Thank you sir.

Tinubu square around central mosque is where you get high quality materials. But you have to take the materials to Yaba for them to design. But if you really want to see the ingenuity in curtain making, your best bet is Ariara market in Aba.

And do we have anyone into both on this platform?

Thank you

Thank you sir, I finally got it at N4,000.

PrimeQuay:
About 3,800-4,000
Depending on your area and negotiating power (quantity)

I stand to be corrected.

Price in inputs like sharp sand and granite has also increased

Sir where did you see 140k in my post?

badbreathcure101:
So you can afford a duplex of over 30-33m but that 140k is what will now make you sleep and not wake up? I have a suggestion, why not buy a roller and do the job yourself then save 140k plus you will be more happy with the job since you did it yourself.

Get shame nah when u no dey craze.

Ogas in the house please help me out with the attached quotation I received from my baba lati painter for my upcoming painting job of my standard 4 bedroom duplex. Please is this quotations normal?

PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Thenext: 11:21pm On Feb 19, 2022
Baba please can you give us the likely rate per square meter to be paid to a painter?

quote author=EgunMogaji2 post=110374676]

My painter and paint supplier are both NairaLanders and on this thread.

My suggestion is for an industry rate per square meter. It’ll protect both painter and paintee.

Of course highly skilled painter and more complex jobs may attract a surcharge.
The person has to be very careful in dealing with Checkitout, he is a crook and fraudster. I still have my 380k with him since last year May. He failed to deliver goods for me and at the same time refused to return my money.

CHECKITOUT IS A FRAUDSTER OOOO

Same thing happened to my engineer on my recent project.

He dropped all Nigerians for Togolese/Beninoise because of non seriousness of Nigerians which my self can attestate to it. They were just doing I don’t with jobs

michlins:
just recently, I was at a site of one engineer from here. It happened that he already changed his plastering team. The new guys are so good but unfortunately, they're togolese. I talked to him about it and he said his former team got lazy and nonchalant towards the job so he had to drop them. This is a team that is assured of new job every month but they couldn't keep up. Now some of the money will be leaving Nigeria for Togo monthly.

There's fire on the mountain in this country but we're not even aware yet
PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Thenext: 2:38pm On Feb 06, 2022
I think it depends on the quality of plastering you want. I used roughly 600bags for my 4 bedroom duplex with two units of 3 bedroom flats. The plastering was done by the Beninoise guys and the job was so perfect.
praise010:
Greetings house... Pls any idea of quantity of cement to plaster a house of 4 No of 2 bedroom flat and 4 bedroom Duplex.

Again, must I do screeding after plastering?

Any recommendation for plastering?

Property is around Ojo, Lagos

Baba Egun esheun gan niooo… please do you have the pix of the real wood doors, where it can be gotten and price. And also can it be used for toilet doors?

EgunMogaji2:
I’m going for real wood on my build. Second choice would have been manufactured wood. Did not consider metal for interior doors as they’ll sound and echo like pangolo.

Good luck on your project.

Thank you sir.

Not if you have gotten your visa, it is not necessary. If you're yet to apply, you just might do it to avoid unnecessary questions and delay.

Alright madam. Thank you very much

jesudaughter:
For my kids, nothing o! They have been having the name from birth. Although, I have newspaper publication I did when I married. Never had a reason to use it.
You can do a newspaper publication, just in case.
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Thenext: 9:07pm On Nov 03, 2021
Thanks madam, but please which legal documents did you use for that?
jesudaughter:
No problem at all, my kids and I are bearing different surname from my husband. Never encountered any issue with it at home and abroad.

Thank you sir

Aphrodite007:
Just attach the affidavit. And have a copy ready to be shown or shared, if asked. You’ll be fine, women change their names everyday.

Thank you very much.

quote author=beryour post=107292769]Not compulsory, but I would say its better to tick off all boxes.

Some of the newspaper advert cost around NGN5k-10k, so you should prolly get it done with.
Thanks and appreciate. Please do you know if it’s necessary for me to do newspaper advert in addition to the affidavit?
TheGuyFromHR:
You've already made a legal name change. Your children are still under your parental authority so you and their other parent have the right to assign to them any names you choose. Are you having second thoughts or do you want to reverse the name change? Perhaps to try Oluwatunji?

As to whether that could cause complications for you at an airport, obviously if you're travelling with them you will (or should) carry all legal documentation regarding your status as their parent and the name change, so you should be able to explain matters to anyone who asks.

Please I need your contribution on this matter.
The surname on all my credentials (WAEC, degree, NIN, international passport etc) is Tunji, but I don’t want my children to bear Tunji but Olatunji. My children now have Olatunji as there surname on there birth certificates and NIN. I have done affidavit in court to claim that I am the same person having surname as Tunji and Olatunji. So my questions are, is this acceptable legally and will there be any problem at the airport when traveling abroad with the children. Or any future implications for me and the children.
