Actually that is not true bro, stopover not longer than 24hrs and you don't intend to leave the airport into the country then you don't need transit visa neither do you need to contact the embassy
Justwise, shalom brother! Does this rule been applied by all the countries in the world? Residents of Canada who aren't Canadian citizens are required to hold a US transit visa when returning to Canada through the US even when when the stop over is less than 24 hours.

I intend going to Zanzibar on the 6th for Vacation, flying with Ethiopian Airline shows that we will have to fly through Ethiopia, does this mean I need a Ethiopian Transit Visa? Please advice
To be safe, I would advise you to contact the embassy of Ethiopia or the airline itself and explain your situation in full details. Sometimes, the law and regulation can be very complex and not always easy to interpret. One day I was travelling by road from Canada to the United States. At the US-Canada border, I came across a lady from the Bahamas who was detained momentarily as she was also trying to enter the US from Canada. The reason for the detention was that she didn't have a US visa. Normally, people from the Bahamas don't require a visa to enter the US.

The lady had left the Bahamas 2 weeks earlier to visit an american family in Pennsylvanian. At that time, she was let into the US without any issue given that the Bahamas is one of the countries that is exempt for US visa. The host family took the lady for a short visit to Canada. On their way back to the US, the lady and the host family were shocked to find out that the Bahamian lady needed a visa. It turned out that Bahamians didn't need a visa to enter the US only when they were travelling directly from the Bahamas. Given that she wasn't coming from the Bahamas, a visa was require for her to re-enter the US.

The laws are not always easy to interpret. That is why you never speak to a police officer without the presence of a lawyer. The same thing hold true for travelers, never travel without contacting the embassy of the country you are planning to visit or the country of transit for the most to date visa info.

In lists like these, the Nigerian army will come after 426 or there about.
I thought Nigeria has the strongest Army in Africa. Nigeria army is stronger than any army in the Caribbean. Therefore, I don't think Nigeria would rank 426. It would be within the top 40

interesting.. How did they get on the tarmac? what is NCAA doing about this? i dont wat to bring racism into this but if this where to happen to white people, those luggages would have been found since yesterday
Do you live in Nigeria?
Back in 2010, I went to South Africa for vacation.
When I returned to Canada, KLM lost my luggage. I had never recovered even a penny from them to this day.
I have also number of colleagues who had been through the same ordeal.
To me, it makes nonsense when some people are bringing race into this thread given that luggage lost or delay can happen anywhere in the world.
By the way, do you know if they were any white passenger in the Turkish flight outlined in this thread?
If they were also white passengers in the flights who haven't received their luggage then your assumption of racism won't hold water.

its like you have been infested with the syndrome...Excuse me, what do you mean by lawlessness and indiscipline? What if there is a person who is on drugs and kept them in his luggage for use on arriving his destination. What do you think would have happened to such person by now....Please lets be reasonable when we have sensitive and serious national issue like this...Remember, it can be you or any of your relation next time. So, collective condemnation of the airline action is what we should all do.
Who in his right mind would put in his luggage important drugs for use on arriving at destination wink
Most travelers would keep important drugs in the carry-on bags just in case the luggage get lost.

It depends the state. We have sanctuary states such as California, new mexico, Washington state, utar, colorado and I can go on and on that issues drivers license to illegal immigrants. These states has there priorities differently. They are more concern on insurance or making their roads safe for motorists than any other thing.

Immigration is a federal rule but sometimes state sets rules they feel that works for them

Good Luck
His post wasn't about giving drivers license to illegal immigrants.
Yes, I agree with the fact that some states give driver license to illegals immigrants.
However, what I don't agree with in his post is the fact that that he indicates the police doing nothing when catching someone driving without a license. There is no city in the United States where the police won't summon someone driving without a license.
In some states driving without a license will lead to an arrest.
And when under arrest, the immigration status will come into play.

Adding to that, he was referring to Mexicans as if there were only illegals immigrants from Mexico who were receiving preference in the US.

This post is only for the UK I presume. Come to America and see as dem dey give all these illegal mexican rights like say dem be citizen. Most states are beginning to issue Mexicans drivers licenses. Banks even issue them accounts to save. Their kids go to school sef. Most of them that don't even have drivers licenses have been driving for years and police do nothing even when they're pulled over. I'll say 80% of them who commit a little crime and go to jail come out and continue to live here. Only those with serious criminal case end up deported. They live like they're legal. The only thing is once they step foot outside the country they can't come back in. So they can only talk to their family in mexico on phone but NEVER get to see them. America has too many problems to take care of than illegals.
This post is misleading. Illegal Mexicans in the US aren't treated any better than the illegals immigrants from other countries. Adding to that, the police would never turn a blind eye to someone driving without a driver license in the US, be it a US citizen or illegal immigrant.
Illegal immigration in the US isn't just a Mexican issue.

F) if you cant survive/hustle in Nigeria, what makes you think you could in Europe? havent you heard that Syrian refugees are everywhere and that now finding a job is thrice as difficult?! without a valid visa, even slavery in Nigeria is better than what you may have to do to survive in Europe. DONT GO!!!!
Com'on MRBrwonJ, I strongly disagree with that one.
Je ne suis pas d'accord avec le point F. Sinon, pour les autres arguments que t'as souligné, je te donne raison.

its a visit visa not a tourist visa.. and fee shown at the website. ia that the final money i will pay for the visa or will i have to pay another money as the main visa fee..
Visit visa and tourist visa are the same given that you can visit as a tourist.
There is no additional fee to the one indicated on the website.
You will pay this money when submitting your visa application and that will be final.

There is no script as important as u may think, and I have been elaborate enough in answering that question. If you follow the transport company I made mention of earlier u won't be stressed at the boarders. All you need to do is obey any instruction you are given. The only way you can land yourself in trouble is when you refuse to follow instruction or you carry a contraband goods.
You are the best

I don't know the relevant of script here, and there is no difficult question. Off course if it's your first time they will ask you what are u going to do in Ghana, then u will tell them the purpose of you visiting Ghana. Except u have a shady business you are into. So just get your ticket and embark on your journey.
I just love to read stories like the one you have posted on the thread. Thanks for posting your story. I wish your narration was a bit longer and that is why I asked you for the script at the checkpoints. I am not into any shady business and I don't even live in Nigeria.

There are various immigration check point on the way. But the only place you come down is at Aflao boarder, that is the last boarder to enter Ghana and u bring down your luggage for inspection before proceeding on your journey to Accra. As u can see in the pics below
Thanks Otunba4eva, can you post the script at the checkpoint. What are the questions asked?

You said a friend is to sponsor you, I guess on tourist visa category. My question to you is that you have read a lot of thread on visa application, is the process your friend is taking, the process you ' ve read so far?. You, youself is not convinced of the process, why opening up this thread?

There are standards well set and threads opened for people to read and follow. Follow those threads please. A lot you wrote shows you done follow threads.

1. How can you be a citizen because you married an American?

2. How can your friends wife need a third party on an invitation letter?

3. How can you get an american visa without appearance?

I will rest on this three because I do not want to write long and wast this thread. Please follow threads

Good Luck
Question 1.
He didn't even indicate that his friend is married to an American.
He wrote "he’s married to a white woman, so he’s automatically a citizen…"
How pathetic for OP to come to such conclusion!

The international US-CANADA border line inside the Haskell Free Library in Quebec (Canada)/Vermont(USA)
And though there are no restrictions on movement within the library, one does not need to report if they cross the inside border line inside the building. They only need to report if they leave out the side of the building that opens on to a different country than the one they entered the building from. The building’s interior ends up being an international space, a bubble in the otherwise nearly infinitely thin international line.

The line painted on the floor inside the library is more than just a novelty. Apparently it was required in order to show which portions of the structure and furnishings would be covered by the separate Canadian and American insurance policies.

The international US-Canada border runs up the middle of Canusa Street (Quebec Route 247). Local legend claims that a group of rather drunken surveyors, when given the task of determining the United States-Canada border line in the region (nominally at 45.00°N), decided to place the border right through the center of the village along what is now Canusa Street.
