Docuzor: Good morning.
So I had an earlier date for 1st Sept that's an assisted service which I already paid for.
So I came online and saw a free date for August 26th same assisted service, I clicked on it and was directed to a payment site.
Do I still need to pay again for this new date despite having paid for the 1st sept. If it directs you to a payment service then it seems you have to pay for it to secure it. |

asatin007: Hello house, I’m applying with my Dom dollar account. I don’t usually make deposits or withdrawals in this account but I’ve kept the required amount there for over 28 days. This means my statement is only likely to show just my opening and closing balances since no other transactions were done on it. Is this okay? Its OK - I did the same - converted money to sterling when the rates started going crazy and so my 28 days statement showed no transactions at all, just opening and closing balances. That's how I sent it in. It makes their job easier for them |

abisoyed: hello,
for those going to University of Hertfordhsire with more than 3 dependants, how did you sort accomodation? I have been at this for a whole month with nothing favorable? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thank you I booked a holiday flat as temporary accommodation and then indicated that this was temporary and permanent arrangements/commitments would be made after arrival. You could try involving your school's international students unit in your accommodation search if they offer such assistance. Searching for accommodation from outside the country requires a lot of care - there are sometimes scammers on the online sites. |

chiwelaw: Good morning Nairaland.
Please, Am having troubles uploading my documents. After attaching the documents, I log out the documents will be gone. Am not sure to go about this again. Please I urgently need your guidance. Thank you for your response I presume you are on the TLS website. After you attach each document, on the left hand side you will see a section for describing the type of document you have uploaded. Click on it and select the document type from the dropdown menu, and then click "Confirm". Do this for each document. When you have finished, on the left, just below the box, you will see "Done". Click on that button and it saves all the documents you have uploaded in that session. You can tell either close the window or click "Back to Applicant Portal" in the upper right side to navigate away. You can continue to upload documents up to the day of your appointment. When you have finished uploading ALL your documents, then you click "Submit". That is the final step, which cannot be undone, so you can't upload any other documents after clicking "Submit". |

PtBlank: The last part says all the pages must be stamped, did your bank do that for you? In my experience, the banks always insist on stamping the first and last pages. Will this be a problem if only the first and last pages are stamped? The excerpt referred to electronic statements. When you generate an electronic statement from the GTB internet banking platform it comes pre-stamped and signed. It says nothing about stamping of physical documents, so perhaps your bank's procedure will suffice. Or, ask them to stamp all pages for you since you want it for visa purposes. |

Because my uni rep said we can use it as long as it signed and stamped when generated. Gurus in the house, please help me out. Yes, you can, as duchess90 has confirmed. I did so with my GTBank statement. Here's the relevant extract from page 20 of the document at the link she cited: " If you wish to submit electronic bank statements from an online account, these must contain all of the details listed above. In addition, you will need to provide a supporting letter from your bank, on company headed paper, confirming the authenticity of the statements provided. Alternatively, an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement". |

I don't want to start amending and then lose the old date while not getting a better date and then end up getting a worse date than the first one. Nothing to worry about. When you click on "Amend" you will be taken to the booking calendar. It is only when you have selected an available date and completed the change process that your first booked date is released. If you dont see any date or abort the process, your originally booked date remains safe. |

mimilyrics: Yes. Irrespective of when your biometrics appointment is scheduled for, your statement must capture the 28-day period which must be before your application submission. You can print from the 5th of July since from July 6th to Aug 3rd is 28 days but to be on the safe side, I added an extra day. The Oanda rate for Aug 3rd was N510.179 to £1 so that's what will be used to convert your funds. Thank you. Means I have to reprint the statement sent in to get the CAS; will do that tomorrow. |

mimilyrics: The 28-day period is the period for which the money must be in your account before your application. Once you submit your application, just print the statement for the 28-day period and upload. Not being able to get an early biometrics appointment won't have a negative impact on your 28-day period statement. Sorry if I'm asking something that has already been thrashed out before - but I read the previous discussions on this topic earlier and remained unclear. My application date was August 3, i.e. the date when I paid IHS and visa fees. So my bank statement should cover the period 28 days prior to August 3 (i.e from July 6) irrespective of when I actually submit my biometrics? |

I sent someone to TLS Ikeja yesterday to make inquiries. To put the controversy about flexi appointments to rest:
Yes, you could do a walk in before your appointment date. It's still available, but they say they've fewer slots due to working fewer days so they've reduced the number of people who will be allowed, even with their 42k, unlike before.
You can turn up and try your luck, but get an appointment first. |

Sonarirok: I got Flexi (self service) for my son and I yesterday for the 3rd and 8th September. There’s one applicant left but there has been no available date since 10pm last night. Next Flexi looks like it will be on the 10th September because it’s shaded grey.
For other appointments time/dates keep coming up for August and early September at different intervals. You just have to keep checking. Right now, once you get an appointment for your husband for any date, ALL of you can come together on the 3 September flexi appointment. |

Sonarirok: Hello. Help!! Please for Flexi applications does the main applicant select Flexi too or has to pick a certain time for his application. It seems like the Flexi option is blocked out for my husband. Just shaded grey. I assumed it meant it will turn green soon but it’s been like this since yesterday.
He has the option of selecting other times other than Flexi and the cost is reflected in the basket. As you have already paid 42k for one flexi appointment, he should select any other time he can see, preferably a non-paid appointment, because once you have a flexi appointment all of you can walk in together, you will still pay the 42k. |

chiwelaw: Please @mimilyrics and those that have done this
At what point do we add dependents to the tier4 application. How do I go about it as I have already gotten to the payment page for the principal applicant.
Thank you I filled the forms on Monday and I found that you can't add dependants to the principal applicant's application form directly, instead you have to fill a separate form for each dependant and make payment for them separately. At the start of each dependant's application, you will be asked for the details of the principal applicant, including their name, passport number and GWF number (a code issued at the end of the principal applicant's process, after all fees have been paid) which will be used to link the applications of dependants to the principal applicant |

I want to change my career path and apply for a BSc in nursing. I already have a first degree in Education from Nigeria.
Are visas granted to people who make such career changes and go for 2nd undergraduate degrees?
Also, I want to go with my family. How many years proof of funds should I show for an undergraduate degree?
I'll appreciate your responses.
Thank you. Try the 2 year M.Sc Adult Nursing program; some universities take students without a previous science-related degree. It's a postgraduate program, so you can take your family along. |

Tohlah1: Please help out, for those that did interview recently. How much did U pay for your visa fee and IHS in naira? The fee is not denominated in naira; its denominated in dollars, and the conversion rate to naira depends on what naira-denominated bank card you use. On Monday I paid $603 for the IHS and $466 for the visa fee. It might have changed - the payment provider uses the US$ to GBP exchange rate to determine the fees and the US dollar has been dropping somewhat recently against the pound. |

Sonarirok: Hello,
I need help please. When the main applicant gets to the IHS link for payment it reads you have no dependents. Everything is in order. I don’t understand why the dependents and main applicants application is not linking up.
What do I do? Does the main applicant pay the ihs surcharge for everyone or it is paid on each individual application?
Also when I click the ihs link to make my own payment I get this error message.
Has anyone experienced this before? I got the same message that "you have no dependents" after filling the form too even after I had listed my children in the section "People you support financially". I checked again and got the same result. So I went ahead and paid the IHS separately on each application, as you have to fill a form for each dependant individually anyway. At the start of each dependant's form you will be asked for the name and GWF number of the main applicant to link the applications. Re the screenshot I didn't get that - all the applications I made went through without hitches thankfully, but if that's what it says, then that's most likely what it means, so try again. |

The dates available for booking on the TLS VI is September 8. I have been refreshing the page all day for an earlier date.
I don't know if I should pick that date or wait to see if any date will be available in August. I'm to resume at the University of Westminster by October 2nd. Pick that date, you can always rebook an earlier date if you see one. However, if its a paid slot, you will lose the money paid once you rebook. |
