I did have the same experience with the other poster - someone in the UK was seeing dates while I was not seeing any.
If its opening for people outside Nigeria, try using a VPN.
Get a trial package.

"The 28-day rule
Any money you use for maintenance (course fees and living costs) must be in your account or your parent(s)' account for a consecutive period of 28 days (finishing on the date of the closing balance).

During the 28-day period this money cannot drop below the required amount for even 1 day or you will not meet the Home Office requirements and your application will be refused.

Your bank statement must be no more than 31 days old on the date you submit your visa application, this is the date that you pay the online visa fee. For instance, if your bank statement is from 1 June to 29 June, you should apply between 30 June and 30 July and you must not make your application later than 30 July. "

I got info from an insider in UK, that student visa would be replaced with "student route" by October. This means requirements for visa application for student would be modified by October. Advice is that anyone planning to apply for visa should pay as soon as possible before the student route starts. Although the student route could still be favourably, but honestly I don't know

The so-called student route is new Points-Based system for student visas and is somewhat more favourable than the current one.
Longer application times (6 months as opposed to 3 months), no more evidence of funds needed in the event of future applications, etc.

There are no limits on domiciliary account debit cards, only on naira-denominated cards.

I didn't need to activate it, just use it to transact directly by inputting the card number where required. You'll get an SMS with an OTP.

Access Bank's limit is indeed $1k.
I've made transactions of about $750 this month alone, including the $603 IHS fee.

Their rate is always close to the black market rate; I was charged 527 naira per euro for a euro transaction yesterday.

Ewo, one week is a long time. Try changing browsers (I abandoned Chrome for Firefox) clearing your browser cache and cookies, etc.

You'll have to define "expensive" for you. Dangote, Bill Gates and Iya Sikuru in Ajegunle have different definitions of "expensive".

The truth usually does take away the need to lie.
The interviewers are usually able to spot the hesitations, eye shifts and other unconscious indications of people not telling the truth - advisable you tell the truth and stay with it.

And be careful of your "agent" - if they don't know the basic UKVI rules such as the one that the person above mentioned and are advising you to tell untruths, they are best avoided.

Do your own reading and research - the guidance is on the internet and is written in clear English and is easy to understand. Like many of us, I'm working from home, struggling with increasingly bored children and their noise and so forth while trying to get work done, but I still made out time to carefully read through the Tier 4 guidance in June/July to understand the rules and I'm sure all of us can do likewise.

I presume they already have appointments.
If, for instance, the children have appointments for tomorrow, 18 August, while the mother has an appointment for any other day, the mother can bring them to the centre and only she will pay 42k.

Conversely, if none of them have an appointment for tomorrow, 18 August, but all have appointments for other dates, they can still try to go to the visa centre tomorrow to see if they will be allowed to do a walk-in, but in this case, they will all pay 42k each.

There's no specific slot to be booked for a walk-in.
Just book any normal (self-service preferably) appointment slot you see for any date you can get. Then once you have an appointment, you can try the application centre to see if they can take you as a walk-in on any date you decide to try.

Each applicant pays 42k if they're going to the visa centre on a date different from their appointment date.

When you do a walk-in, you get interviewed the same day. At least that's what was done for us in Ikeja.

Not sure if this is quite correct. The rules may vary from TLS to TLS, but when we did a walk-in at TLS Ikeja with dependants on their date, we were asked to pay the 42k (which we had planned to pay anyway).
I'd advise you go prepared to pay if they ask you to, and while hoping that you won't.

Either Etiebet's place main car park (not always easy to get into) or the car park next to the building, which charges N500. Both are safe, at least in my experience. As is usual with visa application centres in Lagos, there are touts hanging around everywhere offering every possible service short of actually stamping a visa in your passport, and given the crowds, the way things are going they might soon start offering that too.

I was at TLS Ikeja on Tuesday for my appointment.
They were not accepting walk-ins at that time; they said any Tier 4 applicant who wanted to do a walk-in should return the next day (Wednesday) and I know someone who actually was able to do a walk-in on Wednesday.
I heard that going forward that would be the pattern, but I cannot vouch for that - let's see what happens this coming week.

The CAS is needed

I excerpted this from the visa information guide sent by the university to which we applied:

"
Q) Do I need to submit a visa letter or an original CAS document?

No, you do not need to submit the original CAS document with your visa application, you only need to provide the UKVI with the CAS number that we have issued for you. This will allow them to view the information we have recorded confirming we have accepted you onto your course. We will provide you with the details of what is on your CAS statement so that you know which documents you need to provide with your visa application, but this is only for your reference.

You do not need a visa letter, the CAS number system has replaced the old visa letters."

Of course, nothing at all prevents anyone from creating a pdf of their CAS letter and uploading it, according to this it would just be superfluous.

I had to book the new date afresh


If it's a glitch or a new method, I don't know. I'm just saying what happened to me.

So yeah, I lost my old date before I could book a new one.

Have you confirmed each document category by clicking on "Confirm" in the left-hand side dropdown menu?

If you've done that, then there must be a glitch somewhere, because that's supposed to upload the documents before you click "Done".
Keep trying, then at worst you take a screenshot and take your documents along to the centre tomorrow for assisted service and tell them you couldn't upload them yourself.

I don't think this is entirely true. It happened to me today. They remove the already secured date before I could even pay for the new one.

And yes, I had to pay again.

Saying this means that there is a way by which you can end up without a date if there is a gap between giving up the old while in the process of securing the new one. I dont think that's how the process operates.

Unless the recent glitch with the TLS site messed up the amendment process, I can state that as at when I booked appointments last week I changed dates about three times (twice for my children and once for myself) and each time the process of switching between dates worked seamlessly and I never ended up without an appointment.

Just go to your TLS account, click on "Amend" and follow the prompts.
Your previous date is only changed when you have actually booked a replacement date, and not before.
Any time you go to check for a date and you don't see any, just close the window or click on "Return to Applicant Portal" when you're done; your original date stays safe.

Not really necessary.
The UK visa form asks you for the CAS number and the Sponsor Licence number, which is all the information needed.
