Is His daily expenditure only about feeding? How about fueling Him and Madams cars? How about fueling generators for light? What about Electricity and other Utility Bills, ? What about domestic and other support staff, like driver.
For someone of His level , 100k per day is very reasonable when you average the monthly costs.
Postpone FEC meeting where you should be discussing practical solutions to addressing the demands of protesters to have Service Chiefs meeting, where you can strategize on how to silence protesters.
nairalanda1: In other words, they want Putin to remove tinubu from power, and replace it with a russian aligned government
To be honest, it would be good to get rid of this current government, but it won't get rid of our debt, our resource dependent economy, corruption, strife, and crisis. Nothing would change.
Nigeria is in trobule because at independence, the economic model we chose was sell raw materials to everyone, and share the revenue equitably. Well, since the 1970's, the population growth has outstripped the ability of the revenue to cover for it. We saw the first signs in 1976 when the government could not sustain free primary education for everyone despite having oil money income in record amounts. And there have been other signs too.
We need a government, and I don't care if it is backed by Russia, IRAN, china, USA, or whoever...that would take us from a resource dependent state to a nation that has a wide tax base and uses its resources to make products for the world market. That is how countries like China, and Japan and so on are able to stand on their two feet.
But we won't do it. We lurch from one bad government to the other, a governments of stomach infrastructure. GEJ supporters boast about Sure P, Buhari and tinubu supporters boast about their own Trader Moni projects and student loans. We boast about how army built a lot of infrastructure, forgetting that those infrastructure have deteriorated because there is not enough money to repair them..because not enough tax. We pretend we are rich, and use loans to cover up our asses. We are running a government that wants to share money, that wants to maintain wasteful subsides, and we have an oppositon that is the same.
And we keep on getting poor. IN 1965, Nigerians were suffering. TOday we are suffering. Yet we do not want to face the root of our suffering...which is our collective failure to develop an industrial socieity that exports. We want cheap money and subsidiszed fuel ona financial base that has been shaky since the 1970's...we used oil to hide the cracks.
Maybe we should just continue...or maybe, our government should stop sharing money, fight corruption, and wake up to its responsibilites, and people should stop wishing for Easy street. There is no free pot of gold anywhere. No free money, and subsidy is not sustainable anymore. Not on a budget of 30 trillion...which is the money needed in one year to make progress in fixing NIgeria's power sector to a point where it can power every house and factory in the country.
Nation building is not easy.
But all we do here is shout agbado and obidient, abuse each other';s tribe., call Igbos evil, call Yorubas evil, call Hausa Aboki, and fulanis murderers. We don't want to solve the problems we have together. We just want to get our side into power so that we can chop money
And if you propose any sane economic thing...either you are obuidiot or agbado.
Anyway, make we dey continue. When we are ready to be serious, call me.
Last post.!
Please keep posting ooo. We have very few voices of reason left. Everyone is only thinking based on right or left. No.more objective reasoning .
descartes400: Government empowering a billionaire elite in my books means collaborating in business engagements in other to create employment opportunities for the masses. If the government does not empowered him with providing him with such business license and maybe some other incentives, will the cement production plant come into fruition? Wouldn't this help diversify dangote's strong hold in the cement business?
If we have 30 billionaires with 30 cement production plants within the nation, imagine what that will do to the price of cement and block?
Abi na masses dey build $1.5billion cement production plant?
Its ok. Since you want to work with your own definition of "empowerment" .

Nonexisting1: If a country is dumb enough to undervalue its citizens, another country will usurp their citizenry. China once had one child policy so men with erect dicks and women with sugar coated pussies japa to America to have the number of children they wanted. Who lost? China. With the recent wave of japa, UK team will soon be full of c0neheads and Canadian team will be full of f1atheads.
Either way China wins. Infiltrating US and other nations is part of their colonization strategy.
I was on an air peace flight recently and the main air hostesses were Chinese. In the Estate where , duplexes are being pulled down to erect blocks of flats, that are mostly taken over by the Chinese.
P.S. the one child policy was good for China at the time, otherwise they would have been over 3 billion people by now.
Did anyone ask Him if he was interested in Regime change ? (MIGHT this be the words of a guilty mind? NOTE: the Senate president can sit in the event of the Pres and VP not being available.
And even if He is not interested in Regime change, He should be interested, if the people are interested.

Good for you . May the Lord continue to help you/us break negative and unproductive habits.
I remember that, while the EndSARS 2020 protest was being planned, the Northern Elders held a meeting and agreed on one common ground- 'the President is our son, we will not go against him or allow anyone to protest against him in the North'.
And so, it was like a joke, but no protest was allowed.
Check the record and prove me wrong?
Those who sponsored billboards and adverts in Abuja and the North, lost their funds.
A particular popular Musician who sponsored billboards in Lagos, Abuja and PH, lost everything he sponsored in Abuja. In fact, the owners of the billboards were sanctioned in Abuja.
The President was their son and they wouldn't allow any protests against him. Carry your protest to your side if you so wish.
It is 2024, and here we go again. We are asking the siting President to give us a report of 60 years' rot in 1 year.
And, the South, especially the South West where the President is from, must prove a point now.
Would you stand for your son or stand against him? I think that, we would stand with our son too!
I think that the whole South should stand for their son also.
Has any President done better than him in 1 year of office, in the last forever?
Isn't the Nation too tender for any protests right now?
Has any protests ended well in the last... forever?
Have we had gains or losses from protests?
Isn't there a consistent record of hijacks of protests, from forever?
Would you invest in a Nation that is prone to protests that leads to anarchy and destruction of the land?
Who has accounted for the losses from the EndSARS?
I think that we have had a very sensitive economy in recent years.
We rolled from costly Boko Haram insurgency to global recession to National recession to COVID and to the effects of wars around the world.
This is the reason there is inflation all around the world. Yes, including the Countries you wanna japa to, init?
Have you noticed the number of Countries who have had the same economic effects?
In fact, for the kind of government in the UK, you must have noticed the number of Prime Ministers who have been changed in the last 14 years. There has been 6 since 2010. A particular one spent only 1 month as PM. It was all because of the economy, not war or sickness or incompetence, but economy.
That same inflation is biting the Citizens so hard in all these Nations. UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Ghana, SA, Egypt.... everywhere.
Meanwhile, Nigeria is having her 3rd President since 2011, staying his first year in office.
I would have expected Nigerian Citizens to have a more critical look at the economy by history rather than sentiments.
I would have expected Nigerian Politicians to stand for the good of Nigeria rather than prove the points of hatred from an election loss.
Atiku supports the protest fr Dubai, so does Peter Obi from 'not Anambra'.
Which one of you actually won the election if it was not Tinubu? And, would any of these 2 men have done better, knowing that they both supported the removal of subsidy on oil as does the sitting President? Which is the reason why we are here now.
Things could have been done better sha. That, I agree! But it is still manageable.
When HAMAS faced Israel, the whole Nation, and especially the Politicians, stood as one, with their President. He wasn't their fan, but their Nation needed them more than they needed to prove a point.
Where are those who will stand for Nigeria?
This Protest is, for me, a stand against the welfare and existence of Nigeria.
When I looked at the demands of the proposed protest, I saw the request for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. How does this relate to Protest against Bad Governance? Am I missing something here?
Are we being introduced to the Sponsors of the protest?
How many Nigerians have visited the South East in recent times? I have!
Do we have our eyes opened? We should!
I still recall his voice from those voice notes on the instruction to burn Lagos during EndSARS Protest, and places were burnt as he instructed.
So, the validation of burning Lagos and Nigeria will end bad governance?
The jail breaks, the beheading of Police Officers, the burning of LAMATA Buses, the burning of Police Stations and countless more, will end bad governance?
This brings me to the issue of patriotism.
I think that some Nigerians are fond of hiding the good things of Nigeria and putting the bad foot forward. We spread our dirty linens on the world stage forgetting that all other Nations have dirts too!
There's nothing bad in Nigeria that is not in every single developed, developing or underdeveloped Nation.
The world scores Nigeria low or badly, because Nigerians tell the world that Nigeria should be so scored!
Do you know that there are Nations who refuse to give any information about themselves to the world for anyone to score their economy or people? It's like claiming the 5th amendment.
I wonder if a Nigerian expects to be seen differently from how they describe their own Country? (Keep reading these words until you've read it!)
We don't need any protests. We don't need to gamble with anarchy that usually starts with a 'peaceful protest'. I am aware of how tough things have been, but a further toughness will not make things easier.
I support dialogue. Some of us will not be going anywhere! So, please leave our bed place for us and we will keep working things out.
The grass is not greener anywhere else. If it is, go there!
I pleade with Nigerians not to use the sitting President as scapegoat for all the bad governments of the past.
There was Abacha, there was Babangida, there was Jonathan, there was Buhari, there was Obasanjo, there was AbdulSallam, they are all faulty in some.
Why would anyone want to distract or punish Tinubu?
May Nigeria succeed!!!!
Dr. Bode 'Gbore, wrote this from Abuja on July 26th, 2024 at 0630hours.
The problem with this unnecessarily long post is that it failed to do two things:
Acknowledge the role of Tinubu's suddenly implemented policy in throwing Nigeria into a needless crisis, from His very first day in office.
Tell us exactly which policy we should be patient with Tinubu about. (The hasty fuel subsidy removal that is still being paid through the back door? or the hasty floating of the naira in a country that has borrowed against its future oil reserves which is its main source of foreign exchange?
Which particular policy, exactly ? I am waiting
P.S. As you are pointing out countries that are doing badly, also point out countries with leaders that are not as incompetent and clueless as many of ours.
richeeyo: They are African Don't argue if you don't know Listern and learn
Which kind of African?
Why do you think the nomenclatures of North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, exist? North Africans are mostly Arabs and Sub-Saharan Africans are mostly Negroes.
jesusjnr2020: Madman Rejects Offering After Preach To Crowd, Says "Give It To The Poor"
It was astonishing to see a mad man preaching the true Gospel of Jesus that is lacking in most churches today, including giving alms to the poor and needy.
IbeOkehie: There's no way to prevent this EXCEPT the complete elimination of ALL subsidies and price regulations and also privatization of all government owned commercial enterprises.
I'll like anyone to give me an outline of how to reduce this kind of fraud or corruption.
Government University is subsidized so lecturers devise ways of charging extra, up to and including demanding for SEX as payment for admission.
Petrol is sold at government subsidized and regulated price and people buy and smuggle it to Benin Republic and Cameroon to resell at higher price.
Government ministries and corporations hire people and the bosses take cut of the employee salary and of course the employee hardly shows up for work. He'll there are THOUSANDS of government employees living abroad and still collecting salary!!!
And it's not just Nigeria, it's a world wide thing! The impact is so big in Nigeria because the populace has low productivity.
The populace has low productivity because government owns or controls ALL factors of production in Nigeria...and Venezuela and North Korea and Liberia and many other places. It's madness.
So someone tell us how this can be stopped.
Good Luck to Nigeria.
Please let me know when you find out how it can be stopped, because I am so confused by this country.
