Tolexander: what is the main purpose of loning out a player if not to gather much experience to make him more mature to the standard of the parent club?
How will playing in Ghana develope him than playing in nigeria?
He has a better option, why settling for mediocrity when there is a better alternative?
Don't mind him. I'm sure he would be somewhere sipping alomo and boasting about what they have achieved in their country with the signing of Kelechi. Thank God the deal fell through.grin grin grin. We for nor hear word again.

SantaMafia: who is talking about better or not?if a club signs a player and loans him out, what's wrong with that?is it the first time this has happened?
How will loaning him to Ghana help his career? If Ghana is his destination after signing for city, he should remain in Nigeria and wait for a more promising offer.

ayusco: Tnx your list is great too but I disagree on yobo being in our best xi yes he was athletic and had good natural ability but his reading of danger is/was poor. Moses v get potential na lol
Joseph Yobo- Highly energetic, fast and efficient in dealing with set piece. He also scored some important goals for Super Eagles. Above all, he's the only Nigerian player to have been capped 96 times.

If both cooperate, the north would be thoroughly marginalised. The unity of Nigeria according to the Author lies in the continuous dispute between Yoruba and Igbo

The Igbo are well known for their adventures within the Country into various ethnic groups. You cannot but wonder why many call for separate nations more than others as if they would rather ask for visas into these separate nations in Nigeria.
This is what i seem not to understand. The major beneficiary of a united Nigeria clamouring for seccession?
Sports › Re: Super Eagles All Time Eleven by Theben(op):
naija noni: The only fault in dat team is ambrose.
Is it because he won d afcon ?.
Even Chidi odia and Yusuf mohammed(dont know where he is) were a better right backs.
The right back position is about the only position we're yet to produce an exceptional talent. Efe Ambrose having been listed in the CAF 11 earlier this year for his contribution in the AFCON inspired my mentioning him on my list.

Not only did he participate in the AFCON, he was very influential. Won the man of the match in two of the games.

However, he still has a lot to do to be considered a legend.
Sports › Re: Super Eagles All Time Eleven by Theben(op): 12:00pm On Dec 24, 2013
nedu2000: I will rather pair uche okechukwu with christian chukwu and joseph yobo(played in dat position 4 4yrs) right-back,efe ambrose isn't good enough
Joseph Yobo was a great centre back for Nigeria. He scored so many important goals for us. And his defense was great until now. I remember my cousin boasting about his inclusion in 2004 nations cup squad. His statement then was "having yobo in our defense is like sealing a wall with concrete, nothing can penetrate".

We forget things easily in this country. Yobo should arguably be the best all time Nigerian defender IMO
Sports › Super Eagles All Time Eleven by Theben(op): 11:12am On Dec 24, 2013
Here is my list

Goal keeper
Vincent Enyeama

Defenders

Left back--- Benedict Iroha
Centre back1 ---- Joseph Yobo
Centre back 2 ---- Christian chwukwu
Right back ---- Efe Ambrose (arguable)

Midfielders

Defensive midfielder --- Sunday Oliseh
Centre Midfielder --- Austin Okocha
Attacking Midfielder ---- Nwankwo Kanu

Attackers
Right wing ---- Finidi George
Left wing ---- Emmanuel Amunike
Striker---- Yekinni

Reserve --- Peter Rufai, Segun Odegbami, Mikel Obi, Stephen Keshi, Daniel Amokachi, Uche Okechukwu, Taribo West.

From the list of 11 players, Only Kanu Nwankwo failed to win an AFCON trophy. He is however the most decorated of them all.

Joseph Yobo, though was not a key player in the team that won the last AFCON trophy, his role in the Eagles Jersey since his first cap for Nigeria cannot be overlooked.

You all are free to dispute my list and present yours.

Syenite: And u think Swansea is a wolkover for Chelsea. U guys better watch ur back cos Everton and Newcastle are jst inches behind u. grin
This is just the first half of the season. The mediocre teams you just mentioned would fall by the road side. The only threat to Chelsea's Premiership title ambition is Manchester City. No Chelsea fan is perturb to have Arsenal on top of the table at the moment cos we know they don't have what it takes to remain there.

I implore the federal government to impose total ban on car importation. Tariff increment won't encourage much patronage cos most Nigerians would prefer to pay exhorbitant fee for a foreign made car.
Car Talk › Re: Made-In-Nigeria Vehicles To Sell For N1.2m – FG by Theben(m): 5:19am On Dec 23, 2013
Good development. This is exactly how the industrial revolution started in China. Early in the 80s, the chinese closed their borders and ceased the importation of goods from any other country. They believed they're are capable of producing all they needed to survive.

Despite starting with production of fake products, they kept improving on their imperfection. And today, we all can withness the immense changes the decision of 30 years ago brought to the chinese.

Jonathan has taken a good step, and i hope he can go further by totally closing the border from the importation of goods we're capable of producing.

Thank you o my brother. Burkina Faso, Venezuella, England, Scotland and USA would also be great teams to launch a stadium with.
