Lol. I know it sounds strange to use the word merit In Nigeria. I’m not saying connection was not involved in this process. If not how could our CVS get to the organization to begin with. What I’m saying is that connection is stronger only if you passed the exam. That is what I mean by merit. Not only those who did exceptionally well but those who were able to reach the cut off mark. I met someone on the day of exam that told me that if it wasn’t compulsory to write the exam he wouldn’t have been there. His dad is a senator. He is very well connected. He got the message yesterday. If you like argue with me from morning till night. sha I got all this info from the person that compiled the list directly from efcc. Biokana: |
Thank you. Information reaching me is that if you were not sent a text yesterday, that means you did not pass the exam and you will not receive a text from them. Efcc exam this year was Purely based on merit. Doesn’t matter if you have connection. If you don’t pass, your connection cannot do anything about it. Also, after screening and medicals, if you don’t have what they require, you will be sent home even with your connection. I know of someone that his uncle works directly under Bawa and he didn’t get any text. That’s how I know this info is very true. I pray those of us that got will reach the finish line. Gabicon20: |
I don’t know if you should doubt your connect or not. He might be telling you the truth. But I received my text this night. I was told more will receive their text by tomorrow. In the text you will be tld to come by 7:30 am on Monday for physical screening/ interview and medicals. And also to bring your original documents and two photo copies. You are to also come dressed in white t shirt, white shorts and sneakers. Zikiblazer: |
Efcc interview is on Monday. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted tomorrow |
Thank you panjandrum001: |
I don’t know some of these places I’m about to mention but these following organizations have gotten waiver from federal character. If you know anyone there press your button. 1. Nigerian ports authority 2. Federal fire service 3. National youth service corps 4. Federal medical centre Nguru 5. Federal competition and consumer protection commission 6. Environmental Health officers registration council of Nigeria Please from number 2-6. If anyone is to choose, which would be the better option? |

I believe everyone would have to travel for the exam. My connect told me to say Abuja as my state of origin because I live in Abuja and he didn’t want me to travel because of the insecurity and when they called I told them exactly that. He said it wouldn’t be a problem during screening. I was told the training will last from 9 months up to a year. But since it’s the new training camp they are using, it won’t be as rigorous as the training in NDA and it won’t also be enjoyable at the same time. So be prepared. shagari011: |
I would strongly advise you to prepare for exams. The aim of asking you for your state of origin is to know which centre to post you to for the exam. Bawa is different from Magu. Bawa’s style of leadership requires everyone to train at their new camp in karu and also pass through the exam and interview process. Ofcourse slots have been shared already but doesn’t mean those processes will be overlooked. delaventures: |
I was told by my connect on Thursday last week that I would be contacted by efcc on Friday which was the next day. And on Friday I was called to verify my state of origin because I didn’t put it on my Cv. So all I can tell you is that the list is being complied and very soon maybe in less that 2 weeks everyone will be contacted and exam venue will be known. Most people are writing their exams where their state of origin is. And if there is no centre there, you have to travel to the closest state to do that. And also I don’t know if that exam written by drivers as stated on this forum is true because as I’m talking to you, three people I know have submitted their Cv to become drivers with efcc and they did that just yesterday. I don’t know how possible it is to collect Cv after exams have been concluded. Sha I don’t think even drivers have written any exams. I’m not here to argue but to state what I know. nisboss: |
A top official in NCC is claiming that the list is ready and all that is left is for people to be called. But they are just waiting for approval from FCC in order to do that. I don’t know how true it is but that’s what I got from him. [ quote author=HonFola post=112846729] Anything happening in NCC pls?[/quote] |
I don’t think so. Training is for those under 28 years. And only if you are in operations. Admin staff don’t go for training. And I was told salary is not the same. Like those in operations earn more than the admin staff. newnig: |
Guy, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. My connect is from head of service and the slots given to them from efcc was about two month ago. He just told me that they are about to collect the cvs from them. Efcc will recruit soon. Look for another connect or tell this one to put more pressure. Moha7: |
I was told there would be an interview. pls do you know if this is true or not? Or it’s just direct employment. I don’t know if I’m ready for any interview Abeg . Amajee: |
This is very true. An advise to those that want to take their Cv there. Just make sure you have a connect. I know what God cannot do does not exist but you have to be real and practical when it comes to securing a job in Nigeria. Good luck to us waiting. Hussen24: |
My connect is not for NPA. It’s for somewhere else. We were having a discussion about the places that the head of service have sent names to, he mentioned NPA that they are yet to send the list because the organization has not asked for it yet. Well time will tell. Hopefully you get called soon. dojnr4real: |
I’m not disputing anybody on this forum and neither am I going to debate on this. But for those waiting for NPA, I just came back from the office of head of service where the man helping me out mentioned that the names for NPA have still not been sent and that they are still waiting for the go ahead from the organization. I just thought to mention this for those still waiting. |
Then efcc should be one of the best places to work in Nigeria. But when good places are mentioned, I hardly hear the place being mentioned. Maybe their allowances are not that good. But the salary is good. Astertes: |
Nice input. aligs: |
Not yet. But I’m guessing something will happen by the middle of the year. the list I’m about to make has not even been sent. I was told before the week runs out. Ibrahim94: |
Pls pls pls I need an input on this. I have read several threads where people claim that efcc salary is up to 400k and that their salary have been reviewed. Some claim that it depends on the department and that their salary is not the same. Like if you are in operations, that’s where you earn up to that amount. I want to know if this is really true. Is the salary up to 400k or does it depend on the department. |
