Hello House,

On form IMM 1294 I was asked how much is available for my stay. I have 10000 cad in my account right now for living expenses. first semester has been paid. should my anwser only reflect how much i have in my own account for living expenses?

Yes, the 57k covers biometrics.

Take two passport photographs along.

You will be needing it. Just in case you bring the wrong size of passport photographs, you might need to snap another. There is a place you can do that there.

In summary, Take more than 57k along, just in case, and try to get the right passport photographs
Thank you so much.

Thank you very much, this piece is very helpful!
Good morning Fam!

I would like to confirm if the fee of 57,000 stated for paper route covers biometrics or I have to still pay a different fee.
Secondly I learnt that If I am doing Biometrics, I wouldnt need to present passport photographs.

I want to know how much i should hold with me as I am submitting tomorrow.

Good evening house,

I just printed out my bank statement from the nearest bank and a friend just told me I need a cover letter from the bank to add to it. How true is this?

LOE and SOP are same names for one beast. Only one needs to be included, not both. Reasons for why you are going to study and why study in Canada and why not in Nigeria and why you think you would come back to Nigeria after your studies, should be effectively explained. Short, concise and straight to the point. Good luck!
Thank you bro. God bless our husstle in Jesus name. Amen

All good and dandy if you add LOE. If you are doing paperoute just a heads up, the officials at embassy contracted outpost have an eye for detecting errors and can help you arrange your documents in the order they should go.
Hello Jnyuwa02,

Thank you for the heads up. Just a quick one, should my LOE only contain explanation of all documents submitted and what they stand for/represent? Do I still need to put reason why I am going to study since its already in my SOP?

Austinpee4:
You are absolutely good to go. As per notorizing of document, it should only be in a case of no official signature/stamp or seal on the document. The essence of notorizing any document especially for the Canadian visa application is to show it's authenticity when there are no seals/stamp/signatures of issuing body or organisation. If you have this on your documents, there is no need to notarize for attestation unless specifically mentioned.

Cc: people in same uncertainty.
Thank you Austinpee4. I appreciate you.

Thebushboy1,
The listed documents of yours are pretty okay. Just make sure your SOP is convincing enough and your intended program is reasonable in light with previous studies/job role and your application will turn out to be successful.

All the best!
Thank you Frankrobbn1

God Bless

Please go ahead this is the best place to address your letters as all correspondence are treated in Ghana. Many SOP's i review I change the address to this one. So you're perfectly correct!
Thanks so much.

I appreciate.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Thebushboy1: 2:09pm On Feb 19, 2018
Frankrobbn1:
Answer 1: Online route : you submit your application using your system, scanner and credit card.
Paper route : You submit directly to the VFS office.
Location : Canada Visa Application Centre, Lagos
Manor Hall, Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way,
Opposite Treasure Garden Estate,
Third Roundabout, Lekki Phase I – Lagos

Answer 2: Your letter of explanation should be typed.

All the best!
Dear Frankrobbn

I addressed all letters to

The High Commission of Canada,
Visa Section,
P.O. Box 1639,
Accra,
Ghana.

Is this okay as I get confused seeing some applicants addressing their to the Lagos office.
Kindly advise if I need to change it or leave it that way as some has been signed already.

Dear family,

Trust we are having a great day!

I am gathering documents to support landed properties to back up my application in the aspect of economic ties.

I have a land I bought a couple of years back which I put out as rent to a block industry. I have the land survey and lease contract.

I manage the following on behalf of my parents as they are of age;
1. A three bedroom flat which is not presently on lease
2. 4 different plots (60 by 120) on the same street which I am trying to get some block industries to rent them.

Would it be advisable I add my parent's properties to mine as part of what my wife will help me manage in my absence to serve as economic tie? My sponsorship has been taken care of by my brother already. Just need to know if its okay to add the documents as my parents are not sponsoring me.

Thank you
Please I await advice. TThanks

Good evening House,

Trust the weekend has been awesome!

Please I would like to find out if its okay for my sponsor (my brother) to do his affidavit of sponsorship in the US. He requested for the format so he can take it to the court to get it done. Will that be accepted?

Kindly advise.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Convert your IELTS scores to the equivalent CLB Level (Check attached to convert).

Step 2: Calculate the points for each CLB Level.

Step 3: Add up the points.

Using your score as an example, the equivalent CLB Level for S 6.5, L 6.5, R 8.5, W 7 is CLB 8, CLB 7, CLB 10 and CLB 9 respectively. Next, calculate the points for each (5, 4, 6 and 6) and add up which will give 21 points.

Hello Friends!

I forgot to add this question to my previous post

i. In the last ten years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have?

Does the above question imply Canadian work experience or the experience you have in your country as I have not seen where to enter the experience I have from my country
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Thebushboy1: 6:50am On Dec 17, 2017
Good Morning friends!

I am new here and i believe I will benefit from the knowledge shared here. I have been reading from part two and i want to quickly ask a question to put my mind at rest.

I am currently evaluating my Bsc credential with WES, I am 33yrs, I already have my Ielts result as S 6.5,L 6.5, R 8.5, W 7.0. and I have more than 3 years work experience as a supply chain supervisor. I would like to know if what I have stated meets minimum requirements for for Express entry. I intent to make my score higher with the provincial nomination from Manitoba. I am required to required to have an active profile first. My concern is that whenever I use the come to Canada tool, I am asked few questions and its says you are not eligible. i am confused as I am not asked questions based on minimum requirements stated. The tool keeps asking me if I have Canadian experience.

Please advise just in case I am not answering the right questions.

Good evening everyone.

I am actually new here and My question is on POF.

Question: If your POF is a gift from brother ( Same Father and Mother) If I present a gift of deed document, must the money still be kept in my account for 6 months or I can use it irrespective of whether its just a month old with me?

Thank you.

Hello Fam,

Trust we are all having a wonderful day!

Although this is my first time asking a question, I have been following this thread for a while. I just want to share my current status and all i have been able to process based on all I have learnt here.

A quick Introduction
I have a Mathematics background with a 2.88/5.0 as my CGPA(Second Class lower) went for NYSC after which I taught Mathematics in a secondary school. I got a better Job in a company and I have been managing the Logistics and Supply chain team for more than 2 years.

Before applying for a PGC in Logistics and supply Chain Management, I have engaged about 4 program coordinators in 4 different universities if my first degree result meets their requirement coupled with the fact that intending students for the program are advised to have a mathematics or statistics background. The responses I got( have them as email) was that my grade was low. So I settled for the PGC. I have my admission and currently arranging my docs for Paper route. I need this training as I have discovered that there is a lot more to the field which I can do better if I get trained and also to begin build my professional career. This is the reason why I wan to go on a study leave for a period of one year.

My Questions

1. My Junior brother (Same Parents) is my sponsor. He is a US Citizen resides and works in US. He is not married yet to he has no one to cater for yet. (Hope there is no issue with a junior sponsoring a senior?) I am married and I have two properties in my name to serve as ties. My brother will cover tuition( although its not enough to convince VOs) and I will provide living expenses as well.

2. Do I have to provide a letter from my previous employer? (School where I taught Maths after NYSC) to go along with the one my current employer will give me.

Thank you.
