Akanbiedu: What Seun tried to do here is exactly what Awolowo did with the 20pounds policy. We all know how that panned out.
Now I see videos flying around abusing Seun and Yoruba people. I am guessing, some years from now Seun will be accused of causing ethnic fight between Yoruba and Igbo in Lagos. I just pity Seun. He doesn't know that the best way to deal with these people when they start crying their usual "victimisation" after causing trouble everywhere is to ignore them. Now they have been using his apology to blackmail him and his forum on all social media platforms. At this point Seun should try changing his name to Chukwudi to please them since he likes to ass-lick them. |

Seun: Dear Igbo People,
I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert which said, "Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote" to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to "take over" Lagos State.
Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome.
We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.
We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.
Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.
Sincerely, Seun Osewa. You have done well Seun. But just know you can never please the Igbos as a Yoruba man. Since you released this needless apology, the attack on your person by Igbos has skyrocketed on every social media platform. Trying hard to please the Igbos will always expose you to a monumental danger as a Yoruba man because they immediately perceive you as weak and trust Igbos to always take advantage of that and still rob it on your face. |

Verification: In a letter dated February 4th 2003 which emanated from the US Consulate in Lagos, addressed to the then Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun with reference SR.3000/IGPSEC/ABJ/VOL.24/287 and obtained by PRNigeria, the United States clarified that a record check on then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned negative for any criminal arrest records, wants, or warrants for Mr Tinubu “(DOB 29 March 1952).”
It further clarified that its check was based on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) – a centralised information center that maintaining the recordqs of every criminal arrest and conviction within the United States and its territories.PRNigeria fact-check, therefore, queried the database of the FBI’s NCIC, and results returned negative on the search terms. |

Infact I hate it when my fellow igb brothers talk about Biafra and existing Nigeria, I always argue them, that sometimes it seems like they want to beat me. But just these few months has taught me alot. This election has opened my eyes, that my friends are like" I told you so". These Nigerians which are youruba and Hausas are cunning, and evil and demonic. They will snitch on you immediately you trust them, and shoot you from the back. It's so unfortunate that even the few Igbos who try to condition their mind that we could all live together, are the ones now brewing more hate and back to had I known. Nnamdi kanu said this and I eleven believed him. I called him a fool, a bastard. And if truly you are a Yoruba, then, akididinrin ni e. You and misinformed dregs like you are the reason why they wanna stage a sad drama in your region. Their candidate lost woefully in the North because those northerners wouldn't even touch them with a totem pole. Do you see them daring the north? Or Kano, Kaduna isn't cosmopolitan enough?
You talked about age, Biden became American president at 78. In fact I don't have your time. You nauseates me. This is rather too harsh. I think most Yorubas passed through this stage of loving and trusting Igbos, I did too. Because unlike them that their parents filled their head with terrible stories about the Yorubas from birth, our parents never taught us anything like that, we experience their hate as we grow. Pardon him because he may still come around. Op the truth is Igbos hate you because you are Yoruba and that's a fact! Forget the religious cards they tried to play in the build to election about MM ticket. Awolowo that ran on Christian-Christian ticket was stoned in Aba. Igbos would have been celebrating by now if Atiku (who is five years older than Tinubu) won this election. You as a Yoruba man is their biggest headache. |

Starboytwo: I salute you. You have strength. And you have been simple, sued for peace and most importantly you do not let your emotion cloud your reasoning.
But I understand, and I think you do too, normally, the losing side will always be angry and bitter, we can see whose people have resorted to abuse from the beginning of this thread.
I like Peter Obi, not cause he is better than ASIWAJU in terms of governance etc, but I can relate with him, young vibrant etc and I’m damn tired of all these old guys. Make dem go rest.
However the fact that you can support Peter Obi and I can’t support ASIWAJU or a kwankwaso without being ridiculed, abused or bullied Was what made me and my household stopped supporting Obi.
Tinubu lost Lagos to obi, yet Yoruba’s are tribalist Obi won %97 in Anambra but he is not a tribalist. We all know why the tribalist are. We knows.
Goodluck In being civil with these guys. Nowadays I don’t care. This election has opened everybody’s eyes. If you accuse me of tribalism I will accuse you too.
You can’t be abusing my Tribe, a sophisticated one at that, cuz you lost an election. An election you were bound to lose anyway and you expect me to open teeth and vote Obi, may amadioha strike you dead.
Fire for fire. Abuse for abuse. If war starts we all die and perish. Nobody has monopoly of violence, besides the south east needs the south west not the other way round.
Cry all you want, it’s normal to cry and vent after a big loss. We have seen you people and we are no more doing any stupid accommodating shit, you will be giving what you deserve henceforth.

alanto: I wish you luck but I am telling you from onset that it's going to be a fruitless venture, na naija tie all of us together, you as a Yoruba man have culture and traditions that shaped you to whom you are today. Omo ti o ni ya o kin da egbo eyin, ijakuna ki rinde o san, eni a biire ki rinde oru, these among many things are what makes you who you are, respect for elders, me I take respect very serious, I get offended when someone I give respect don't give it back, we have kings that are like deities, we have elders that we don't go against. All these and more are lacking in Igbo culture. They are not organized unlike you, I can keep going but what I'm saying is. They are envious of Yoruba people, Igbos have nothing against Atiku contesting the presidency but they don't want to hear about Asiwaju, they called us names for supporting him, they called him names for contesting, they made fake photos and fake videos of him, they made songs for him but they didn't tell Atiku anything, they called Asiwaju old, but Atiku is 6 years older than Asiwaju. But it's not just politics, it was the same people that went to court over June 12 1993 election. Do you know what it means to an Igboman that two different Yorubas have been president since 1999 with another Yoruba man doing vice president for 8 years in-between.. it kills all there bragging right, it kills their moral, it demoralize them and what you have right now is a reflection how serious they take hating someone, their hate is not peculiar to Yoruba, Yoruba is just the one they hate the most, you see they are still telling you that Tinubu didn't win even after telling them about the northern spread.. Look at the news coming from SE and tell me how you think they reason or they'll reason...
Know it that as a Yoruba man, you are not on the same level of reasoning with the Igbo man Well said. |

Corona22: Oh oh , I shall talk to my people too ,but now I’m seeing this from the perspective of a Yoruba man. I think this whole thing began when Obi started to contest and some people started to call anyone that supported or voted Tinubu all sort of names. ( I might be wrong , I’m obviously biased) I think that’s when Obidient movement started to lose goodwill. I support Obi but you can’t call my mother and my uncle names because she decides to support Tinubu , that is not done Well I think your problem is that you barely know igbo. I lived among them for years. Do you know a "Peter Obi" of Yoruba descent will not be supported like the Igbos supported Obi? Do you know Obi did not perform well as governor? Igbos just know how to sell fake things for you at the price of original and blackmail you (eg of tribalism) when you refuse to fall for their fraud. They are by far the most frau.dulent and bigoted tribe in Nigeria. |

Corona22: My name is Ayomide ,obviously a Yoruba man. I’m a Christian and I have no political affiliation. This should not be important to clarify but that’s the current state of the country nowadays. I’ve spent most of life in the southwest , so my opinion will be shaped only by what I’ve experienced in the southwest alone.
I’m utterly disgusted and disappointed with the current state of affairs in our country today. How did we get it so wrong ? We’ve decided to pick sides and fight each other based on affiliations that mean nothing in the greater scheme of things for politicians that look at us as statistics and not people.
I supported Peter Obi because I wanted a breathe of fresh air , because Tinubu is obviously too old and physically unfit to withstand the rigors of being president. I’m not sure he can steer us in the right path in this ever evolving world as befits a country as great as Nigeria. He obviously belongs to an older generation and he doesn’t seem to have the capabilities to “converse” ( for the lack of a befitting word )with other world leaders of the world. That is my personal opinion that I’m entitled to, my constitutional right. I did not vote Obi because I’m Igbo or because I’m a Christian.
But Tinubu has won.
I’ll say this to the Igbos that are justifiably angry and bitter and have been insulting Yorubas ( I know a lot of Igbo people that have not insulted anyone and they have my respect and thanks and such people is exempt from this) , They are bad , tribalistic people in all tribes. Painting us all with the same brush will only create enemies where they was previously none.
I’m Yoruba. And when you attack the Yoruba tribe as a whole , you attack me as well and my natural inclination is to pick a side. Let this narrative that all Yoruba hate all Igbo die and let us all move on from this. Old people fight is not young people fight. Why are we inheriting our grandfathers beef ? The people that did evil against the Igbos are long dead and facing their judgement. This generation is meant to be different. Let it be so and let us have one Nigeria instead of a divided one Peace Go and sleep. |
