150k without 25 percent, without fake alerts, without queue to buy fuel, without olosho trying to rubbish, without lastman harassment... But all in all if you can do 199k during winter then you can do 399k during surge....

I think I'm paying close to 26% commission or more.
The car consumption rate is 30% when I buy 250/ltr and20% - 25% when I buy fuel @170/ltr.

In short:
More than half 55% in total of our earning is going to expenses

Therfore, our of the 199k you saw, I probably saw between 80k -92k. And still had to get 2 toks tyres for 15k each ie 30k for the 2 tyres.

My car key broke on the door while at jara mall ikeja around 7:35pm. I had to leave overnight.

Spent extra 13k to remove kept and make 2 spares.
Spent 37k when my the spider alxe shaft of the passenger side damaged and disconnected from gear. I had to tow it off lekki phase 2 express and beg a filling station to let it sleep overnight.

Fixed it the next morning and kick of work again.

To be honest. We might see huge figure earned. But I barely keep up to half of the net profit money earned. It all went back to the car.

Let's imagine, I also have to remit. What will I drop when I had spend all on car repairs, commission and fuel

You dey find 150k a month job, and you made 199k a week on e-hailing? Maybe I'm missing something

Yes. 150k is the minimum salary I can accept, which always comes with other benefits that bolt/uber do not offer.

Also. The working hours are often 8am to -6pm. Overtime will be paid for.

In the past:
While I work at Bank, managing its facilities... I do bolt/Uber by make atleast 4k in the morning sometimes more when going to work and 6k in the evening when return from work.

So I often gross 50k weekdays and work full time sat and Sunday to gross 40k weekends. Ie ie 90k gross weekly

I live on the mainland while my office was on the island then.
If I work on the mainland the case my be different, I might earn less on bolt/uber.

If I may ask what role are you looking at? Will it be out of place to ask for your salary range?

I know , some of us here gave me an advise not to drive on bolt. But I have to for some reasons whic I will state below:

1. I can nolonger keep receiving gift cos I'm now healthy and fit to work.

2. I have not gotten a good job back after several interviews and the few who sent an offer letter has a poor renumeration.

3. I have to start work as soon as possible to feed my home and pay my bills.

4. Last e-hailing is the closest I can do pending the time I get a job and it also give me time to be able to continue perfecting my programming skill.

Thanks you All

Good day, everyone

It's been awhile I last commented.

I want to say thank you to everyone for your support once again. We really appreciate you all.

I'm back on my feet. Healthy, same as my wife.

We have been going for job interviews, and still hoping to get an offer.

However, I have decided to hit the streets of lagos since my online programing skill is not paying off at the moment.

And so far last week driving on bolt. I am very lucky and blessed with surges and tips.

One knows the true gender of Nairalanders when accidents occur. This forum. Lol.

Genders are all written behind the moniker names. And mine has been (m) meaning male since 2017 I joined. And never for once claim another gender.

NOTE; Moniker means nickname not real name.

It is well.

Tgiirl I'm Soo sad you're in this predicament. I had a very serious accident some months back though nobody got injured but I still get traumas and I can't imagine how you'd be right now. I hope the Good Lord gives you the strength to pass through this moment and stand back on your feet better.

Me now, I still have visions of when I had accident.. like ion know if I'm mentally fit well enough. I go just siddan dey think deeply sey assuming sey I don die nko...I grateful for my Life and yours

Very true, how it happened often keep playing in my head. And often wake up in shock before knowing that it was just a playback in my head

It was a terrible experience.

Hmm... I can imagine! It is well my brother... But please what ever the case maybe don't go back to driving when you've finally back on your feet

I believe you're maximizing this period to learn an IT skills with one of those online sites shared here some time ago. This is a good time since you've all the time to learn with no kids disturbing.

Yes, I'm working on coding to became a full stack developer. I ve learnt html, css, and javascript. And now practicing . But light is terrible here. And running generator is too costly for me without an income

Tgirl is an old member of this thread.

Yes, I start driving on uber and taxify(now bolt) in 2018 for partner, then bought honda civic on the job, before getting a job at a bank in 2019/2020.

Lose the job in 2020 covid crisis and my car was in bad condition. Then I signed up with my recent partner after lockdown till the accident September 29, 2021. 10months ago
