Benite:This is pure media deception.. Read this! Pages of newspaper has never been an avenue to disseminate information. Some overzealous individuals did that but we are following due process before we make an informed statement which will be documented in black and white. However until you hear from the leadership, STRIKE CONTINUES Com. Obisesan,O.A General Secretary |
ultron12345:Bros, It is obvious you are dreaming in the day induced by stress and frustration following JOHESU strike action, wake up now I beg. Rather if you must dream, I urge you instead to dream in the night so that you will perceive reality better. In the recent history of health sector, this is a complete lockdown. like one US President once said, when injustice becomes a law and modus operandi, resistance and civil disobedience become the order of the day. Current crop of JOHESU are saying enough is enough to the injustice and rot in the NMA led health sector which is among the worst in the globe. |

danilmo:No I am not a nurse. I am a Physiotherapist. |
funmisticqueen:I know your type and unfortunately have seen your likes in the hospital. Like I said, further engagement with you concerning industrial harmony in health sector is an exercise in futility and thus I am urging you to pay close attention to the advice of late Senator Chuba Okadigbo- If you are emotionally attached to your trade and any social leaning to the point that truth and justice become secondary considerations, your education and exposure is useless. If you cannot reason beyond petty sentiments, you are a liability to your kith and kin. On this note, You may continue your toothless ranting but I am through with you period. |
danilmo:You are daft. I am not here for secondary school debate and I must not be responding to all comments much especially ones that are full of bias. Once I made my point, I will not keep repeating and gesticulating it. I also made mention of a veterinary Dr becoming US Surgeon general. Kwara state has appointed a nurse to be the substantive commissioner of health. Leadership of health sector should be open to competent administrators drawn from all stakeholders. I am done with you. If you like keep pursuing shadow and reactive to the positive dawn coming to Nigeria's health sector. Dnaz: danilmo:You are daft. funmisticqueen:You have a problem but I can't really figure it out. Your comments scattered in all these threads since JOHESU industrial action are subjective to say the least, riddled with morbid fear and blind to one side of the divide. Your mind is already biased and closed up to reasoning and not worthy for any further engagement in this matter. |
Dnaz:she was not the only non physician to be appointed as surgeon general in US.It is a fact that her name is in the list of Surgeon General of US. Even a veterinarian and one other nurse had attained such positions. but can this happen in Nigeria? all the past and current ministers of health and ministers of state of health from 80s till date are all physicians with the resultant decay and rot in the sector. I repeat till Nigeria start appointing capable and competent hands drawn from all stakeholders(- JOHESU and NMA) with rich resume and track records to manage and lead our health sector from primary to tertiary level, we will still be witnessing a gigantic failed health system in the whole wide world. |
Paperwhite:You lied, NMA strike does not paralyze all services in the hospital. Except low inpatient services, Our physiotherapy outpatient clinics(Surgical/Orthopedic, paediatrics, medicine/neuro) are very busy and unaffected. |
phase1:You are perfectly right. I hope his understanding will not failing him due to arrogance and petty sentiments. |
olutop:Let him google it. No need for asking consultant. Or better still, let him read some of my topics here in nairaland, I did some justice to it. pp continues |
JOHESU is winning the fight. The current strike recorded huge success. It not only paralyzed health services at both state and federal health facilities nationwide, it also served as enlightenment to the public of the rot going in the sector. In the public poll conducted by the nation newspaper,83% Nigerians voted that health minister should be fired for his gross incompetence. I have observed the following as the characteristics of NMA namely: 1. Arrogance and egotism as if they are the master and owners of the entire health sector 2. Sheer ignorance, daft and reactive to positive dawn coming to health sector which has been ravaged by their decades of misrule and retrograde steps to oblivion. 3. Poor human relationship skills when dealing with patients, colleagues and other professions in the team During this strike, The New York Times mocked President Buhari for seeking medical care in UK while the health workers' strike have crippled the sector. Four states like Lagos, sokoto, yobe and Kwara state have agreed to the demands of JOHESU. The hallmark of it is that Lagos state govt has appointed consultancy cadre for pharmacist; A nurse appointed Kwara state commissioner of health. In my candid opinion, JOHESU should sustain the ongoing strike, Let Ministry of health first obey all the court injunctions in favour of JOHESU. Aluta Continua |
Gullah:You said it all. Half obedience is the same as rebellion. The Bible tenets stand valid throughout all ages and times. |
Very good development. A new dawn is coming to revive the rot and stagnation in the health sector. JOHESU all the way. |
larrrymore:God bless you. That guy is a quota system Dr. He is a confused man. Dont mind him.I have ignored him because his problem is malignant. |
Bidexgarl:Dear, don't quote out of context when I was responding a jamboree that called himself a physician. A physiotherapist has a clinical expertise and autonomy to prevent, treat and rehabilitate an underlying cause and a disorder of structure or function using noninvasive techniques. Take time and read all my position in this thread. Also look into the WHO and Intl labour organization definition of Physiotherapist or Physical therapist. WHO didn’t mince word saying that ‘Physiotherapists assess, plan and implement rehabilitative programs that improve or restore human motor functions, maximize movement ability, relieve pain syndromes, and TREAT or prevent physical challenges associated with injuries, diseases and other impairments. They apply a broad range of physical therapies and techniques such as movement, ultrasound, heating, laser and other techniques. They may develop and implement programmes for screening and prevention of common physical ailments and disorders. ILO in classifying their job stated that “Physiotherapists and related associate professionals TREAT disorders of bones, muscles and parts of the circulatory or the nervous system by manipulative methods, and ultrasound, heating, laser or similar techniques, or apply physiotherapy and related therapies as part of the treatment for the physically disabled, mentally ill or unbalanced. As a physiotherapist, I prevent, treat and rehabilitate some conditions. But if you are threaten by my job roles, then you have a problem not me. Thanks |
MrBigiman:If it's not a new dawn, then what's it Mr Bigiman? Why is happening now? Go back to the story and read the reason the Governor made for doing so? Let me copy and paste the statement of His Excellency- The executive Governor of Kwara state has taken it up to inform and show the world that he is a fair and just leader who appoint leaders and officers based on merit rather than their affiliations. |

Hairyrapunzel:Let me sound this to you as it has becoming my routine these days when confronted by medical illiterates like you. Just as the great Ikemba once said: "Having a dialogue with my country men is like having a dialogue with the deaf; it requires a great deal of repetition, a great deal of shouting and a great deal of gesticulation. In spite of all these efforts, you still run the risk of being misunderstood". You are simply daft, deaf or arrogant. You are very good in raising dust but very poor to substantiate those nothing with intelligent argument backed with logical answer and facts. I explain what disease is all about, instead of taking ample time to digest it, you conjured up nonsense. I see you have a fundamental problem and that's shallow understanding. Stop taking coffee and be hallucinating. Stop cramming for my point is not all those pathways in biochemistry. If you don't have anything to say again, keep mute than exhibiting a broad day light audacious ignorance. This is 21st century(age of information) and not dark ages where coercion is a tool in reasoning. I am a Physiotherapist. I know my job description and I owe you no further explanation as your mind is locked up with key of prejudice and illiteracy. I am through with you. |
