striker9: I dunno why people think this guy will fail at City, though City might not be the best club in managing young players but I think its good for him, facing tougher challenges from now will only boost his confidence in the future. It would have been a disaster for him to be a bench warmer in Porto just like Rabiu when he was in Lisbon. All he needs his our support and I wish him success.
On the contrary, his decision to move to Man City would grossly dent his confidence. Most of the players there are better and he would mostly be overlooked.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: UEFA Champions League Round Of 16 Draw On 16 December 2013 by Theben(m):
When the Group Stage draw came out, I predicted all English teams making it out of their respective groups. They all did not disappoint me. People were claiming that Manchester United and Arsenal would falter in their difficult groups. While United were able to win the group, Arsenal finished with the same point with the eventual group winner.

Now I'm predicting again that all the English teams would make it to the quarter finals. Doubters should not hesitate to quote me at the end of the second leg of this round of 16.

If there is any team capable of preventing Bayern Munich from retaining the trophy, the team should be Arsenal.

Pellegrini's understanding of Barcelona style of play will do the magic for them against City.

pasqal09: Man City v Barca:

Aguero v Messi
Neymar v Nasri
Iniesta v Silva
Yaya Toure v Xavi
Kompany v Pique
There is Fernadinho, Negredo and Dzeko standing somewhere watching.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Tottenham Sacks Andre Villas-Boas by Theben(m):
He's still a young manager. My advice for him now is to take a break from football. If he feels like coaching a premiership team again, then he should understudy bigger managers like Mourinho or Pellegrini.

Moreover, Chelsea have been Vindicated for sacking him.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: UEFA Champions League Round Of 16 Draw On 16 December 2013 by Theben(m): 12:56pm On Dec 16, 2013
Manchester City Vs Barcelona
Olympaikos Vs Manchester United
AC Milan Vs Athe Madrid
Bayer Leverkusen Vs PSG
Galatasaray Vs Chelsea
Schalke Vs Real Madrid
Zenit Vs Dortmund
Arsenal vs Bayern

Arsenal Bayern game is 50-50. Either of the two teams can qualify, but I favour Arsenal to go through. Last season, Arsenal needed just a goal to overturn Bayern 3-0 first leg win. And to think that this is a very much improved Arsenal team. Gamblers had better not risk their expensive properties on this game cos the out come can be suicidal.

At last, this section finally has a moderator. Although i don't like her, but still better than having a modless section.

@Topic, i expected more world leaders at this funeral than the ones at the memorial service. All in all, madiba lived a great life, he accorded himself respect from various races and i hope he rests at the bossom of the lord almighty.

Afam4eva: Useless and tactless team with tactless fans. We're discussing world class teams here who will be battling it out at the world club competition and the only thing your mouth could muster is chelsea. I want to use this opportunity to say "God punish chelsea". Pls leave this thread before you turn it into a garage where chelsea dry gin and kparaga is taken freely.
Lolz, God punish Barca too. Never in my life have i seen a supposed invincible team getting pummeled by German underachievers. Barcelona are disgrace among the elite Champions league holders.

More annoying is the fact that a team as rich as barca, parading world class stars failed to perform in the absence of just one player.

Btruth: - Kano (the most commercialize city after Lagos)
- Ibadan (the biggest city in West Africa)
- Port Harcourt (the most well developed oil city in Africa)
That was in the nineties. Cairo, Johannesburg and Lagos have taken over.

Chelsea will humiliate arsenal at the emirate. Liverpool should not even be mentioned among the teams that are likely to pose threat against chelsea. 6 points is assured from both fixtures. Mark my words.
Business › Re: What Are The Products Nigeria Make? by Theben(m): 9:02pm On Dec 13, 2013
speedyboi: No country produces everything in the world! That's the reason importation and exportation exists. To your question

-Automobiles (Cars, Trucks, Buses) - The only country with vehicle manufacturing company in Africa
-Computers
-Cement - Largest producer in Africa.
-Electrical Cables
-Refined Sugar
-Processed Consumables (Corn flakes, Milk, Chocolate, Peanut snacks, Rice etc)
-Drinks (Chivita, Dansa, Five alive etc).
-Fabrics and clothes
-Cosmetic Products
-Kitchen Utensils.
-Insecticides

and a lot more!
If you think Nigeria is not producing anything, it only goes to show you know nothing about your country!
Mechionu gi! Is south africa not an african country?

Peak milk made in holland sells for 120Naira while the Nigerian version is sold at the rate 100Naira despite having the same quality. Yet more people request for the Holland made milk. And you guys expect a producer to label his product with made in nigeria?
Lol no matter how high the eagle flies it can never reach the stars. I seriously think African teams along with some South America teams is going to be the dark horse. I think this will be the most unpredictable World Cup in history. I wouldn't want to bet money on any team.
Ofcourse, Eagle cannot reach the real star no matter how it flies. However, since I came to this world, I've never mistakenly seen a star that is black. Leading me to conclude that black star can only be found in Ghana (on the ground). While the Eagles have severally been sighted in the sky(atmosphere) of Ghana.

PetroDolla2: whack a con! supa chinchins are whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? did you say the supa chinchins are miles ahead of the Mighty Black Stars? and how is that? can you substantiate that? Ghana has won afcon 4 times, Nigeria 3 times. Ghana has reached world cup q-final.Ghana has beaten Nigeria far more times than Nigeria has beaten Ghana. Ghana is currently rated 2nd best in Africa by FIFA, compared with 4th place for Nigeria. should I continue? hahahahaha fuckeduppedness grin grin grin in fact we Ghanaians even taught you Nigerians how to play the game of football. grin grin grin

Ask segun Odegbami
Stop boasting with rusted trophies biko. Was there offside rule the last time Ghana won the afcon? Were you born? Was there back pass rule? And how many countries were represented in that tournament?

So you may know, Nations cup had no pedigree when Ghana won it. Win the modern edition first before coming to boast about the superiority of the black stars.

phrezzz: talking to make ghana fans feel better haaha
Lol. I don't owe them anything and I have nothing to gain from them. Why would I set out to just flatter a team? They've proven their mettle and if we are to set sentiment aside, we would know that their team is not pushover. Although the Eagles are miles ahead of them.
How is Germany overhyped, if anything the only overhyped team is Portugal. Portugal is a one man team. Stop cr7 which is nearly impossible and you will beat portugal. phrezzz: errm sir the eygpt they placed against was not the eygpt we know. Apparently most of eygpt stars are retired u cant compare the eygpt of 2010 with the one of 2013. Ghana couldnt even beat them in cairo and thanks to some penalties. Portugal on the other hand are now leaving off the presence of Ronaldo. They can boast of strong midfied now with good pace. Micheal essiene isnt in good form this ghana side could not beat boki nafaso, japan and mali who they beat ghana 5-4 on penalties, 3-1 each respectively.
The Egypt they played was the same Egypt we prayed to avoid. And they also happened to be the only team that went to the play-off stage with 18 points from the 2nd qualification stage. They neither drew nor lose any single game before meeting Ghana.
