Politics / Re: LP- An Igbo Woman Won Won House Of Reps In Lagos by TheManPregnant: 10:38pm On Mar 19, 2023
Kwashiman:
Omo yorubas need to really travel outside of their region and learn the culture of other people, cause it's embarrassing that most Yorubas including their educated ones can tell an Igbo name from a South South name!

I was educating one urchin earlier today concerning this, but she was busy arguing with me. As long as you are not Yoruba or Hausa, they will tag you igbo

It is their region. If you don’t like it, then you might as well go back to your region and keep fighting for restructuring/ separation/federalism etc. They only singled out just one ethnic group cos they know that ethnic group don’t have their best interest at heart.

Lol! Again

If you think their references of "Igbo" means only South Easterners, then you are very mistaken. In fact, I doubt if you have ever lived amongst them. You certainly do not know how they think, especially the mass of the non-elites in "yoruba land". The very ones the politicians are using to perpetuate this evil for selfish gain.

You need to go and learn what democracy is truly about and get some understanding of the enabling laws that allow people to vote and be voted for here in Nigeria. I have a right as an individual to determine who leads and represents me in any area within Nigeria I am registered to vote in.

Divergent political inclinations? Keep it to yourself. Don’t just participate in their local election. Let only them choose their rulers. I wouldn’t like it either if a foreigner chooses who will rule over me.

Lol! In a democracy?!

We need to stop deceiving ourselves. We are really not interested in the true ideals of a democratic system.

Imagine telling someone not to participate in elections where the person resides and is eligible to vote in.

This is absurd to say the least.

South South don’t have any issue with the Yorubas.

You have no idea! They don't know the difference between Ufuoma and Ifeoma! To the average Yoruba, we are all the same. They lump us together with the Igbo. This is the reason we must take what is going on in Lagos seriously! Don't think they care to know. Once they are done with the Igbos, any other group that has divergent political inclinations will be given the same treatment or even worse.

Idiota wey dey disguise dey support peter obi and GRV.
Later u people will start calling Yoruba coward when you are the real cowards. You can even change your ipob name or denial your tribe to push your myopic and selfish propagandas.
Rest and wait for Saturday chinedu

FYI I did not vote for Obi during the last election and I actually voted for Ogbara and Abiru.

Bigotry has finished your life in totality. It's just unfortunate that you are unaware of it.

Omo Nna or whatever the fvck you are. I'm not the cause of your frustration. Saturday is almost. here and your chinedu GRV imposter still won't win which would amount to second heartbreaks for y'all.

This post is about emu eggs and you bring my people into the conversation. The reverse psychology won't work idiota.
Next time don't start what you can't Finnish. We don't play politic of hate

When I mentioned "your people" I was referring to Nigerians in general. We have a penchant for decimating wildlife simply for the sake of our stomachs and in the process cause destruction to nature.

But unfortunately, you are very clannish and myopic in your reasoning. Anything placed in front of you is viewed through bigoted lenses. You forgot that I had no idea about the tribe you hail from and hurriedly jumped to the conclusion that I was Igbo.

It's quite sad. I truly hope you don't behave like this in real life.

I wonder what brought IPOB into this conversation? What gave you the impression that I am Igbo? I hope you don't behave like this in real life, it will be really unfortunate.
Politics / Re: LAGOS GUBER & PLIGHT OF IGBO: Law Of Reciprocity Is The Solution by TheManPregnant: 6:56am On Mar 16, 2023
How much are you really being paid to do this? It certainly cannot be for free! To spend so much time online pushing this despicable narative. To fan the embers of ethnic division amongst the people?

You want a full conflagration? Is that your end game?

For the past two weeks I have witnessed how you guys have gone on overdrive. Is it fear? Do you really have anything to be afraid of? Are the small percentage of igbo in Lagos enough to cause you to have sleepless nights?

Listen, you are not helping yourself and your sponsors. Doing this has exposed the reality that you are not as strong as you are in your stronghold!

It is truly unfortunate that a tribe that claims to engage in sophisticated and progressive political endeavours can be seen deploying this retrogressive level of propaganda on a massive scale as a strategy to win elections. Just too bad!

Today it is the igbo, tomorrow I wonder who they will tag next as their enemies.

Politics / Re: Exposed: Does Sanwo Olu Deserve A Second Term? by TheManPregnant: 12:49am On Mar 16, 2023
Truth be told. Sanwo-Olu is arguably the best governor in the class 2019-2023.

But despite his sterling performance, there are underlying issues that are very disturbing.

First and foremost, he is a beneficiary of a very corrupt and malevolent system. A system that perpetuates thuggery, violence, ethnic chauvinism, ballot box snatching, voter suppression and everything that epitomises what is wrong with Nigerian democracy today.

Second, he is undeniably a puppet! angry Just look at the way he was following the current President elect around during the campaign period! It was too shameful. At a certain point, I wondered who was now in charge of running the affairs of the state during the Presidential campaign.

Thirdly, he has continued a culture that ensures there is no transparency in the way Lagos is governed.

It's was absolutely cringe worthy watching him lead the prayer session after his principal was declared winner of a very flawed election. I decided to vote against him when I saw this on TV.

Sanwo-Olu, you are not bad, but you must go!

Crime / Re: How People Expect One To Take Shit Just Because One Is Educated by TheManPregnant: 7:38am On Mar 15, 2023
@Honeydenz you are meant to back away from such people and limit your interaction with them. It is not fear, but a deliberate attempt to remove yourself from certain influences (negative ones especially).

Whatever influences you to become angry or react violently or use toxic words on your fellow man, irrespective of the amount of provocation, should not be around you.

Probably because it would be unwise to protest during election period. When the elections are over, appropriate action will be taken.

Desmond is a half breed too. His mother is not yoruba. If we go by APC urchin logic, then his eligibility to represent the good people of Surulere is suspect.

Quite the contrary. I'm only taking a leaf out of the Book of Ethnicity from my brothers in the North and East. I am no more liberal. I will put my people first before anyone else. If it means I become an ethnic bigot, so be it!

"I am doing it because others are doing it" line of thinking is really low.

There is no face palm emoji on Nairaland. That is what I just did after reading your comment.

The unfortunate reality is that you will remain under the bondage of your oppressors while you are busy fighting your perceived enemy. Open your eyes and set yourself free.

We need to accommodate and help those who cannot help themselves. No matter how trivial it might seem.
