Dsalvo: It is necessary to rise above the murk and elevate the national consciousness above petty and primordial sentiments. The Tinubu camp has failed in this regard. Concerning the bolded statement, the so call "hatred" you perceive is nothing more than an illusion set up to ensure that the people at the bottom never unite. It is in the interest of the political elites that we view each other with suspicion and harbor ill thoughts towards our neighbours. The real enemy are in plain sight. Open your eyes! Obi, igbo, IPOB etc are not the real problem. Our oppressive elites that cut across all tribes and religions are the enemy. |

Dsalvo: Tinubu is a very potent political tactician. He would have been able to navigate the outcome by improving his Statemanship game and being very visible. Na strongman he be! This would have been the best way to disarm his opposition. |

Mynd44: You have missed it completely. The real issue here is the failure of the APC machinery (by extension Bola Tinubu) to effectively sell the narrative of national healing and reconciliation. It goes beyond issuing watery press releases and half-hearted gestures. You cannot tell people to move on without proper closure. What team Tinubu should have done was to pull a page out of the playbook of the late Umar Yar'adua. Openly admit the election process was flawed. Promise to review the process for the better once sworn in and make a big show of reaching out to other contestants to promote peace. This is would have done the trick, after tactically rigging the election. But insisting the process was free and fair, and then telling people to heal and move on portrayed insincerity. The question of legitimacy is what Tinubu should focus on, not this propaganda slug fest. 3 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Why Do Lagos State Government Focus On Third Mainland Bridge Instead Of Ojuelegb by TheManPregnant: 7:29am On Apr 03, 2023 |
Igboland: Your so called valid question has nothing to do with the topic or the question asked by the op. The op is not Igbo, yet you profiled and insulted the person simply because she asked a question about Lagos. The level you guys are dragging us to is appalling. It is quite unfortunate. 1 Like 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Apc's All Muslim Ticket Is A Declaration Of Religious War by TheManPregnant: 12:26am On Apr 03, 2023 |
People seem to have forgotten the Muslim clerics that declared and promoted the Muslim-Muslim ticket has a form of Jihad in the North. This was done openly and brazenly without any form of backlash. It even made Nairaland front page. Why the double standard now? 1 Like |

lhordspy: A ruse to hoodwink the gullible. We both know that the CJN exposè could easily be debunked with factual evidence! This audio leak was prepared well ahead of time and the CJN story was just to create an illusion of neutrality since they are attacking both sides. 11 Likes 1 Share |

lhordspy: It is completely political and the sole beneficiary of this leak is the APC (the president elect in particular). The level of desperation for legitimacy has taken a new turn. Just continue. We are watching to see how far you are willing to take it. 7 Likes 1 Share |

lhordspy: I thought you were all on the same team?! 😒😒😒 The propaganda machinery of APC! Or should I say Tinubu? You guys have no scruples and know no boundaries. The chicken will come home to roost. The recording of the call was obtained from a network service provider (my educated guess). People within the institutions and organisations that should show neutrality have allowed themselves to be compromised for the sake of politics. There's no point expressing disappointment. The chicken will come home to roost. Don't forget that. 17 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Nigeria Can Never Be One,why Continue This Try? by TheManPregnant: 12:45pm On Apr 02, 2023 |
Tribalism and religion are still a very effective tools in the hands of the political elites. This is part of what they have used to perpetuate themselves in power. They do not want the country to disintegrate, and at the same time, they do not want the masses to unite and be of one mind. The moment people understand that only dichotomy that truly exists is that of the politically rich and the poor, they will set aside their tribal differences and face their real enemy. |
Politics / Re: APC Did Threatened To Form A Parallel Government If The 2015 Election Is Rigged by TheManPregnant: 12:38pm On Apr 02, 2023 |
Bobloco: Thank you for this post. The Internet indeed never forgets. This devilish party used all sorts of tactics to secure power in 2015. Once they took control, they are doing everything possible to prevent the same strategies from being deployed against them. It's just too bad we do not have a virile opposition to effectively tackle them. |
