I am saying is that Yar'Adua is yet to do anything since he has been in office
besides the Kaduna projects.

Plus, I did not want ono giving Yar'Adua credit for what he did not earn.

Atleast OBJ initiated some projects, Which one has Yar'Adua initiated ? Please tell me ? Which One ?
PoliticsRe: Yaradua Should Work And Leave Obj by Texcee(f): 10:48am On Apr 18, 2008
The East-West road dualisation project has finally taken off - at least we can see Julius Berger and Setraco working on both the East and West ends of the road.
This project was awarded and paid some money by the previous administration. It couldn't take off on time due to fear of the militants. I wouldn't
credit Yar'Adua for this.

I read also that the FG is planning to build additional refineries in Lagos and Akwaibom States to cater for domestic needs.
When we see contract award and actual building of the refineries (like you can visually see the East-West road being dualized by Julius Berger), then we can give him credit.

I think these are laudable projects that might impact greatly on the lives of the people in the Southern part of Nigeria.
Which laudable project has Yar'Adua initiated besides the $23 million Kaduna refinery TAM and $60 miilion for Kaduna roads stated earlier ?

Well, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has just approved $23 million for the turn around maintenance of the Kaduna refinery

The FEC has also approved a $60 million IDA credit for the implementation of the Kaduna State Rural Access and

FEC approves $23m TAM contract for Kaduna Refinery
By Ihuoma Chiedozie, Abuja
Published: Thursday, 17 Apr 2008

The Federal Executive Council, which was chaired by Vice-president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday has approved the seventh Turn-Around-Maintenance project for the Kaduna Refinery at a cost of $23m.

The decision was reached after the FEC considered a memo from the President seeking the ratification of an anticipatory approval of the TAM contract.

Announcing this to newsmen, the Minister of Information and Communication, Mr. John Odey said, “We received a memo from the president himself seeking ratification of anticipatory approval for the award of labour services contract for the seventh turn-around-maintenance of Kaduna Refinery and Petro-chemical Company in favour of Messrs. DKG East Sea Oil and Gas Engineering Group in the sum of $23,010, 872, inclusive of VAT”

The FEC also approved a $60m International Development Association credit for the implementation of the Kaduna State Rural Access and Mobility Project.

The project is aimed at increasing access and mobility in the state’s rural communities by improving rural transport infrastructure, and strengthening capacity to manage rural access in a sustainable manner.

Odey explained that the project would be implemented within five years, while the credit facility is to be paid back in 40 years with a 10-year moratorium.

Senate Clears Iyabo Obasanjo from any wrong doing; Iyabo says she is not in hiding and has not received any invitation
from the EFCC.

http://www.tribune.com.ng/10042008/news/news2.html

THE Senate on Wednesday cleared the Chairman of its Committee on Health, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, of any wrongdoing in the N300 million scam that rocked the Ministry of Health which led to the resignation of the Minister, Professor Adenike Grange and the Minister of state, Mr. Gabriel Adukwu.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Media, Senator Ayogu Eze, told Senate Correspondents on Wednesday after the day’s sitting that the closed session of the senators was briefed in detail on the role of the Senate committee in the scam.

He said that the Senate discovered that the committee did not commit any wrong by receiving N10 million from the ministry to facilitate its retreat in Ghana.

“We looked into the procedure and the processes of the Committee of Health and we found out that the committee did not do any wrong and that the money they received, nobody told them it was from the unspent funds,” Senator Eze said.

He declared that the Senate looked at the practice of legislatures all over the world including in the United States of America and discovered that there were avenues for facilitation.

According to him, the legislature would frown at any incident where any of its members would overreach itself in seeking facilitation but that in this case, none of the members of the Committee on Health was found guilty of such an offence.

“We looked at the practice of legislatures all over the world, including the United States of America. We found out that there is avenue for facilitation.

“The legislature does not control funds, but what we just decided is that if anybody overreached him/herself we will take it to the Ethics Committee.

“In this case, we have not found anyone overreached himself. They did nothing wrong and they have not overreached themselves,” the Senator said.

He also declared that the decision of the Senate was without prejudice to the court trial of those mentioned in the N300 million scam, adding that the Senate had taken its decision based on evidence before it.

Iyabo was part of yesterday's Senate seating in Abuja - clearly not in hiding

Asked why Obasanjo-Bello was in the Chamber on Tuesday when he was supposed to appear in court, Spokesperson of the Senate, Senator Ayogu Eze said, "She has not received any writ and therefore she was in chamber on Tuesday and today (wednesday)."

Nigeria1.:
You can come under what ever name several times, here is a statement of fact, the other names you claim been charge are all people from the southern niger benue of nigeria.

we know how this politics of ethnic cleansing, now the EFCC is now Ethnicity Fight & Cleansing Commission (EFCC).

Look this is a statement of fact know by every nigerian, that all govt contract are mostly handle by people of northerner origin. about 70% of them. even look at the finance ministry webite and track the contract in the power sector. most of them were done in the north about 70%, and were handle by northerner.

Look the north have ruled nigeria for about 39 of 48 years of nigeria. and most of the government appointment have gone to northerner and so did the contract. I would also state with fear. that all ministry in abuja are dominated by northerner, even were in books they would claim otherwise. but if you walk into ministry in about, you find mostly people of northerner origin. very few southern, while if you do a quick count at people waiting for contract, it i poeple of northerner origin,

southerner are mostly into trading. we all know this as a fact. i would also state for a fact, knowing nigeria very well that the primary reason why the federal govt is collecting back all company sold during the obasanjo govt is because they were avenue for corruption used by people to steal money in nigeria making claim to contract. THEY know if all this avenue are gone , they would have no excuse to steal again. so the need to collect them back and continue to steal.

Dont get me wrong, i have nothing against a northerner. i have them as good friend. an average northerner on the street of kano is not involve in this scam,

When the power in the north defines the "north" Young man they mean everything above the river niger and benue, The following state never get back of the position benue, kwara, kogi, taraba , they are just weapon use to complete number, and they power that been in the North niger benue would use one or 2 politician from the southern niger benue, Look the reason they are given by SGB to the saranki is to use Chief saraki for their plan and after dump and disgrace him,

Another move was the moving of PDP headquarter from lagos to ibadan, to use ibadan main politician, baba fro their purpose.

This as to stop, if we want to b because a nation, will need to stop ethnics politices in abuja. and I feed president Yar adua need to stop it now, If you double i would get sowore and others to investigate all contract by this govt and others, even including the governor and others and we start email it to people. The ethnic politics should stop here now. If not we all should expect a coup. if nigeria goes to war. i can tell the people of the southern niger benue will win the war. by why do we have to go that far, you need to listen to obama, Yes we can, we can't not continue in this corruption again. Do you know any serious Yorubaman in Yar Adua govt, please name that person. i said serious yorubaman, PDP is digging a hole for war in nigeria, i think it is time to stop it.
@Nigeria1

It appears Yar'Adua is punishing the yoruba people for what OBJ did to some Northerners - IBB, Atiku and co. Yar'Adua feels OBJ betrayed
all of those who brought him to power in 1999 and he disgraced the North, so it is time for payback.

The only thing is, rather than go after OBJ, he is going after the entire yoruba people. The reason why Yar'Adua has not been able to
accomplish anything for almost 1 year in office is because he is busy reversing all over his predecessor's policies.

I have even heard somewhere that Usman (Finance Minister) is proposing a reversal of the bank consolidation because it
has favored southerners to the detriment of the North. Go figure.

UNTH CMD Anthony Mba enmersed in graft

By Emmanuel Nzomiwu,Reporter, Enugu

http://www.independentngonline.com/

The management board of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, is enmeshed in a row over the recommendation of the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Anthony Mba, for re-appointment despite a police report that reportedly held him accountable for the theft of a 100KVA generator belonging to the hospital.

It is alleged that the board swept under the carpet the report which also indicated that he used irregular means to get himself endorsed for a second term, not minding the fact that he came fifth in an election conducted by the local branch of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) on March 12.

G. N. Adimorah scored 236 votes in the election, M.A.C Aghaji (217), B. C. Ezeanolue (214), You.F. Ezepue (189), Mba (132), and Okey Onwuasoigwe (92).
Sources disclosed that members of the board, who are aware of the report, ignored the election result and recommended Mba to the Ministry of Health, which, in turn, forwarded his name to the Presidency for re-appointment.

A top official of the MDCAN, who sought anonymity, expressed fears that members of the board were probably induced to endorse Mba, since it is difficult to reconcile his re-appointment, considering the said police report forwarded to them.

The report, signed by Superintendent of Police (SP), Richard Gara, dealt with allegations of threat to life by Mba against Linus Onyia, a member of the board.
Mba’s petition was dated September 4, 2006, that of Onyia September 5, 2006.
In his petition, Mba alleged that in March last year, unknown persons removed the generator in Nvene. The theft was reported in Udi, and Onyia was accused of removing the facility and was arrested, he narrated.

Mba said between September 1 and 4, he had received threat calls, of which he suspected Onyia as the mastermind.
But Onyia, in his own petition, accused Mba of not employing security men at the site where the generator was installed besides accusing him of embezzling N6,999,993.00 using M/S Commercial Enterprises.

Onyia alleged that in the guise of renovating the water pipeline from Nvene to Ituku, Mba sold water daily to tankers at UNTH permanent site without using UNTH staff or making proper accounts of the sales.

He alleged that Mba spent N3,732,300 to buy a used Toyota Hilux van instead of a brand new one .

Onyia alleged that Mba borrowed N13 million from the welfare fund of UNTH workers in October 2004 for shipping medical equipment donated by the World Medical Relief in the United States, but the consignment neither arrived nor was the money returned.

He said

Mba unilaterally approved the payment of N350,000 through one Linus Ogbanu, to pay for security and to take over the public power supply line from New Haven to Ituku Ozalla, against the N100,000 officially approved.

The two petitioners and those mentioned in the petitions were invited by the police and wrote statements.

The Nvene waterline and UNTH permanent site in Ituku-Ozalla were visited by the police, at the end of which Mba was reportedly held accountable for the stolen generator. Onyia was exonerated.

The police report indicated that Mba increased the money voted for the public power line from N100,000 to N350,000 without the approval of the board.
It was also found that, without due process, he borrowed N13 million to ship medical equipment, which has not been delivered since October 2004, nor is the money returned.

The police report said he used N3,732,000 approved for a new Toyota Hilux van to buy a used one.

The police recommended that Mba be made to explain his actions, failing which he should be charged to court for defrauding the ministry.
A phone call to the mobile line of the UNTH Board Chairman, Charles Amanze, was picked by a person who was not co-operative.
Nevertheless, UNTH Public Relations Officer, Cyril Keleze, absolved the board of any wrongdoing in Mba’s re-appointment.

He accused those whose interests were not favoured in the appointment of engaging in a campaign of calumny against Mba, stressing that it is not the duty of MDCAN to appoint the Chief Medical Director.

Said Keleze: "They (MDCAN) are usually advised to nominate five persons among them to handle the position. They nominated five, and the question of who came first among them doesn’t matter. They nominated five to the board. The board nominated three to the ministry and the ministry nominated one to the Presidency.

When contacted in respect of the police report, the Public Relations Officer for the Enugu Command, Michael Abatam, told Sunday Independent that "the report was not meant for public consumption," and promised to throw more light on it on Monday if our correspondent so wishes.

EFCC arrests 16 in Akure, Onitsha cyber cafe raids

http://www.tribune.com.ng/03042008/news/news9.html

Men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday arrested 16 suspected cyber fraudsters as they raided cyber cafes in Akure, Ondo State and Onitsha, Anambra State.

While 10 were arrested in Akure, six were arrested in Onitsha where several units of computers were confiscated.

In Akure, apart from the ‘yahoo boys’, owners of some of the cafes were also arrested, while many computer sets and other accessories were impounded by the detectives.

The raid, which affected cafes on Oyemekun Road and Oba Adesida Road, according to sources, was part of efforts at eradicating internet fraud in the state.

This was said to have followed reports that the internet fraudsters that were chased away from Lagos, Ibadan and other cities had relocated to Akure.

Many of the victims were caught unawares by the invasion of the detectives, as they were said to be involving in the act when they were arrested.

The EFCC team was said to have arrived Akure on Monday and mixed with the customers of cafes notorious for cyber crimes.

Those arrested were later locked up at the cells of the “A” Division of the Ondo State Police Command.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Adeniran Aremu, confirmed that the EFCC was in the town to carry out the operation.

In Onitsha, the EFCC men, who came in an unmarked Toyota Hilux van, cordoned off the road leading to the famous Main Market, pounced on the operators, who were browsing at the cafe, questioned and searched them.

The leader of the squad said they were on a routine check and would release the arrested persons after interrogations.

A source told the Nigerian Tribune that the EFCC officials were acting on a tip off, adding that the cyber cafe had of late become a haven for youths who storm the place daily to send and access scam mails.

Nigeria governor denies cult link

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7276922.stm

The governor of a south east Nigerian state has denied being involved in a secret ritual that was filmed and
uploaded onto the internet. Theodore Orji of Abia state told the BBC the film was a fake.

The film features a man who strongly resembles the governor, crouching in front of a shrine in shackles dressed only in his Y-fronts.
The shrine is believed to be one in Anambra state that has been linked to scores of murders.
The 31-second clip was uploaded onto the internet by saharareporters.com, a group of Nigerian "citizen journalists".

Another man standing behind the one in Y-fronts brandishes a chicken and an egg.
It is not clear what exactly is going on in the clip, which has no sound, but it seems the man resembling the governor is forced to symbolically lay an egg.
'Christian'
Many Nigerians hold on to their traditional beliefs in addition to being Muslim or Christian.
But Mr Orji told the BBC's Network Africa programme he was not a member of a secret cult.
"I am a Christian by birth, my father owns a church. I cannot go to my father's church and be a member of a cult," he said.

The shrine was lined with coffins
33 bodies were discovered
Bodies were missing parts
30 arrests were made, nobody was charged
"You can do anything with a computer these days," he added.
He said the accusations were part of a plot to run him out of politics.
Mr Orji won his election in Abia state with 82% of the vote, but he was in jail at the time.
He was accused of complicity with his boss, former governor Orji Kalu, who is now facing corruption charges.
Last month an election tribunal overturned Mr Orji's election, saying he had not resigned his post as required before the poll.

But he remains governor pending an appeal.
"They are trying to heap all the crimes of the world upon my head," Mr Orji said.
'Human sacrifice'

In 2004, 33 bodies were discovered at a shrine in Okija, Anambra state.
Many were missing body parts, hands heads and genitals, believed to have been used in rituals.
30 men were arrested, but nobody was tried.

The police said they suspected the victims had been murdered, but the arrested men said the bodies had been brought to the shrine by their families.
They claimed the men had died in accidents, killed by spirits after breaking agreements made at the shrine.
Mr Orji told the BBC shrines were common all over Nigeria
"It is where people go to settle scores and land disputes," he said.

It is not the first time a politician has been filmed in this way.

In 2003 Anambra governor Chris Ngige was filmed participating in a shrine ritual.
He did not deny the charges and said he had gone along with the ritual because he was being blackmailed,
but had no intention of sticking to the deal.

Eight Killed In Ebonyi Over Witchcraft

By Felix Uka,Correspondent, Abakaliki

Eight indigenes of Onicha Community in Onicha Igboeze Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have been killed by their kinsmen for alleged witchcraft.
Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Zone 9 and the Commissioner of Police (CP), Ebonyi Command, Adanaya Gaya, weekend revealed this to newsmen at the commissioner’s office in Abakaliki, the state capital.

The AIG explained that though no formal report had been made to the police, intelligence reports revealed that one of the victims was taken to a shrine in Delta State to confirm if he was a witch, before he was killed.

Gaya posited that it could be out of fear that nobody in the community had reported the matter to the police.
People of the community had on February protested what they called negligence of the area by the state government in terms of infrastructure development and selfishness of their kinsmen in government, and in the process vandalised 12 houses including that of the deputy governor, Prof. Chigozie Ogbu.

Two policemen allegedly kidnapped at the wake of the protest are still missing.
The AIG explained that about a fortnight ago, the Igboeze people undertook the second phase of the demonstration, razing the house of the deputy governor that was earlier vandalised.

He said the 22 persons arrested in connection with the acts had been arraigned.
Ajakaiye explained that the arrest of some of those who testified at the judicial panel of inquiry set up by the state government was not out of place, hence the panel had not sat again.

Investigations by Sunday Independent revealed that the second phase of the attack of the deputy governor’s house was fuelled by the arrest of those who testified at the panel, contrary to assurances by the panel that no volunteers at the panel would be arrested.
The AIG, however, said the arrest was not at the venue of the panel sitting, nonetheless pointing out that there was no immunity to arrest for anybody.
He said full unit of mobile policemen and the regular police had been stationed in the community and that the police would get to the root of what happened to their men.

The police boss explained that a missing person is not declared dead until after seven years, saying that officially the policemen are still alive, "but inside me, I feel they are gone".

Human Parts Litter Ritualists’ Den
By Jude Orji/Enugu

http://thepmnews.com/article/696

An evil forest where suspected ritualists dismember their victims has been discovered in Enugu State.

Dismembered parts of victims of ritual killing in Enugu State.
The forest is located at Inyi, Enugu-Ezike in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. When it was searched,
fresh and decomposing human parts were found all over the place but with some vital parts missing.

The scene is reminiscent of the gory findings at the Okija Shrine in Anambra State in 2004.

P.M.News investigations revealed that majority of the victims were taken to the forest and butchered by the suspected ritualists who then remove the vital parts needed for moneymaking ritual.

Many prominent residents of Enugu and environs were said to be patrons of herbalists and native doctors who perform rituals in the forest.

Inyi Enugu-Ezike is also said to be known as a home for dreaded commercial native doctors and ritualists in Nsukka cultural zone, Enugu.

What is, however, baffling to most residents of the town is the alleged involvement of some policemen in the notorious trade in human parts.

A policeman (name withheld), an indigene of Inyi Enugu-Ezike is said to be the godfather of the ritualists and armed robbers terrorising the town and Enugu-Makurdi Road.

P.M.News gathered that the policeman is so powerful in the town that he is regarded as untouchable because he procures powerful native charms and amulets for top police officers, businessmen and politicians across the country.

And to stem the spate of kidnappers, ritual murders and killings in the town, residents have petitioned the state government to take over the large expanse of land belonging to the village shrine Ogene Mmili.

They also demanded punishment for the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

They listed those kidnapped and killed in the town as Miss Eucharia Abugu Eya, 20. She was abducted on the street and later found dead in the evil forest with some parts of her body missing.

Others are Miss Gloria Ugwueke, 35 and Caroline Odo Eje, a widow with seven children who lived near the Inyi police post.

She was on her way to see her aged mother when she was seized by the ritualists and taken to the evil forest where her body was dismembered.

Her leg was later discovered in a shallow grave without other parts.

But the murder of Miss Edith Ijeoma Onu Ossai, 26, last month led to a wide protest in the town by more than 3000 women who demanded an end to the ritual killings.

The body of the late Edith who was on her way to Edumoga Umuogbo Inyi was found mangled near Inyi health centre.

Edith’s heart, kidney and private parts were removed by the ritual killers. Various parts of the victim were buried in different places.

P.M.News learnt that burying parts of the victim separately would keep her spirit divided and prevent her from going after her killers.

It was gathered that Edith’s mother became mad after seeing the dismembered parts of her daughter.

The protesting women led by Mrs. Theresa Mary Daya, Mrs. Mary Abugu, Ugwu Stella Chinello, Alomona Agnes and Mrs. Josephine Ojobor, said they have no choice but to raise an alarm since the efforts of their men have failed.

A source at the Igbo Eze North Divisional Police Headquarters said the police were on the trail of the ritualists.

He disclosed that the matter was being investigated by the D4 section of the Homicide Department, State CID, Enugu

The flip side of the story for Michael Jackson is that, he actually has assets -  things he can sell for cash. So,
technically, he isn't broke-broke.

But Michael does not want to sell any of his assets (e.g. Neverland ranch, art collection, multi-million dollar condo at
the Trump Towers, and the beetles collection) because it would confirm to the world that he is indeed broke.

Time will tell sha.

With the exception of Janet Jackson, reportedly worth about $150 million,
practically all members of the Jackson family are seriously broke.

THE once mighty Jackson family is just scaping by, with broke family members even resorting to stacking supermarket shelves to earn a crust.

The glory days of sequin-studded seven figure performances are over, with the cash strapped family now paying for decades of poor financial decisions.

Here is a rundown of their current state of affairs.

Joseph Jackson (Father), 79
The Jackson dad hustles various girl groups in Las Vegas. He has previously filed for bankruptcy.

Katherine Jackson (Mother), 77
The Jackson matriarch is still a stay-at-home mum and believed to be the only family member in contact with Michael. She has also previously filed for bankruptcy.

Janet Jackson, 41
The current family breadwinner. She bought her mom a Vegas home in anticipation of losing the family's mansion, Hayvenhurst, to foreclosure. Like their Neverland colleagues, workers at Hayvenhurst have not been paid for months.

La Toya Jackson, 52
Has little contact with the family after she declared Michael guilty during the 1993 molestation case. She lives with her rich boyfriend in Beverly Hills and earns extra cash judging beauty and singing contests.

Rebbie Jackson, 57 The oldest, she's married to successful businessman Nathaniel Brown.

Tito Jackson, 55
Formed a blues band several years ago and plays at small venues for $500 to $1,500 a gig.

Michael Jackson, 49
On the verge of losing Neverland ranch as well as the family's Encino, Calif., home. He's hiding out in Las Vegas and repeatedly makes promises to his brothers while sabotaging any attempts by them to ply their musical trade.

Randy Jackson, 46
Does odd jobs like changing tires to support himself. He was Michael's business manager during the 2005 molestation trial but ran into serious problems with friends after he persuaded three people to take out lines of credits against their homes to help Michael pay his attorney fees and Michael stiffed them.

Marlon Jackson, 51
Lives in San Diego, where he works stocking groceries at a Vons supermarket. He fell on hard times three years ago when he was forced to leave his foreclosed home and move into an Extended Stay America hotel with his wife, Carol.

Jackie Jackson, 56
The oldest son started an Internet clothing business and is trying to produce records by his sons. Nothing has panned out.

Jermaine Jackson, 54
Splits time between the parents' Hayvenhurst mansion and his girlfriend's home in the San Fernando Valley. With more than $5 million in federal, state and other liens against him and a 1995 bankruptcy filing, he doesn't work or have a regular income.

PoliticsRe: It Looks Like Yar'adua Is Trying His Best by Texcee(f): 2:36am On Mar 07, 2008
The only thing Yar'Adua has done is reverse decisions taken by his
predecessor.

When is he going to come up with policies of his own ? Come May 2008, he'll be
1 year in office. Besides reversing OBJ's policies, what does he have to show
for his time in office ?

The 7 power plants that were being built in the Niger Delta have been put on hold because
(according to him) OBJ went about funding the projects unconstitutionally (he did not have
the authority to dip into the excess crude oil funds).Rather than finding an alternative means
of funding the projects, he has put them on hold.

The Tinapa project that was started by Donald Duke and had OBJ's blessings, What is the status
of the project now ?  According to reports, the original plan was for the place to operate as a
free trade zone, yet, customs are making Tinapa's dream a non-reality. What is Yar'Adua doing about
this ?

The SEEDS initiative started by OBJ and applauded worldwide is being tarnished and they are now
coming up with something else.

They have just announced that they are going to be importing cement to bring down the price, not
minding that there are several multi-billion naira cement factories being built in the country (e.g.
Obajana cement factory).

Do these not amount to reversing the policies of his predecessor without any way
of moving things forward ?

What about the EFCC ? He has sent Ribadu to the institute in Jos when everyone knows how
well he was performing at the EFCC. Do you recall Yar'Adua was thinking about abolishing
the EFCC altogether ? What would've been the point of this ?

If Yar'Adua insists on reversing his predecessor's policies, then he should come up with
his own alternatives. He should stop stringing us along.

I still can't figure out how Odili got a court to rule against him or the Rivers state govt from
being investigated.

I am not a lawyer or an expert on the law but it just amazes me
how a court can grant this kind of injunction. I am really short of words.
