This man's success at the convention seems to have turned you BMC , nairaland unit, into Wailers. Gradually the victory has already begone. We honourable Wailers trading position with former honourable hailers. While transiting take this along, you need the smoke zsamorano: Dear Atiku, you must be fair to all Nigerian voters. You cannot share $5,000 to PDP delegates for the Presidential ticket, then you tell the rest of us to join you to rescue Nigeria. For us to vote, you have to let the $5,000 go round each voter, else no vote. The arithmetic is very simple. It is $5,000 X 180 million Nigerians = how much? Chicken change for you Sir, just $900 billion. I know you are richer than Nigeria as a Nation. Since you have started with vote buying, pls complete it abeg you Sir. You cannot buy delegates conscience and expect love from Nigerians freely and just like that. Anything less than $5,000 no deal ooooo. It will be completely unfair Sir. Delegates cannot be smiling to the Banks after voting for you as a presidential candidate then the real electorates who will determine your presidency will be asked to be patriotic. Patriotism should have started from when you were canvassing for delegates vote. Grateful Sir. Yours sincerely.

Team lifeless won't like this. This is for them mrakeli62: A former Governor of Kaduna State and one of the 12 presidential aspirants on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi has said that the party’s presidential candidate, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, will be the best for Nigeria.
According to Markafi, who got 75 votes during the primary election, Atiku will return Nigeria to the right track if elected in 2019.
Makarfi, a former Chairman of the National Working Committee, NWC of the PDP, noted that the emergence of Atiku as the PDP flag bearer was an indication that the party has, “turned a new leaf in broadening the democratic process and space.”
This was contained in a congratulatory message dated October 8 which Makarfi personally signed, and addressed to Atiku, copies of which were made available to journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday. The message reads, “Your emergence as the candidate of the party has gone further to reinforce the new philosophy and the promise that the PDP holds for both the present and the future of this country. “Having known your strength of character, never-say-die spirit as well as total commitment to, and the dogged pursuit of any cause that you believe in, I have no doubt in my mind that you will successfully lead us in this very crucial battle to rescue our country and return it to the path of sanity.
“When prior to our party’s convention, we all came together to commit to the success of the party in 2019 elections irrespective of the outcome of the primaries, I personally did that, fully conscious of the fact that each one of the aspirants was eminently qualified to fly our flag. “The contest, as far as I am concerned, was not just an expression of the legitimate rights of individuals to give vent to their aspirations, but also a statement in how the party has turned a new leaf in broadening the democratic process and space. “I, therefore, write, on behalf of myself, my campaign organisation and all my supporters to warmly congratulate you on your success at the convention and to pledge our total support and commitment towards your, and the party’s success in the 2019 polls. “I am available to play any role expected of me in the pursuit of this noble objective.”

I get angry knowing that some people forced this Dillard on Nigerians just to ruin the good works of PDP thereby enabling highwired rape and robbery of the common purse. Lifeless threw the economy recession with just one policy: TSA He wasn't the originator. PDP was. It was not a punishment tool to get at people like Atiku. No . It was a financial leakage management policy . But lifeless came in and weaponised it. The entire west was experiencing economic meltdown that demanded that they recall some of their foreign investment to support a reinflation of their home economy. While these guys were pulling out their finances from Nigerian banks , lifeless was ordering the same banks to transfer all government deposit back to CBN. By the time the venture capitalists pulled out their funds and government took out theie deposit , the banks has no choice but to go after loans defaulter like the oil marketing companies and carry out massive retrenchment. The rest is history. That was the genesis is our recession eleojo23: Exactly...
That is why the country is in this mess today. Buhari doesn't understand economy at all. What does he even understand sef?
It pains me that many of us spent time on education to get good qualifications and exposure yet we are been governed by a clueless man who can't find his O'level certificate.
The guy cannot even think on his feet without reading from a script.
Heck, even majority of the teenagers on this Nairaland can do better than this Buhari. |

My biggest satisfaction was the fact that Atiku didn't visit him before the convention and when asked about his quarrel with Jim told those delegates that he didn't have any issue with him but if he had one with him that was his business and still went ahead to win the convention with a very wide margin Nigerians are not too kind to any man who wants to play God in a very descending manner ....it happened to obi in Anambra State . He lost even his local government. HungerBAD: Of course he is shocked.
For some strange reasons,Obasanjo seems to think he is an Oracle that everybody in Nigeria has to pour libations on before they do anything.
How can someone have such an unforgiving heart?truth is,Obasanjo has lost his relevance and it is always laughable when I hear people say dont count him out,and that he still carries weight politically.
Where exactly is Obasanjo relevant in Nigeria today?Ogun State?definitely not. In Lagos State?in Oyo?or maybe Kano and Bayelsa?
His time is past. Did anybody see Anenih at the convention?that one has given himself brain. Atiku should respect him as a Statesman, but do not fall into the trap of giving him any kind of audience.
We all should join hands in retiring Obasanjo, since he does not want to leave with respect. |

I do not think that those who works for the telcos would agree with you that Atiku was the only one who gained from his vice presidency from 1999'-2003 neither would depositors with our banks of then agree for today his government made the banks better As for going to America , I would prefer he stays here for the current president went there once and was described as lacking life . To prove us wrong he went again for un assembly and made attempt to see trump but was denied , he ended up disgracing Nigeria by having a unofficial phot session with an American official without his country power (American flag) behind him Atiku has in his private capacity provided 50,000 Nigerians with real job but lifeless has supervised over the retrenchment of 11,000,000 Nigerians Felixv: Atiku spent 8yrs in government - end result - no result.

Buhari share north 50/50 with Atiku
Atiku cant get more than 5 states up North Buhari had contested for three consecutive terms before he was helped to that seat by those currently in PDP. Theophilus Danjuma contributed a lot to his victory in Taraba state even though PDP won the governorship. Buhari is gone. The thing I like about this primary is that Atiku won without Obasanjo. If he had lost the media would have attributed it to the lack of support from Obasanjo and would have gone ahead to paint one picture of how Obasanjo called babangida and called the sultan and they agreed with him that it must not be Atiku. Obasanjo has a party or movement he created and launched. If he believes he is that powerful, he should transform it intl a formidable party and oil lamido as it flag bearer techstack: OBJ vs Atiku
OBJ will never agree with Atiku
I like the sportsmanship spirit from Atiku though |

TooNoisy: Too late for a consensus candidate now. Wike is trying so hard to force Tambuwal on everyone else but the other Governors can see through it all.
I am getting more convinced that Wike might be an APC mole. Tambuwal is not a strong candidate and be easily defeated in a general election. I dont put it past APC working with Wike, afterall they planted Ali Modu Sherrif to distabilize PDP.
At this point its either Atiku, Saraki or Kwankwaso. Only these 3 can challenge Buhari. This is the first time the party would be organizing a convention that would be free of governor's influence. I take it that there been out of power did them some good. Atiku remind the best prepared for the job. Sara I comes next for his ability to think on his feet and surmount obstacles then Kwankwaso... My problem with him is that his street followers are more like remnants of boko haram... Scruffy and dirty They can unleash mayhem on the country at the slightest provocation |
