Nigerians have a way of harassing other people's intellect. This is Nigeria thread and no Kongo.
I am well aware that this is a Nigerian thread. I have been a member of Nairaland since 2010. By the way, the country is Congo and not Kongo.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Seems like the instructions are different from one country to another. After checking the link you provided, I realize applicants in Nigeria have different set of of instructions from applicants in the Congo.

No one forced those players to represent France or to immigrate to France. They are doing it on their free will. They have the option to play for the Congo, Guinea, Angola ... but they choose France. Nevertheless, they are Africans.

Isn't English the Official language of Nigeria?
Isn't teaching done in English in Nigeria?

Did you just ask that??, every black man irrespective of the continent or country you find them today all came from the Black continent, most has completely lost their root

Portugal's greatest player ever before Ronaldo, can't remember his name right now was from Mozambique or so,

Or would you say cos Alaba plays for Austria doesn't change the fact his skin color is from Africa, the whites and developed countries gained more from Slave trade.

My opinion, if you have better explanation/s please school me
Africa is a cradle of mankind. All human on the planet can trace their root to Africa.
However, here OP is talking about supporting the Africans in this Euro Cup and not supporting mankind.

Anyway, support who you want to support. As for me, I am proud to see a European team plenty of African names.
There is no debat over that.

Cos I still don't understand you op

Ronaldo is black, the colour skin of his son sheds more light on that, Pepe, Nani, Sanchez, Bruno Alves, William, Danilo, Mario Gomez are all blacks

That's like 9 players of the starting 11 are blacks, of which I am sure they still have more blacks on the bench , so if being black is your reason for supporting France then it holds no water.

They have been my team from the very beginning of the tournament, so I see no reason why I should support France cos you said so

Portugal and Ronaldo all the way for the Trophy
And which country in Africa Ronaldo's parents come from?

bro, I'm not living in denial. Where I live I'm not discriminated upon. I'm very much happy with my life here. The stories I hear about the west (and the east, as in this case) with regards discriminations is just too scary.
I'm very much OK here
Thank you.
Same here, I have been living in the West for more than 25 years. And where I am living, I am not discriminated upon. So, it surprise when I read comments for people like you, who think that life in the West is all about discrimination. There are legislations in the West to fight discrimination. And anyone who feels discriminated can use those channels. I don't think there is such legislation in Africa against tribalism. So, if you haven't experiment tribalism in Africa, it means either you are just a lucky one.

This is why I've never fancied staying abroad. I have so much pride I can't just stand the discriminations. No matter how bad naija is I rather stay here. Yes, I'm that prideful.
My friend, are you living in denial? Do you mean there is no discrimination in Africa? I find tribalism in Africa to be far worst than racism in the West. Nowadays, most of the racism in the West are subtle whereas tribalism in Africa is still very blatant. There are laws against discrimination in the West.

@omega25red Am talking from experience. In 2013, i meant a nairaland in North Cyprus who needed an assistance of 100Turkish Lira and he went into tin air. In 2014 i saw a young Nigeria who had accommodation challenge & i decided to assist. Guess What? He end up stealing my 3000euro & disappear till today
I bet this is an isolate incident given that most people would be grateful to their helper.
There will always be someone who will abuse the hospitality received. But, we should never stop helping one another.
The day we will stop helping one another is the day the human race will perish.

I am not an invalid and I've transverse that airport many times both with and without kid and it did not take me 40 minutes.

But, I do realize that some folks can't chew gum and walk at the same time.
Lol ... can't stop laughing.
I truly don't see how it can take 40 minutes to go from one gate to another within the same terminal.
Modern airports have walking conveyor belt for long distance walk.
The most it may take to go from one gate to another is 10 to 15 minutes. But, 40 minutes is way too much. Someone can miss a connecting flight.

Errbody is talking about adjusting the B1/B2 visa to Green Card thru Marriage (Legal and not Sham)..... How about when a lady gives birth, can the child aid her getting a green card as well, i.e planning to raise the child in America. Experts should share their opinions. We disagree to agree!!! Learning one or two things here already.

It shouldn't be one way!
Yes, but the child should be 18 to sponsor a parent for Green Card

It covers a 53sq mile area! My local airport doesn't compare to it all.

DFW (Dallas-Fortworth) airport is another huge airport. I've read stories of people that had to walk close to 40 minutes just to get from one gate to another, within the same terminal.
40 minutes to get from one gate to another within the same terminalhuh Com'on ... I don't buy this. Is the person cripple? I have been to some of the biggest airport in the world, and I truly don't see how a person can take that long to travel within one terminal.

How can a Nigerian thrive there without learning French?
Com'on .... you have Nigerian in France, Italy, Russia, Japan ...all those places where English isn't spoken. So why not Quebec?
Anyway, Canada is bilingual for the most part and all across Canada you will get government service in English and French.
You have part of Quebec where English is spoken.
I have come across some people who live in Quebec without knowing French.

Another thing, you come to Nairaland expecting to learn more of Nigerian local teams such as Enyimba, heartland ... but all you see is people patrionizing more the English league. Nairalanders are more tuned into Chelsea's games.

This shows how much the Nigerian public doesn't give credit to their local league

TP Mazembe on parade...
Foreign players are the are the backbone of the DR Congo soccer league. We have players from Ghana, Cameroun, Ivory Coast, Mali, Zambia and to my surprise we don't have many players from Nigeria.

When TP Mazembe won this year African trophy, there was only 2 Congolese players in its line-up. The players were from Ghana, Zambia and Mali.
