Oga I am sure this is your first comment on this thread please know it now that the person you are quoting is not an Igbo man he is an impostor trying to instigate trouble, stop quoting him
Yes likely, he is an impostor. I responded earlier because some gullibles might swallow his lies hook and sinker without enquiry. When he said that Jim Nwobodo is a local champion, I realized that it is vain to argue with him. Jim Nwobodo that defeated all the aspirants in the second republic and governed the old anambra(comprising present day Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states) for 4 years followed by chief CC Onoh. Chief Nwobodo was among the G34 that formed PDP contested for the presidential flagbearer in 1999 with Obj and Ekwueme. And was the major reason, Ekwueme lost the ticket to Obj because of what he did to him in 1983. Dr Barth Nnaji is an academia and technocrat known in the globe.

pazienza:
Let's do a bit of psychoanalysis here, shall we.
Below is the quote by your fellow Anioma brother.

Igbos are greedy? How so? Abacha is not Igbo, yet he is the highest looter of Nigerian treasury. IBB, OBJ, etc.
All the greatest looters of Nigerian treasury, non is Igbo. OBJ was so greedy that after successful second term, he went around lobbying for third tenure. And even as we speak, Yorubas are scheming to become president again after Buhari, when they know that NC and SE are yet to have their turn.

Dominating nature? This is again an empty accusation, no where in Nigeria history had Ndiigbo tried to take things from other groups forcefully or lord over them.
We have Fulanis herdsmen running amok the entire NC killing and dispossesing people of their lands, we have a Fulani president who had northernized the country political appointments.
No one accuses them of trying to dominate others. Every property Ndiigbo acquire outside Igboland, we always buy with our hard earned money.
So when people speak of domination of Ndiigbo, pray tell what they mean, if not our hard fought suceess.

An Igbo business partner cheating you? If this were true, then Igbo businesses would have all closed down. Business sustainability is based on trust and confidence, no customer would continue patronizing a business man or partner who cheated him. Igbos couldn't have dominated the informal trading sector of Nigeria, so much that even indigenes would prefer to patronize an Igbo trader than their fellow indigene who owns a shop close to that of the Igbo man.
I served in a rural community in Yoruba land, one of the biggest shops in the community was operated by an Igbo man, he told me he only came to that community a year ago before I came, yet his shop is booming, so much that the indigenous shops around him had mostly been ran out of business , and the few ones around him still open are all scanty and barely surviving, and as expected, all of the indigenous shop owners are envious of the man. Yet their fellow townsmen prefer to patronize the Igboman than them.

We know all these accusations are borne out of atavistic envy.

Yet, you never sought to correct him. You were more interested in protecting your own Anioma stead. You expect Ndiigbo to accommodate insults and false allegations from your belligerent brothers without reacting, even when you wouldn't caution them, but you are quick to jump in the defend your belligerent ones, when we go hard against them.

Action will always begot reactions. As long as you keep having belligerent Igbophobic entities amongst you, who would join the rest of Nigeria to malign and demonize Ndiigbo, the likes of me will not fail to react and do so without looking back. This is a promise I made to myself, long ago.
Very coherent and unbiased response. Kudos

Obi1kenobi:
You're comparing entirely different things. State and clan parochialism exists among groups. It is worst among Igbos. As I said Bianca Ojukwu, a woman who married an Anambra man and had Anambra children had her Anambrarian identity questioned because some clowns were supporting Ifeanyi Ubah. You must also have missed the part where I said Igbos are peaceful, so what's the point telling me they don't kill themselves. That has nothing to do with Igbo unity, but a general value Igbos attach to life, unlike our Northern brethren or the oft-violent political unrests in the SW and SS. Yorubas culturally and politically are a more united bloc than Igbos. I'd consider this in realm of empirical fact when observing Nigerian socio-politics. Their institutions like their royal fathers and socio-cultural groups like Afenifere wield more influence among them and their Yoruba identity trumps their religion.

And let's stop kidding ourselves. I didn't make my observations because one or two Igbo people on here embarrass themselves. Nairaland is a big community with over a million members and in many ways is a microcosm of wider society. And Igbos here exhibit the greatest internal strife by far. More than all other groups combined. It does play out in wider Igbo interactions and it's also exhibited when Igbos are trading barbs with SS Igboid groups. Why is it that no Hausa or Yoruba groups have this identity crisis? Why always Igbos. To say it's because of "jealousy" like someone asserted earlier is exactly the problem. Ogun people are an incredibly accomplished people. I'd say they're the only state whose indigenes are more accomplished than Anambrarians. I have never in my life seen a thread where Ogun people are insulting Ekiti or Kwara or Kogi people about how superior they are. Anambrarians do it all the time to their fellow Igbos. They are well-known braggarts. And until we cure that illness of arrogance, it's going to keep reflecting poorly on us and other Igbo groups in the SS would always be wary of us.
Your observation on the bragging attitude of Anambraians is correct and you will agree with me that this is coming from large mouthed poor folks from there who saw little fortunes. You can't see such disposition from the successful elites like Peter Obi, Soludo, Achebes and Innoson etc. On the issue of Unity, i beg to disagree with you because 2015 general election proved you wrong as ndigbo demonstrated unity and one voice in rejecting PMB. Another example is during the Nigeria-Biafra war, Ndigbo displayed a united front. The major bane in Alaigbo is our political class which are divided along their selfish parochial interests and thus they have lost their influence among the masses which have queued up for IPOB.

TundeBricklayer:
Rubbish
Stop fooling yourself, during 2015 election Ambode state of origin took center stage, same Lagos indigenes are still questioning Tinubu state not minding Lagos is a cosmopolitan state, Yorubas hate themselves more than Igbos, Igbos can yab themselves but never fight or kill themselves, they are united more than any tribe in Nigeria, go to various markets in Nigeria and beyond, every Sunday they unite and hold various town meetings across all states, coming together during new yam and end of the year meetings. We know how Christians, traditional worshippers fight themselves in west, even how Obas fight themselves, how Yorubas fight Eguns, may be I should remind you how Ondo parents doesn't what their children to marry Ijebu people. Can you show me and link where Catholics and Anglicans are killing themselves in the east or where Anambra people killing Ebonyians, don't take because of two more inconsequential idiots displaying online to condem others, Igbo unity that's what made them recover so quick after the war No tribe is perfect
Your analysis is intelligent and fair with a lot of references to back them up. That few insignificant mass of ndigbo displayed their online/media rantings against others is never the correct picture of the situations. It is fallacious and misleading to assume such.

We Are All Igbos!
I CAN'T POSSIBLY SPEAK AND BARE IGBO NAMES, AND CLAIM NOT TO BE IGBO!
My name is Oriahi Anthony kikachukwu.
I am from Agbor. I speak Agbor dialect of Ika language. My name as listed above is an amalgamation of Bini, English and Igbo. So where am i from? Who am i? Obviously am not an Englishman. If my ancestors are from bini, how come the names of our physiological features , our food and diets are Igbo? While we may not necessary be from across the Niger, available evidence indicates that we the Agbor and the Ika people as a whole and the Igbos have thesame origin .
It is not possible for me to speak Igbo and still claim not to be Igbo.
It is not possible for me to speak Igbo and claim to come from bini.
The bini empire influenced us by conquest, and that is why share some little things like names and some words.

Killings: Igbo group issues quit notice to Fulani herdsmen
Raphael Ede, Enugu
No longer comfortable with the numerous killings in various parts of the country, Igbo pressure group, Voice from the East (VEAST) has given the Fulani herdsmen in the South East as well as Anioma, in Delta State, and Ikwere in Rivers State, up till August 31, 2018 to vacate their land and forests.
The group which embarked on a peaceful protest Tuesday in Enugu warned that should the armed herdsmen fail to leave after the ultimatum, they would mobilise boys to comb forests and lands, to send them packing.
VEAST pointed out that they may even resort to killing the herdsmen should they become adamant and refuse to leave.
Carrying placards that read in part, “Fulani herdsmen should vacate Igboland before 31 August, 2018. Fulani herdsmen, vacate Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo states, land and forest before 31st August. Military work with Fulani herdsmen,” the group said quit notice is a result of the Federal Government inaction or tacit support of herdsmen menace.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the demonstration, Convener of the group, Comrade Kindness Jonah, said that government’s inability to check the killings necessitated the issuance of the quit notice.
“We carried out the demonstration for the sole purpose of giving quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igboland, the five South Eastern states as well as Anioma and Ikwerre land.
“The aberrant killings by Fulani herdsmen purposely unchecked by Federal Government and military instigated this quit notice.
“At Ezi Nze in UDI Local Government Area of Enugu State, Fulani herdsmen kidnapped several young men, demanding N2 million compensation for purported killing of undisclosed number of cows, out of which N6000,000.00 has been paid.
“VEAST sees this as an affront of the highest order which can no longer be tolerated in Igboland.
” After 31st August, 2018, since nobody holds the monopoly of violence and for the mere fact that the Nigerian military and police are working secretly, openly with the herdsmen, VEAST will galvanise young men from all Igboland to enter Igbo forests to kill and butcher any Fulani herdsmen,” he said.

Double trouble.
Barely two weeks now, there was a News that Medical science in Nigeria has upgraded their academic/clinical curriculum to Doctorate degree. ie, they will spend 6 years in school, like physicians, and graduate as a doctor of MLS. This, in no doubt generated a lot of controversy between the physicians and scientists. A lot of debate, reactions and counter reactions has been going on since then and those against it (the NMA members) have been reasoning and doubting the feasibility of such in Nigeria.
Today, Physiotherapy has been elevated to that same enviable height of awarding doctor of Physical therapy (DPT) after first degree in University. Radiography is on the way. Pharmacy too have there's etc.
The question now is ' what will become of some physicians who always hang their shoulders high just because of the title 'Dr.' ? How will NMA allow this to take effect when they have been reasoning that it is only their members has that seemed birth rite to answer in a hospital? When everybody becomes doctor now, where will they go and hind their pride and ego that has crippled the nations health system? Meanwhile, not all of them are like that, mana ndi agwaru amarugo.
Up DPT!!!
DMLS!!

You have come to stay and no one can stop you.

I don't have time to argue with sentimental dullards like you
Don't mind him. He's a charlatan and biased. He was very fast in alleging that an Igbo man requested for annulment of June 12 election result and generalized the anomaly to all igbos
But in another vein, that election adjudged be the freest and fairest election was conducted by Electoral commission (National Electoral Commission) under the chairmanship of another Igbo man by name Prof. Humphrey Nwosu. Prof Nwosu was courageous enough in announcing the election even though it angered the military junta. So his analysis of political events is lazy.

Canada facing growing need for physiotherapy as Canadians get older
NEWS PROVIDED BY
Conference Board of Canada
May 31, 2018, 09:00 ET
OTTAWA, May 31, 2018 /CNW/ - The number of Canadian seniors who will access physiotherapy services is forecast to more than double to reach 1.5 million by 2035, according to a new report by The Conference Board of
Canada titled, Aging Well: Implications of an Aging Population for Physiotherapy in Canada.
"For seniors, the process of aging or even performing day-to-day activities in the home may lead to health conditions that could require physiotherapy services. And with the population aging rapidly, the number of Canadians with these conditions is likely to become more pronounced," said Thy Dinh, Director, Health Economics and Policy, The Conference Board of Canada.
Highlights
As the Canadian population ages, the number of seniors with conditions potentially requiring physiotherapy, such as hip and knee replacements, arthritis, stroke and even frailty, will increase.
The number of seniors who will access physiotherapy services is expected to jump from 566,000 in 2014 to 1.5 million by 2035.
Meeting the rising demand for physiotherapy services will be difficult as physiotherapists are already in short supply.
In 2014, Canadians aged 65 and over made up 15.7 per cent of the population, this is expected to rise to nearly 24 per cent by 2035. As the Canadian population ages, the number of seniors with conditions potentially requiring physiotherapy, such as hip and knee replacements, arthritis, stroke and even frailty, will also increase. As a result, the number of seniors who will access physiotherapy services is expected to jump from 566,000 in 2014 to 1.5 million by 2035.
The aging of the population is also expected to have an impact on seniors' demand for continuing care. Maintenance of mobility, independence and functionality are essential to helping senior stay at home, and this requires physiotherapy services such as exercise classes and fall prevention. The number of seniors needing and receiving continuing care is projected to double by 2035 to 2.9 million.
However, meeting the rising demand for physiotherapy services will be difficult as physiotherapists are already in short supply, especially in rural and remote communities. It will require collaborative efforts among educators, governments, and health care service providers. Strategies to increase the number of physiotherapist and physiotherapist assistants include:
ensuring adequate education and training;
attention to recruitment and retention practices for rural settings;
leveraging existing technologies for service delivery; and
fostering innovation in new technologies to improve access.
The report was funded by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and The Conference Board of Canada's Canadian Alliance for Sustainable Health Care.
