I served in Akwa Ibom many years ago, i was appalled that while supervising a JSS2 exam, one girl actually bluntly and arrogantly begged me for the answers, and i was the invigilator. I asked my NYSC colleagues and they said its because she knows she is female and has "pussy" to offer me, and she did... always flirting and all, but guess what, i am adult and i educated her on the right values and how her "girlhood" is valuable and should not be a bargaining chip. That was a JSS2 student,maybe aged 14 or 15, those in SS3 will try to get to date you and sleep with you and all but I educated soo many of them, and did positive activities with them most got it others didn't, however i am not a part of the decay. That singular act alone made me stand out and i was completely and totally trusted and respected by parents, teachers, students and even fellow corpers. If everyone is drinking pure water or ragolis water and throwing the nylon or bottle on the streets, it doesn't mean you should also do it.

The Police Command in Lagos has confirmed that a 27-year-old man, Omotola Onayemi, also known as `Ola-brain’, on Monday, committed suicide over alleged frustration.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the incident happened in Epe Local Government area of Lagos state, at about 5:30am on Monday.

Sgt. Ademola Ogunjobi, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Epe Branch confirmed the incident in an interview with NAN.

According to him, the police have confirmed the incident of a young man that committed suicide by hanging in early hours of today.

“The corpse has been deposited in a mortuary at Epe General Hospital for further investigation,’’ the DPO said.

An eyewitness, Mr Tunde Badmus, told NAN, that the incident happened at Idi-Aba area of Epe.

He said that the young man committed suicide by hanging himself to death early hours of Monday.

According to Badmus, he alleged that the deceased was once a yahoo-yahoo boy before his mother stopped him from such attitude.

“The young man was found roaming around the streets and probably felt frustrated after leaving the yahoo-yahoo job and decided to hang himself.

“I was surprised seeing him dead by hanging early hour of today in the area,” he said.

He said that the corpse has been taking to mortuary for further investigation/claims.

NAN reports that the deceased mother, who is a widow declined comments as she was still in shock.

The respect for the frailty of both age and (supposedly) feminity - which Woman however has grossly misused in this generation - is that which has the English open doors and pull chairs out for women. The Police in Anambra state have warned parents to look out for seven signs which they described as tell-tale signs that their wards were getting involved in cultism.

Philippians 2:12 is one of the most highly misunderstood verses of the scripture. This wouldn’t have been so if we had never mastered the act of lifting scriptures out of context and making it say what it was never meant to.

In a bid to discredit and prove the Truth of eternal salvation wrong, most people have greatly misconstrued this beautiful verse of the scripture.

(Php 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

What was Paul the apostle trying to say here? What does this verse really mean?

First, unlike what is popularly believed out there, this verse isn’t asking you to work for your salvation. It said work it out.

I really need you to understand that to work out your Salvation is not the same as working for it. When people read this verse, they often make the mistake of thinking they are the same. They think the verse is asking you to do something (good things) in order to produce or receive your own salvation.

This is a very wrong notion because as important as our good works are, they count for nothing when it comes to being a criteria for salvation. They cannot merit or provide that wonderful experience for us. That is why Salvation is a gift.

(Eph 2: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

(Eph 2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

As a matter of fact when it comes to Salvation, our good works (self righteousness) are counted before God as used or dirty sanitary rag.

(Isa 64:6) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

It is that useless when used as a criteria for receiving Salvation. This is why Salvation is a complete gift of God’s grace received only by Faith. Not merits.

The statement “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” was an apostolic instruction Paul gave to the Philippian church, charging them to live uprightly as those who have received God’s salvation already within their spirits.

He wasn’t asking them to live uprightly in order to receive salvation. That is to work for it. He was asking them to live uprightly because they have been saved already. The next verse to that one throws more light, take a look at it.

(Php 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

(Php 2:13) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

God works within you so you let the world see it. Let what God has done within you reflect on the outside. In your words and conducts. Since you are saved, live like it.

The instruction is similar to what Jesus said to His disciples after calling them the Lights of the world.

(Mat 5:14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

(Mat 5:15) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

(Mat 5:16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

So as Christians, the whole of Philippians 2 encourages us to live the life of Christ on the earth. Not so as God would pat us on the back and offer us His salvation as a reward for our good living. It is simply because we have already received that Salvation as a gift, empowering us us to live righteously in this crooked world.

It is like the popular song, “Let the world see Jesus in your eyes….” How can they see Jesus in your eyes or life if you don’t already have Him living within you? How can you work out your salvation if you don’t already have that salvation given to you?

You have received the workings of God within you (Salvation) so you let it reflect in your lifestyle (work it out). That is what Philippians 2:12 is saying, not the other way round.

I have always maintained for years that GOD is no longer with Christianity. I didn't then think it in me to believe they therefore have no hope. But now I am beginning to realise - with all I continue to see of Christendom - that when that city supposed to be sought is come, all that is Christian will be of all men most miserable.

This is MCC by Ibok street. This drain is 1.2m deep by 0.8m wide. I don't and will not blame the government of the day totally for the volume of debris in the drains. I blame us. We have failed in playing our very little part.

1. Stop dumping refuse in drains.

2. Residents should move fallen tree branches and trees after cutting them to points storm water can't move them into drains. Especially if they don't have the resources to evacuate them.

The milk is spilt. What is the way forward? I have had to walk around these zone( Ikot Efa, Parliamentary, Ibok Street, Effioette, MCC, Ikot Uduak, Akai Efa) during heavy rain and my deduction is that the flooding on Parliamentary road spreading into Ibok Street and MCC are partly because of these blocked drains during heavy rains.

I plead with the government to look into this issue as this is a high brow area. The rainy season is gearing up. Let's safe face.

What gutters all over the walled will very definitely soon look like, as they continue to embrace the evil of Ikadan - be it literally, be it figuratively; be it as scribes, Levites, Judas Iscariot, or The Cane that indeed bears the sword.

Heaps of refuse have taken over major streets and markets, disrupting traffic and pedestrian walk in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

Our findings revealed that the refuse left uncleared for several weeks have overflown the dustbins placed in strategic places in the city.

The heaps of refuse have not only become an eyesore and health hazard, but also obstructed free flow of traffics leading to painful gridlocks and accident.

Places like Palm Street by Atakpa, Palm Street by Atu, Target by Harcourt Streets, Watt Market along Goldie, Watt Market along Nelson Mandela, Marian market have all been covered with heaps of refuse.

A resident of Palm Street, Malinda Edet, told our reporter that for some weeks, now the refuse had not been evacuated and this has made life miserable for her and her family.

“As you can see but for this pavement, the refuse would have entered my apartment. The stench alone is overpowering even as we keep doors shut”.

Mrs. Josephine Ekpam, another resident said she regularly falls sick owing to the flies and mosquitoes that live in the rubbish.

When the garbage was regularly evacuated during Senator Liyel Imoke’s time, she had no problem with the refuse bin being close to her apartment.

When We visited the Ministry of Environment, a director there Harold Ejim said, “The responsibility of evacuating rubbish has been taken from them and given to Waste Management Agency.”

At the Waste Management Agency, an official who craved anonymity said “There is a dearth of vehicles and funds for the agency to function effectively.

“Most of the vehicles here are owned by Frank Ayade, the younger brother to the governor and many are in bad state. Funds are normally channelled to him and what gets to us for diesel and vehicle repairs is hardly enough,” he lamented.

He said the agency is doing everything with the limited funds available “but if that is not enough, so be it,” he said.

Apart from causing delays and disappointment, it is a bondage chaired by a spirit. But with God all things are possible. It is a sin but sin has been dealt with by Jesus Christ and as a result of this it cannot have dominion over you. Masturbation is not like every other sin, it is a deceitful sin. It is a spirit that does not stay with you but comes and goes.

You don’t get delivered from it because it doesn’t stay, rather it comes and goes. So you might feel delivered today and then captured tomorrow by this same spirit.

But Christ is the head of all principalities and powers; you are just about to experience permanent freedom. How I wish you know what it is to live a sin-free life. You will never like to be yoked with it again. Christ has made us free more than 2000 years ago which means freedom from any form of sin is possible.

HOW THEN CAN YOU PERMANENTLY WALK OUT ON MASTURBATION?

The spirit of masturbation like I said before does not reside in an individual rather it comes and goes. So prayers and fasting will only make it stronger because you can fast for 7 days and break your fast with masturbation when it comes.
It is good to understand the two ways in which it comes so that you will avoid it totally.

It first of all comes through LUST, LUST, I MEAN PICTURES OF IMMORALITY, REAL OR IMAGINATION, FILM OR PHOTOGRAPHS, and WORDS OR MUSIC. And if thy laws are based on might, and not right - if all Life (including even that of Man) is no more than survival of the fittest - what difference then is there between thee and the animals thou claims thou art higher than?

If there ever has been a righteous God (as I become more and more certain each and every passing day that there is) He is powerful because He is right, and definitely not the other way round. For if He - yes, even He - decides to go wrong, and deny the Laws laid down by Him; Life will become in all its entirety survival of the fittest, and Time and Chance - which then will no longer be under Him - will happen even to Him.

It is only common sense, and the absence of it is that which has turned the Christianity of this damned and most accursed of all generations into The Clown. "Fear GOD, and keep His commandments" - but all you lean on is on the blood of a man that declared his generation guilty of all the righteous blood shed from the foundation of the world till then, because of his own blood that was shed then.

Fear GOD, and keep His commandments - and if His commandments include "To do justice and judgment is more acceptable than sacrifice," where then is the common sense that has thee believe the sacrifice of the blood shed of Jesus is all that is required for thy salvation, if not in The Imbecility of thy deluded Christianity? Fear GOD, and keep His commandments - and if His commandments include "I desire mercy, and not sacrifice," where then is the common sense that has thee think the blood of Jesus grants thee the right to any evil, however wicked; if not (I repeat) in The Imbecility of thy deluded Christianity?

I believe you have something between thy ears. Please try to use it. Would thy very own President (or thy Governor, or thy King) lay any law down that will eventually be to his own detriment - even in the imperfection of thy secular authorities - UNLESS, of course, he is mentally deranged enough to be suicidal? Why then do you want to have thy fools and thy imbeciles believe that a God that has had all prophets and righteous men sent by Him to thee ever since the beginning of the world will have them bring along with them any but Laws that can do Him (yes, even Him) no harm? And what have all those Laws ever had to do with having thee believe GOD is right only because He is powerful? What have all those Laws ever had to do with having thee believe He looked upon "everything He had made, and behold, it was very good" - AND made out of Laws based on wickedness and evil?

Nothing - except The Imbecility of The Folly that has me declare thy generation as not only most accursed, but also definitely damned.

If my Words cannot convince thee - if, despite all, thou believes GOD is right merely because He is powerful - then do leave all thy kings and thy rulers all across the world alone, to lay all the most brutally and devastatingly evil laws they would that they lay; all because GOD has placed them in positions of authority. Question them not, for they do have power; and - according to thee - it is their power only, and absolutely nothing else, that grants them positions of power.

It is most unfortunate for this generation. Because it obviously is because there are authorities high enough to have thee deluded into thinking a God that created based on Laws that brought forth good, can have anything to do with injustice; that I continue to cry out unto Him to take "His Place in the divine council." For such authorities are obviously not of men, and - even if not also of Satan and the Devil - will "die like men, and fall like any prince."
