Exclusive101:
Your call for caution is coming too late n I say this with all sense of modesty.

Igbos rate Yoruba the way they rate Ibibio ikwerre n Delta Igbos.

Igbo must pay a costly price n extremely Dearing price to have their brain reset, Yorubas will never back down for the Igbo on our land n this is why they will be the one to pay dearly.

It is only a matter of time, the ohaneze n other Igbo leaders have proven to be foolish with their bias n all of you must pay dearly.

I say this because Igbos think they can get away with it but when push come to shove you will see the real coward you call Yoruba n learn never to refer to them as that or subjugate the Yorubaa if they allow you run your rings around them.
Lol thank you.

You know what I found most interesting about the Igbo noise these days is that, you call Yorubas cowards for all their niceness and accommodating nature in the past. And now when Yorubas are trying to prove to them that they are not cowards, they are crying victimisation. grin

Nothing, no one and no propaganda can shift us.

The incoming president of the new Nigeria
Tinubu won fair and square. They warned you guys that elections are not won on social media.

And his declaration is in line with the constitution.

I know you're petty. I'm not among the framers of the constitution.
Deal with it. The constitution has already given the conditions for one to emerge as president.

1. Majority votes
2. 25% of votes cast in 24 states AND
3. 25% of votes cast in FCT.

If it's not okay by deal with the constitution
This is not what the constitution says. Go and check again.

I once said that you guys will soon come up with your own constitution and you didn't even disappoint. grin

Worst comparison! Do you guys even reason at all? It is obvious partisanship and emotional politics has done serious damage to many people's brain.

By your logic now, Tinubu should be the only one to contest again until he's able to get 25% in Abuja. At least a candidate that failed English will register and write alone without writing with other candidates again. grin

If that is what the state constitution say then he can't be Governor unless he get 25% in those local government, in the presidential elections, its clearly stated.
What do you mean by "clearly"

Section 299 that says Abuja is a state for the purpose of election is not clear to you but it is the "and" in section 234 that you decided to misinterpret and say it's clear. grin

When the constitution says "all votes are equal", what does that even mean to you? that the vote of someone in Gwagwalada (Abuja) is more important than that of another Nigerian in Ikeja??

Politics › Re: Nigerians Leave In Droves As Reality Sets In On Tinubu Pyrrhic Win by Tflex01:
Nwaetche:
As someone that travels outside the shores of Nigeria quite often due to the Nature of my Job as well as vacation. I frequently do encounter fellow Nigerians exiting and returning to Nigeria at various transit points in Europe and North America.

I was of the opinion that the quantum of Nigeria making the exit or japa move would drastically reduce after the election considering the interest of the Nigeria diaspora community in the last election but to my utmost chagrin, the volume have more or less quadrupled.
Middle Class Nigerians are leaving the country in droves. One just need to go to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Trudeau International Airport Montreal, Toronto Pearson Airport. London Heathrow, George Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston, etc. to see things.

This trends only show one thing; Nigerians do not have confidence in Tinubu and his APC government to change our downward trajectory. No one wants the country to collapse on his head.

See Buhari and Tinubu jumping around for a Private refinery enabled and facilitated by Jonathan PDP government while the Nigerian government owned refineries in PHC, Warri and Kaduna remained comatose throughout their eight year in power. What a shame!

On my transit through Istanbul(IST) airport yesterday I saw hundreds of Nigerians with majority of them our brothers from the great Yoruba race trying to get connection flights to every imaginable place on earth. Everyone with Green passport except if you are Miles&Smiles member and or Business Class will have to go through enclosed full-body scanners plus aggressive pat-down while other nationalities just walkthrough the scanning system. You can easily see many of these economic migrant Nigerians emerging at the other end of the immigration line, dishevelled, disoriented with heads bowed in shame and trepidation. This is just the first leg of the travel. They will meet even more stringent shakedown as they transverse Europe and North America to reach their destination so as to escape hardship and impending poverty from a country more naturally endowed than most of the countries they are heading to. Their only sin is being born in Nigeria and ben saddled with wicked and devilish buccaneers and human destiny merchants.

The humiliation of our folks is tantamount to humiliation of Nigeria as a country.

I was moved to ask one incidentally a Yoruba Muslim if he would not have stayed to enjoy BAT government his kinsmen worked so hard to enthrone and his response dumbfounded me.

He said that they never meant all those things rather were afraid of Igbos and South Southerners gloating over possible Obi's win.
I was so enraged about this assertion. What has mere gloating got to do with the wellbeing of the country that these folks have to rig/manipulate to install an expired man to run a sick nation.

Now many of our people including the diehard religious irredentist and tribal bigots are scampering out in mass just in time before the noose tightens further as being floated in the UK, Canada and possible Australia parliaments around Nigerian emigrating to their country.
The Northerners can be forgiven as they rarely japa except to Sudan and Saudi Arabia but we should not forgive these religious irredentist and tribal bigots for bringing the country to this unforgivable opprobrium.

I hope we will change our attitude concerning getting the right people at the helms of affiars irrespective of religious or tribal affiliation sooner rather than later as we may not have any country left if we continue on this irrelevant but destructive "d*ck" measuring contestation.
Rubbish post by one pained ibo that has never been to the airport before. grin

It's not about some people it's about status, Abuja is a special status more like a special government headed by the minister of the fct because of its special status as the federal capital territory hence why you don't have commissioners of transportation, education, works, budget etc ....it is actually a federal controlled zone
So the constitution that says all votes are equal couldn't just put it there as "except Abuja residents' votes"... grin

Tinubu will be sworn in next week.

Honestly you BATISTS are so daft. Prior to now sensible Nigerians have been calling the Nigerian constitution as a confused document, but you ignorant lts dont understand it. Yes it doesnt make sense that a presidential candidate must acquire 25% before he is declared a winner but unfortunately thats what the constitution says.
The supreme court also affirmed it in its ruling on Buhari vs Obasanjo.

Ahmed Kadiri simply rechoed what is in the constitution and affirmed by supreme court ruling.

Until the costitution is amended, that remains a law.

And the law is no respecter of anybody.
The most beautiful thing is that after all these lamentations, Tinubu will be inaugurated in a week's time and you guys and your confused parents will cry for another 8 years. grin

I assume the Supreme Court will interpret the Constitution and will make decision or make interpretation concerning the 25% FCT requirements. English is not my first language. I struggle in understanding some English Language meanings.

It is not logical to me that a candidate can win all the 36 states, but that failure to win 25% in FCT will prevent the candidate from becoming the President.
Section 299 is even very clear and unambiguous. All votes are equal. Abuja should be treated as a state.

All these Obidients are just being ridiculous.

Let's believe the constitution.

Constitution says all votes in election are equal (which means no vote carry more weight than the other).

Constitution also say Abuja shall be accorded the state status for the purpose of election (which makes its vote not special than the one in Ebonyi).

That is the constitution.

Like North East, like South East. Southern Nigeria really dodged a bullet.

Somebody said the insecurity rate increased in the East because Obi lost election and I laughed. IPOB/UGM would have been more emboldened to overrun Nigeria especially the South if Obi had won.

Lack of political powers is hiding how much savage and domineering the Easterners can be. I lived among them for years.

Nigerians in Sudan are mostly Northerners studying Islamic courses

There are many airlines owned by Northerners

The president is a Northerner.

The African richest man is a Northern.

But,

It is the chairman of Airpeace, Allen Onyema, AN IGBO MAN, who has AGAIN, in his characteristic manner, volunteered to use his planes to bring back Nigerians trapped in war-torn Sudan.

Nigerians from North and South are praising him to high havens, calling him a patriot.

Ironically, IF the same Allen Onyema decides to run for president of Nigeria tomorrow, these same Nigerians praising him today will tell him that he is IPOB and cannot rule Nigeria. Even the people he brought back will tell him that they rather vote one of their own even if he's on wheelchair.

Whatever you do as an Igbo man in today's Nigeria, always remember that IGBOPHOBIA is alive and well. In fact, there is a sense in which it can be argued that that is the major oxygen sustaining the Nigerian state.

The late literary god Chinualumogu Albert Achebe was right;

"Nigerians will probably achieve consensus on no other matter than their common resentment of the Igbo."
