Hello house, I wish to carry out a study on gas flaring: why it happens, previous steps adopted by industries to abate it, hypothesis on how to stop it completely and challenges. I would appreciate tips/direction from my seniors in the house, including links and e-materials. Thanks in anticipation...

Let me share this with everybody here so I don’t look selfish. I just got a job at the Nigeria office of a multinational private equity firm. Pay and benefits is very ok….lol…I wnt say more than…its good!
I never applied for the job and seriously don’t know anything about them until now. There is this Institute that sent me an sms early November last year…Institute of Finance and Strategic Business Management…to take a short online course on Global Finance and Investments .

How they got my number and details I don’t know. They said I am one of the top hundred selected for the category. Programme fee was meant to be N96,000 but they said the scheme comes with 90% discounts, so I paid just N9,600.
I took the course that spanned for 8 weeks online ( on my tab) and seriously it was worth more than a million naira to me. I got a certificate in the course and to my surprise less than two weeks after completion I got a call from my present place of work that i was invited on the professional recommendation of the Institute for a management trainee position.

The short course was like an expo for the Interview ..thank God I took it seriously. I think they have schemes in management, finance, accounting etc. They are very thorough … maybe this can help someone. You can send email for further details or your cvs to their enquiries@ifsbm.org.ng. or visit their website and get a contact num there. Even if you don’t get a job through it like I did I’m sure you will love the knowledge. All the best guys. Supo Adeagbo (supoadeagbo@yahoo.com)

Please,

While I am not against anyone promoting his or her business or training programmes, I want to humbly crave your indulgence that you should kindly stop advertising on this thread.

This thread is very crucial to its present and would-be readers.

Filling it up with your posts might tend to derail the good work Xfire started.

Please, kindly take note.

Thanks.

Please you all should stop clogging up this thread with your advertisements. I am not against what you do, but there are there are better ways of getting the ℹnformation across to people, for example you can open your own thread - it's free. There is also the advert section, created exclusively for posts like these. Please let us respect the thread and the vision behind it. It's mission is not yet over, so I don't see why you all should be erecting different billboards here as if it's an abandoned land. Please... I am appealing to the nobler part of your personalities. We don't need to involve the mods yet .One love.

Around this time last year, I checked the career section of nairaland and saw a thread captioned "ACHIEVING THE DREAM CAREER... etc", created by someone with the moniker 'xfire'. I decided to check out the thread and ended up becoming a disciple.

Since then, this thread has uplifted many, revived hopes and illuminated career paths. Even the nairaland '9/11' could not stop the movement - I felt it was over and I made a comment that reflected same when nairaland recovered and comments on this thread stalled. I remember thanking xfire and other contributors, and encouraging others who have surmounted obstacles to attain a noble goal to emulate his (xfire's) laudable desire to inspire others with his story, and finishing off with the statement that this thread has fulfilled its purpose and, thus, is entitled to a well deserved rest. But then the mission was not over. The thread healed like a wounded vampire and bounced back to life. Looking back, I am glad I was wrong.

To all the contributors, more grace upon you I pray. Darellrivers, [/i]you go marry better husband, I swear.[/i] To all who aspire to some noble attainment in any sphere of endeavour, I pronounce favour. Xfire, you thought you created a thread to share your testimony and by so doing encourage others... No bro: when you created this thread, you shone a bright light down a dark alley and put a sturdy ladder down a bleak well.

Happy one year anniversary to this resourceful thread!
Happy 2015 everyone!

Eerrr... but bros, why did the person call you a fool? Thats kinda extreme. Did you try to find out? Was it because of your CV, maybe it wasn't presentable? Something about your approach? Or just because you submitted your CV in their firm, as ridiculous as it sounds? Why? A problem known is half-solved. You need to open up (more).

One important thing now is for one to remain solution oriented and not lose focus. One has to find ways to boost oneself. A masters program should be in order, to supplement the 2.2 degree and make bigger opportunities possible for this entry level stage.

Bros, darellrivers na lady o (and a very remarkable one at that cool ).

You presumed she is male based on the quality of her posts, right? I and many others were guilty of that too (on this thread, before the nairaland '9/11'), and she encouraged us then to iron - as much as we can - the creases of male-chauvinism out of our idiosyncrasies grin

Well darellrivers, and by extension, ladies, an igbo proverb says, "anaghi amu aka ekpe na nka" (meaning its extremely difficult to learn how to use ur left hand as ur dominant hand in ur old age), but we the enlightened male folk shall definitely keep trying our best to be much more balanced in our judgement with respect to the above wink

May the good Lord bless ur hustle bros, and that of everyone on this thread.

TheCode, you come across as a loser. You are in the business before, you fail woefully and your anger now know no bounds. There is no truth in you, so you can never take the simplest truth from a stranger. You have twisted the greenword episode as if it happen to you, what kind of human being is this?

When did I told you paid employment is bad?SMH can marketing replace every form of employment in this world? Is the internet mlm? Is Education sector mlm? Is transportation sector mlm? Everyone is bashing MLM here now which is normal, because average Nigerians enjoy condemning than constructive arguments, its the path of least resistance.

But you chose to come after me even when I bless you at the start, trying to avoid confrontations, but the love for mocking others is too rooted in you, so you are here fighting and twisting my point as if I am the cause of your pain for excelling where you are condemning.

I'm thinking you are a loser, you once fail but never blame your stupidity for your failure, you are still wrathful after many years, looking for whom to devour. MLM is voluntary choice, you are not compel into it. I did not enroll you into it, deal with the institution and your weakness, not me.

Meanwhile, you are a very mean and callous soul for describing those young people trying to do the little they know as at the time to better their lot in life as wretched soul. Is your own soul not wretched with that picture in mind? You have only see them for a moment, not for all lifetime.

You do not know what the future hold for them yet, perhaps in MLM or elsewhere, but you mock them in their trying time as wretched x34, as such, may the good God reward you.

I pity whoever does business with your kind, if all the story-twisting and tirade is your interpretation of simple information from a total stranger. You are a killjoy any day an all knowing, "hard to deal with" and perfect and HONEST fellow. But, what you do cannot come to the open.

I can assure you, if you have difference with a partner, you have potential to kill the person or change all dealing records, kill off witness, re-interpret MOU depending on what is at stake after delivery. You can destroy others' reputation in a rage just for fun.

So this may pray against your own success in your "small business world of dainty people" except you change.
Hehehehehe.... 2prexios, I dont need to prove anything to you. Think what you may, it doesnt change a thing about me. Y'all a**es have already been busted on this thread, stop ranting and trying to save face.

The bit about paid employment is among y'all doctrine; stop pretending.

Since 001BC, scamming people has been the preferred job for loosers for obvious reasons. Do you now see the irony of your post?

I have no problem with networking/MLM and those that choose to engage in it. BUT deceiving people by sending out bogus interview invitations, and lying to their faces about how much money that is being made, is certainly not cool. It's phony; hence, a scam. The least they owe the public is an apology for the deceit yet they keep behaving like they just did one a huge favour by bringing one to a seminar that would lead one straight to heaven. But of course you dont see anything wrong with that, Mr. total stranger. You dont understand why anyone would be peeved by that - how could you?

I know you are going to misconstrue my sentences again, including the metaphorical parts. This is going to be my final reply to you because, seriously, you come across as one with very limited mental capacity.

Me, I'm outta here (but not outta naijasinglegirl blog wink )

Thecode, I have answered you, may your soul find peace. The wretched keep haunting you? Find a field without the poor and redeploy them there. Kindly learn to respect the legit choice of another man, or kill whoever offends you. I share a piece to present my opinion, you twist it around rocket science and find nagging anger. Please respect my respecting you. I can't help your bitterness, its classic. What will your hate or love fetch me? You are acting wounded and so pained. Please free me, I am not responsible for any of your sorrow and agony now. Job comforter plc.
Lolzz... well, I am going to give up on trying to make you see the error of the ways of you and your people. Birds of a feather flock together so your lack of coherence and basic intelligence do not surprise me.

You all claim it is a crime of the highest order to seek paid employment: is 'greenword' your father's company? You take a common marketing job that is not paying its disciples enough to even outdress a motor park tout and paint it as some glorious self-employment opportunity. Is that not a horrible form of self-deceit?

I will say this again with the hope that you would have enough common sense to get the message now: I do not hate you (I dont have the time), I am only filled with disgust at what you and your people do, at the way you scam people into coming to your seminars. Read the posts on this thread and you shall discover everyone feels the same. In a more civilised part of the world, you all could be arrested and sued for this nonsense.

By the way, bitterness, pain, sorrow, agony, etc best describe you and your people who descend to a despicable level of unethical practices to lure unsuspecting citizens into becoming your marketers.

Dude I currently run a small-scale private enterprise on the side, and everyone on my team look healthier and dress way better than all these 'millionaire' mlm/networkers scamming people into coming to their seminars.

I have no problem with those who chose networking as a form of business, but they should BE HONEST about what they do. Simple.

job scammer plc.

Feel free to vent your annoyance, I choose direct marketing consciously after reading numbers of investment books. Your resentments may be borne out of inability to learn something you don't understand. You never met me but you are fill with the perfect hatred for someone you don't know. That's sort of sickness. I wish you work on this area and be tolerant. God cares. Move up to your success, God bless.
No one hates u dude, I am simply filled with disgust at what you and your wretched-looking "direct marketing experts" do. I am not abusing you or them, God is my witness that your fellow "marketing expert" I met in Owerri was wretched-looking, raised to power 34.

Better find an honest, legitimate job - scamming people via bogus marketing/networking claims is a chronic disease in itself.

If the GNLD business is as good as you and your people claim (with millions of cash and exotic trips at every corner), why do you all resort to lies and fake job advertisements in order to attract people to join you? Is that not the vilest form of desperation? Lol.

4 ur mind now, investment and direct marketing na rocket science for d enlightened few wey dey get proteges by scamming dem into coming to fake job interviews... grin

Hillarious indeed. Sometimes back, we were discussing TB Josuah and miracles and healing for HIV. A man express a strong reservation. Then I narrated a story my friend told me about a broke hiv positive fellow who had been surviving on gnld product. when the gnld guy couldnt continue providing the drug for the hiv guy, he took him to sinagog and miracle happened, acodin to my friend. The man I was speaking to ask me to stop for a sec., he said once upon a time his wife was semi paralized and no drug prove effective until they tried gnld. my wife is so strong now thanks to those people, he said. I am not in gnld though a networker. It is a nitche of business, you may not like their idiosyncracies, it is not a scam sir, if it is gnld.
See them... oga take several seats to the back joor. The op was even very polite. Ladies and gentlemen, last yr I had same experience in Owerri (that was during the NUC strike).

I and my pals located the place with some difficulty - a rented hall in owerri town. I spent over 300 blessed naira to get there.

Let me not bore u all with the ridiculous details because everything was almost exactly as the op described. The only difference was that there were many more (mostly naive) people, we were divided into groups, and there was no final process or test - we were told there and then to invest in gnld and be rich overnight.

I dont know why they didnt think of hiring a clean set of suits for their "speakers" so as to make them look the part at least, and help their hustle. The guy was telling us, "As I am here talking with u, I have money making for me in abuja, I have money making for me in Enugu, I have money making for me in Kaduna... etc...", yet his 'coat' and shoes would be considered with a serious frown - and a curse or two - upon presentation at any Orphanage, seriously.

Mtcheeew... let me just stop here jare. I and my friends laughed them to scorn before finally leaving the hall. Funny set of daft people.

That process of getting marketers for gnld is completely unethical. In Aba or Warri, people's t.fare may be refunded by force o. Its not funny.

Hi,

I am a Poet, and a Writer - both in English Language (blog/web content, or other content) and in Computer Language (Python programming language).

I can write any algorithm on python for any interested client. I have written a CGPA calculator, a calculator for a series of calculations used in Fishing - a specialized sector in oil servicing business, and I am currently working on a calculator for calculations based on a different oil servicing specialization (I am not at liberty to go in detail).

Even if you don't see or cant see the mathematical relationship but need to be able to predict a future occurrence accurately, or be aware of the rate, change per time, etc, on the subject of your interest, I shall carry out the research, connect the dots and write the algorithm for you (I am all for process optimization - I studied Chemical Engineering cool).

I also write articles (for blogs or websites on a wide range of content including product reviews, or for personal or academic purpose), poetry on any topic, E-books, and carry out research.
