Business To BusinessInvest In The Publishing Of A Book A Hungry Market And High ROI. by TheCode(op):
Hello,

Compliments of the season. I hope you are enjoying your holidays.

I am going to be succinct with this. I have a great idea about a book, an educational book. It has a proven target market, and I have confirmed the market again by carrying out a survey.

I have amassed all the materials/resources needed to produce this book, but I am short on finance. I need a partner who would help fund the book production. All you have to do is invest.

If you are interested, willing and ready, please contact me with @gmail.com

Cheers.

Have ya fill of ranting, bro. Won't go down that lane with u.
Sorry, but COOLCATS told you the simple truth. If it was shell decision test, it would be a no-brainer to classify that your comment as "counterproductive" at best, because instead of sounding like an advice, it now sounds like a thinly veiled mockery from an arrogant person.

I am not casting aspersions on your person, just telling you how your comment came across.

In as much as i admire your kindness to share helpful information, I hope u are aware that there may be shell HR staff viewing this thread. I personally know a few nairalanders who got int shell HR last yr that I am sure would be reading this posts. U might even get PM's and whatsapp messages from them to get this "special information". If that happens this strategy might become counter productive to as many as try it. Pls i am also a shell hopeful and would not like anything that would affect this process.

From his "crazy idea", people can build their own "crazy idea". That is what is called being creative. Everyone must not follow his idea 'verbatim'. So do not worry about a replication or duplication of his idea affecting the process. The intelligent ones would know how to use the info to their advantage and make it work even if a hypothetical Shell HR has, under the guise of seeking to be a step ahead too, gotten TheCode. The hypothetical, spy HR will even be impressed with the ingenuity of some people here on how they repackaged dammyspencer's info.

Dammyspencer, abeg carry go for those wey ask for your help.

Exactly. As if we can't handle a little heat. Unless the objective is to make the thread go cold, admin should pls allow the thread flow. Should we commence a #BringBackOurPosts campaign? The posts to be deleted should be posts reported to the admin, not any post the admin doesn't like. This is our thread, not the admin's.

Foreign AffairsThe Imposition Of PTDF On Nigerian Youths by TheCode(op):
Greetings great, enlightened people of this great nation. I
am here because I believe this platform can help the
youths of this country correct one of the many injustices
we have been forced to labour under.

As you all may know, the government usually invites
eligible candidates all over the federation to apply for
PTDF scholarship for postgraduate studies.

The full meaning of this PTDF is Petroleum Technology Development Fund. This name implies that a fund has been set aside in trust to grant scholarship to eligible graduates
who wish to pursue a graduate degree in any petroleum-
related course. To ensure this, PTDF lists eligible
postgraduate courses that a candidate must choose from
to be eligible for the scholarship. But that is not the
problem.

The problem is that we are required to pay N1000 for a
scratch-card in order to access the application portal.
Why? Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of youths
apply for this scholarship every year. When multiplied by
1000, the amount runs into hundreds of millions or billions.
Yet only a limited number of people are sponsored at the
end. So Nigerian youths are actually contributing for their
scholarship.

So, what happens to the set aside fund?? is PTDF now a
business outfit?? Are they now a profit-oriented venture??
Are Nigerian youths now required to sponsor their training
by themselves under the guise of a PTDF sponsorship??
These are questions staring us in the face.

We believe so much in president Buhari's government and
leadership and we demand that this exploitation of the
Nigerian Youth by unscrupulous individuals be addressed
immediately. There is absolutely no need for us to apply
for a scholarship in our fatherland, organised by our own
country, with money! We need our able president to take a
swift action concerning this.

I challenge all true patriots of this great nation to take this
up. Let us forward this concern to competent channels
that have the platform to make our voices heard. We
refuse to endure injustice in silence. Bit by bit, with God
on our side, we shall aid this present administration to
eradicate the insanities that have taken roots within our
system.

Thank you.

Hi everyone
Didn't know there was a section like this on Nairaland..am so happy to have found this thread
The thing is I am still a student .....from the department of history/international studies
When I 1st gained my admission I was discouraged by senior students...cos they were always saying the course isn't easy and there has been no 1st class in the department and all that
so I kinda relented and felt that's there was nothing I could do about the whole thing.....
Buh after my 1st year I discovered that my gp was way too low......tho I blame myself for that
What I want to know is that am I still redemmablehuh Cos am really confused
I need your advices on what to and what not to do
Guidelines on the kind of company I should keep cos am in my 2nd year now
I still believe I can graduate with something good
Thanks in anticipation
Cc xfire
My dear, a high cgpa is ultra important these days. The job market suffereth violence. I will advice you to calculate well: if you can still graduate with at least a 2.1, then continue and give it your best shot.

However, if from your calculations it seems unrealistic, then register for jamb again while still there, write the aptitude test into same school and same dept or a different school/dept (choice is urs) and switch. Give yourself a fresh start and work harder and you shall be glad you did.

I am aware that this is an unconventional advice and does not usually enjoy a warm reception. But I am convinced it is the wisest course of action if you realise that the most you can graduate with due to a bad start from bad orientation or whatever is a 2.2 and you are just in your second year.

Do not look at the extra one year - some spend extra two years or more trying to tidy up their degree and yet leave with a 2.2 or 3rd class.

The job market suffereth violence... to take it by force calls for 'violent' self-analysis, 'violent' situation-appraisals, 'hardcore' reality evaluations and 'violent' decisions...
CareerRe: Please I Need Advice On What To Do With My Life by TheCode(m): 11:44pm On Sep 15, 2015
tensazangetsu:
Am an 18 year old student pursuing a bsc program in marine engineering in ghana. My plan when I came here was to make a first class. I was in unilag for a year doing mechanical engineering before coming here. I knew I had the ability to do so. I aced my WASSCE, aced my JAMB and gained admission into unilag but when I came here I don't know what happened. I do everything am meant to do I study hard I attend lectures I do assignments but nothing works. Am not in any relationship don't plan to get into any as I don't wanna get married but everything isn't going well. I saw my last semester results and I had a semester gpa of 2.09 on 4.0 bringing my cgpa to a 2.5 on 4.0. I felt like dying I tried committing suicide by overdosing myself on sleeping tablets but still woke up in the hospital 5 days later. I tried selling my soul to the devil. I tried everything and nothing is working. I checked my chances to make an upper and it means I have to get a 3.5 gpa in every subsequent semester and as a realist that is very impossible right now with the way things are. I intend to hold on and get a 2 2 then go back to secondary school again for 3 years then retake WASSCE and put in for mass comm. This time I wanna follow my passion and don't really care about what happens. I just need advice from people on whether am making the right decisions or not.
I identify with your pains young man. You may feel your life is going south but I tell you, there are people that theirs is literally a freak show. However it's your decision to rise or stay down - you have the capacity for both.

Deciding to stay alive and pursue your passion is you rising. If you can, quit now and start on the path to another WASSCE and eventually to your desired course. Your doing what you are passionate about would bring you happiness - something you are in dire need of, judging by your post. There is no need to keep paying school fees for something you have lost all interest in, are not doing well in, and will probably never use.

Stop worrying about your physique and concentrate on making something of yourself. Determine to prove to yourself that you can be successful. Osita Iheme and Chinedu I., are you shorter than them? Are you poorer than Iheanacho (the Nigerian footballer) or Olamide was? Are you uglier than Iheanacho? Once you are successful, that your physique and looks would acquire 'style'. You may also check out MI, who they used to call 'short black boy'.

Lastly, but most important, you need Jesus. Are you a Christian? selling your soul to the devil will only make you more miserable, both now and forever. Jesus is the only source of joy and if you put your faith in Him, you shall never be put to shame. I encourage you to embrace life and come to Jehovah though His son Jesus, and you shall have life more abundantly. There is no neutral side to this: if you are not for God, you are directly or indirectly for the devil.

The spiritual controls the physical and you need to be connected, and stay connected, to the right source. It doesn't matter whatever you feel you have done or how big your sins are. You shall be made whole if only you open your heart and accept Jesus Christ.

Peace.

The above rating is subjective.
The rating was based on job description and opportunities. They all pay very well. Just that some of them have limited slots. E.g, it'd be hard (not impossible) to have a production engr flex to Reservoir engr. But it's easier to have a Res Engr flex to a Production/Flow Engr put 2gether.
Thanks a lot bro. I get.

Hello house, please I need your wisdom on a choice of MSc to go for considering the latest trend in the industry and the need for 'in-demand' knowledge or skills. I am considering the following graduate programs:

Flow Assurance
Reservoir Engineering
Subsea Engineering
Offshore Engineering
Production Engineering

Could you please help me rank them bearing in mind importance/relevance, 'in-demand' and diversity of application.

The schools I am considering are University of Houston, Cranfield University, University of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon's University, IPS and OTI-UNIPORT. Most especially the foreign colleges.

Please I am respectfully directing this question to every experienced person here.
